Abstract

For maximum learning we must develop skills or abilities as potential that we have, such as the ability to think as a means in learning to involve students in learning activities in class. This study aims to find out whether there are differences in students creative thingking abilities with the application of the Mind Mapping method in social studies class IV SD Negeri Rancailat 1 Kabupaten Tangerang. The research method used was quasi-experimental, with the research design used in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample studied was class IVA students as an experimental class totaling 25 students and class IVB as a control class totaling 25 students. The analysis technique in this study was the Test-T. based on the result of the T-test calculation, obtained Thitung of 4,5814 and the Ttabel of 2,01063. Thus fulfilling the test criteria Thitung>Ttabel then Ha is accepted at a significant level 5%. Which means there are differences in students creative thingking abilities with the application of the Mind Mapping method of fourth grade elementary school students in IPSsubjects, in material (1) production, distribution and consumption economic activities (2) types of work related to lifestyle surrounding community (3) types of jobs that produce goods and service.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of the role of family and school as the two main environments in shaping the character and behavior of students. The purpose of this literature review study is to examine how parenting patterns and the educational environment influence the character of junior high school students. The research method used is a literature study by examining various research results from relevant accredited national journals. This is a qualitative study. The results indicate that parenting styles and the school environment play a positive and significant role in shaping students' morals, both when the two interact simultaneously and when each stands alone. Democratic parenting proved to be the most effective in fostering commendable character, such as responsibility, politeness, and honesty, while a conducive, disciplined, and religious school environment also strengthened the process of internalizing moral values in students' daily lives. Furthermore, the synergy between families and schools contributes significantly to shaping consistent and sustainable moral character. Thus, the results of this research synthesis confirm that the formation of students' moral character is not only the responsibility of schools, but also the result of harmonious interaction between family parenting styles and the school environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ reading comprehension through the application of the Reading Theatre method. The research employed Classroom Action Research consisting of two cycles conducted with 27 sixth-grade students of SD Negeri Kalukuang, Gowa Regency. Each cycle included planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation and reading comprehension tests. The results showed an improvement in students’ reading comprehension achievement. In Cycle I, 17 students (62.96%) achieved the minimum mastery criteria, while in Cycle II, the number increased to 23 students (85.19%). These findings indicate that the Reading Theatre method effectively improves reading comprehension skills of sixth-grade students.

Abstract

This research stems from the low listening skills of fifth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang, which are largely caused by the lack of variety in teaching models and learning media. Such conditions make students less focused and easily bored during learning activities. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of applying the Inductive Learning Model combined with the animated video “Pada Zaman Dahulu” on improving students’ listening skills.The study employed a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design (Nonequivalent Control Group Design) and used the purposive sampling technique. The participants consisted of two classes: an experimental class with 28 students and a control class with 25 students. The learning process was carried out over four sessions using an essay test on listening skills that had been validated and proven reliable. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, followed by an Independent Sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the listening skills of the experimental class. The average pretest score increased from 50.93 to 77.79 in the posttest, while the control class increased from 42.36 to 54.52. The result of the Independent Sample t-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the Inductive Learning Model assisted by the animated video “Pada Zaman Dahulu” has a positive and significant effect on improving the listening skills of fifth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang.

Abstract

This study addresses the increasing prevalence of deviant behaviors among students in the digital era, such as cyberbullying, exposure to inappropriate online content, and weakened self-control, which pose serious challenges to moral and character development in educational settings. The purpose of this research is to examine the role of character-based Islamic education as a preventive strategy against deviant behavior and to analyze the strategies implemented by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students’ moral, spiritual, and social awareness. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method to obtain an in-depth and holistic understanding of the phenomenon. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving PAI teachers and students in madrasah settings, and were analyzed thematically to identify key patterns and meanings. The findings indicate that character-based Islamic education plays a significant role in preventing deviant behavior by strengthening internal moral awareness, self-control, and ethical decision-making rooted in faith (iman) and piety (taqwa). Effective strategies include teacher role modeling (uswah hasanah), habituation of positive religious practices, integration of moral values into daily learning activities, and collaboration between schools, families, and communities. These strategies contribute to the development of positive social behavior, responsibility, discipline, and resilience against negative digital influences. The study concludes that character-based Islamic education offers a holistic and contextual preventive approach, emphasizing internal moral formation rather than external control, and is highly relevant for addressing contemporary behavioral challenges faced by students in the digital age.

