Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed social life, particularly in the areas of entertainment and economic activities. One phenomenon that has increasingly emerged alongside this development is the widespread practice of online gambling among young people. Online gambling offers easy access, anonymity, and the promise of instant financial gain, making it attractive to youths who are in a transitional phase of identity formation. However, involvement in online gambling often develops into addictive behavior that generates negative consequences not only for individuals but also for families and the broader social environment. This study aims to describe public perceptions of youth addicted to online gambling, identify factors contributing to such behavior, and analyze the resulting social impacts. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using in-depth interviews with community leaders, parents, community members, and youths who were or had been involved in online gambling. The findings indicate that most community members perceive online gambling addiction as a deviant behavior that contradicts social and religious norms, although some still regard it as a private matter. Contributing factors include easy access to technology, peer influence, economic pressure, and weak family supervision. The social impacts include family conflict, decreased youth productivity, dishonest behavior, and declining participation in community activities. Therefore, collaborative efforts involving families, communities, educational institutions, and government policies are essential to prevent and address online gambling addiction among youths.

Abstract

Education is very important in human life at all times. Or it is called lifelong education, because education has a role in improving the quality of Indonesian people as a whole. The problem that forms the background of this study is the low learning outcomes of class II students at SDN 1 Padang Laweh in mathematics content in learning theme 4 sub-themes 2. In an effort to overcome this problem it is necessary to apply the picture and picture learning model to mathematics content. This study uses the type of Pre-Experimental design One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population and sample are all 15 students in grade II SDN 1 Padang Laweh. The results of data collection techniques were taken using pretest and posttest sheets calculated and compared based on criteria and analyzed by normality tests and hypothesis tests through SPSS 20 at a level of 0.05. While the test data collection technique was taken using a test sheet and then also analyzed using the normality test and hypothesis testing through SPSS 20 at a level of 0.05. The results of data analysis from hypothesis testing on paired sample tests with a significance level of 0.05 show the results of sig. (2-tailed) is smaller than a or in the equation 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected. While the results of the analysis of the test data from the hypothesis test on the paired sample test with a significance level of 0.05 showed the results of sig. (2-tailed) is smaller than a or in the equation 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected. Based on the results of the analysis of observation data and test data, it can be concluded that the picture and picture model has a significant influence on student learning outcomes in class II elementary school mathematics content

Abstract

Metaphorical Depiction of Emotional Experience and Inner Reality of Characters in the Novel Rumah untuk Alie by Lenn Liu. This study aims to describe the metaphorical depiction of emotional experiences and inner realities of characters in the novel Rumah untuk Alie by Lenn Liu. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method. The research data consists of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences containing metaphors in the novel Rumah untuk Alie by Lenn Liu. The data source for this research is the text of the novel Rumah untuk Alie, 11th edition, 2025. Data collection is carried out through reading and recording techniques with data identification and classification stages. The research instrument is the researcher himself (human instrument) assisted by a metaphor data recording sheet. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the metaphors in the novel Rumah untuk Alie are predominantly sourced from human physical and sensory experiences, such as drowning, physical injuries, building collapses, sharp object punctures, and sensations of tightness. These metaphors are used to represent the emotional experiences and inner realities of the characters, such as longing, grief, trauma, inner wounds, and emotional release. The use of metaphors serves to strengthen meaning, build character depth, and enrich the beauty of language in the novel.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Inclusive education is a strategic approach to ensuring equal access to quality education for all students, including children with special needs (CSN), within regular schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation, challenges, and strategies of inclusive education at SDS Muhammadiyah IDI Tello Baru. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving interviews, classroom observations, document analysis, and group discussions with students. The participants included the principal, classroom teachers, parents of children with special needs, and students. The findings indicate that the school demonstrates an initial commitment to non-discrimination and inclusive values; however, the implementation remains limited and largely informal. Major challenges include the absence of special education teachers, lack of inclusive learning tools, and minimal structured collaboration with parents. Teachers adapt learning materials and assessment flexibly, but without formal guidelines. This study concludes that inclusive education requires systemic reinforcement through teacher capacity building, curriculum adaptation, and sustainable collaboration between schools, families, and stakeholders. Keywords: Inclusive Education, Children With Special Needs, Teacher Role ABSTRAK Pendidikan inklusif merupakan pendekatan strategis untuk menjamin akses pendidikan yang bermutu dan berkeadilan bagi seluruh peserta didik, termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK), di sekolah reguler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi, tantangan, dan strategi pendidikan inklusif di SDS Muhammadiyah IDI Tello Baru. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi pembelajaran, analisis dokumen, serta diskusi kelompok siswa. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru kelas, orang tua siswa ABK, serta peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah memiliki komitmen awal terhadap prinsip nondiskriminasi dan penerimaan ABK, namun implementasi pendidikan inklusif masih bersifat terbatas dan belum terstruktur. Tantangan utama meliputi belum tersedianya guru pendamping khusus, keterbatasan fasilitas pendukung, serta kolaborasi sekolah dan orang tua yang belum optimal. Guru melakukan adaptasi pembelajaran secara fleksibel, namun belum didukung perangkat pembelajaran ramah inklusi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan sistem, peningkatan kompetensi guru, dan kolaborasi multipihak menjadi kunci keberhasilan pendidikan inklusif di sekolah dasar. Abstract