Abstract

The use of technology-based learning media for elementary school students has become a crucial need in the digital era. Challenges faced by conventional learning, such as low motivation and difficulty understanding abstract concepts, drive the need for innovative teaching methods. This study aims to analyze the types of technology-based learning media that are effective in increasing elementary school students' motivation and understanding. The method used is descriptive qualitative through literature review and case studies. The results show that interactive multimedia, mobile applications, educational games, learning videos, and LMS contribute positively to learning motivation and conceptual understanding. Technology integration also supports the development of students' digital skills and creates more effective and engaging learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the jama' method in learning tahfiz al-Qur'an at the BKB Kemas Mawar Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institution. The congregational method is a method of memorizing the Qur'an that emphasizes memorization collectively or in groups. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of the jama' method in PAUD BKB Kemas Mawar has been implemented well. This method is considered effective in increasing motivation and the ability to memorize the Koran in young children. Apart from that, the jama' method is also able to create a fun and collaborative learning atmosphere between students. However, there are several obstacles to its implementation, such as variations in children's abilities, availability of teaching resources, and limited learning time. Therefore, efforts are needed to optimize the application of the jama' method through improving teacher quality, more efficient time management, and adapting to student characteristics. Abstract

The reading comprehension ability of third-grade elementary school students is still low despite the implementation of various conventional teaching strategies. This gap hinders the achievement of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Merdeka Curriculum. This study analyzes the effect of the Cooperative Script learning model assisted by Canva animation media on the reading comprehension ability of lower-grade elementary school students. A quasi-experimental study with a Non-Equivalent Post-Test Only Control Group Design was used in this study. The research subjects consisted of 47 third-grade elementary school students, with 29 students in the experimental group and 18 students in the control group. Data were collected through a 20-item multiple-choice test measuring Bloom's taxonomy levels C1-C6 in narrative texts, validated for content by two experts, and tested for reliability using KR-20. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and independent t-test with pooled variance. The research results analyzed a significant increase in reading comprehension skills in the experimental group that received the Cooperative Script model assisted by Canva animation compared to the control group. The visual collaborative model proved to optimize comprehension from literal to critical levels through alternating oral summaries and dynamic text visualizations. This study concludes that integrating the Cooperative Script with digital animation media is effective in closing the elementary literacy gap, supporting essential learning in the Independent Curriculum. Its implications include producing ready-to-use teaching modules for Indonesian language teachers and recommendations for digital literacy policies in elementary school clusters.

Abstract

Learning in schools has an important role in conveying knowledge to students. Submission of this material can be obtained from the environment around where students live which is packaged in a story as student literacy. This study aims to produce flipbook media based on local wisdom in Semarang City regarding My Experience in Tourist Attractions as literacy for second grade elementary school students who meet valid and practical criteria. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE model which includes five stages, namely: analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The subjects in this study were media expert validators, material experts, and the responses of class II students at SDN Gajahmungkur 04 with a total of 16 students. The research instruments included validation questionnaire sheets (media and materials) and practicality questionnaire sheets. The results showed that flipbook media based on local wisdom in Semarang City regarding My Experience in Tourist Attractions as literacy for second grade elementary school students obtained a validation percentage by media experts of 95.59% with very valid criteria, the percentage of validation by material experts was 100% with very valid criteria. valid. The average percentage of validation is 97.79% with very valid criteria. The percentage of the practicality test from the results of the student questionnaire obtained 90.6% with very practical criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that this study produced flipbook media based on local wisdom in the City of Semarang regarding My Experience in Tourist Attractions as Literacy for Class II Elementary School Students which is valid and practical.

Abstract

The This study aims to improve poetry writing skills through the sensory writing learning method for fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Serenan in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 19 students. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and field notes. The assessment aspects included title selection, figurative language, diction, message, and creativity. The results showed an improvement in students’ learning outcomes. In Cycle I, the average score was 67.36 (fair category), which increased to 81.25 (good category) in Cycle II. The improvement reached 20.62% and met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (70). Therefore, the sensory writing method is effective in enhancing students’ poetry writing skills. Keywords: Sensory Writing, Poetry Writing, Writing Skills, Classroom Action Research, Elementary School ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi melalui metode pembelajaran sensory writing pada siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 1 Serenan Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 19 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Aspek penilaian meliputi pemilihan judul, gaya bahasa, diksi, amanat, dan kreativitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 67,36 dengan kategori cukup, kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 81,25 dengan kategori baik. Peningkatan hasil belajar mencapai 20,62% dan telah memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang ditetapkan yaitu 70. Dengan demikian, metode sensory writing efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa.