Learning in elementary schools requires the use of teaching methods that can enhance students’ activeness, motivation, and understanding of learning materials. One method considered effective in addressing these needs is Game-Based Learning (GBL), a learning approach that utilizes games as instructional media to achieve learning objectives. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Game-Based Learning method as a learning medium and to analyze its impact on the activeness and learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Imogiri. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research subjects consist of fifth-grade students and a classroom teacher, while the research object is the implementation of Game-Based Learning in the learning process. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that the implementation of Game-Based Learning increases students’ learning motivation, encourages active participation in learning activities, and helps students better understand the learning materials. The learning atmosphere becomes more enjoyable, interactive, and less monotonous, leading to higher student enthusiasm during the learning process. Therefore, Game-Based Learning is proven to be an effective, innovative, and enjoyable alternative learning medium for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Toulmin argument pattern in teaching argumentative writing to eleventh-grade students at SMK Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi. This research employed a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The sources of data included one Indonesian language teacher and 27 students of class XI in the Light Vehicle Engineering program. The data were analyzed descriptively through the stages of data organization, reduction, categorization, interpretation, and narrative presentation. The results showed that the implementation of the Toulmin argument pattern had a positive impact on students’ ability to write argumentative texts. The learning process became more structured and systematic as students were guided to construct the elements of argument, namely claim, data, warrant, backing, qualifier, and rebuttal. Based on the analysis of students’ argumentative texts, 80% of the students were categorized as very good and 20% as good. These findings indicate that the Toulmin argument pattern is effective in improving the structure of arguments as well as students’ logical and critical thinking skills in argumentative writing.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low learning outcomes of Pancasila Education in grade IV at SD Negeri 1 Natar. This research aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model based on Quizizz Paper Mode on Pancasila Education learning outcomes. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The population consists of 112 students, and the sample used includes 29 students from grade IV A and 27 students from grade IV B, the sample are determined using purposive sampling. The data collection techniques uses tests in the form of pretests and posttests as well as non-tests in the form of observations. The data were analyzed using a simple linear regression test, and the result of 0.00<0.05 indicates that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The result of this research represent that there is an effect of implementing the Teams Games Tournament cooperative learning model based on Quizizz Paper Mode on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education for Grade IV students at SD Negeri 1 Natar in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject of class VI SDN 1 Pagar Air. One effort that can be done to improve student learning outcomes is by using interactive media baamboozle in learning. This study aims (1) to determine teacher activities through the use of interactive media baamboozle (2) to determine student activities through the use of interactive media baamboozle (3) to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes through the use of interactive media baamboozle. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the research were all students of class VI B SDN 1 Pagar Air, Aceh Besar Regency, totaling 26 students. Based on the results of the research cycle I and II, the following data were obtained. The percentage of teacher activity in cycle I was 75% with good criteria, increasing in cycle II to 88% with very good criteria. Student activity in cycle I was 61% categorized as sufficient criteria, increasing in cycle II to 83% categorized as very good criteria. The percentage of student learning outcomes before being given the action was 46% categorized as very poor, increased in cycle I to 61% categorized as sufficient, and increased again in cycle II to 88% categorized as very good. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of interactive media baamboozle can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of science.

Abstract

This study aims to identify leading sectors and analyze their contribution to economic growth in Solok City during the 2019–2024 period. Economic growth is a crucial indicator for measuring the success of a region's development. As a strategic location in West Sumatra Province, Solok City possesses significant economic potential, particularly in the agriculture, trade, and transportation sectors. These sectors have long been the mainstays of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). However, the dynamics of global and local economic change demand empirical analysis to identify which sectors are truly superior, possessing competitiveness and long-term development potential. This study aims to identify leading sectors and analyze their contribution to Solok City's economic growth to ensure more effective and sustainable regional development. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach utilizing secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Solok City and West Sumatra Province for the 2019–2024 period. The analytical methods employed include the Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), and the Klassen Typology. These three methods are used in an integrated manner to measure sectoral contributions, assess growth prospects, and map the position of Solok City's economic sectors within the regional context. The research results show that the trade and transportation sectors are basic and prospective, indicated by LQ and DLQ values greater than one. The agricultural sector continues to contribute significantly, despite its slowing growth. Strengthening leading sectors through modernization, infrastructure development, and cross-sector integration is essential to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Solok City.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by Wordwall media in learning to write exposition texts for Phase E students of SMK Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were 30 students of class X TKR Phase E, while the Indonesian language teacher served as a supporting data source. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments consisted of teacher and student observation sheets, teaching module observation sheets, teacher and student interview guidelines, exposition text assessment indicators and their detailed indicators covering aspects of content/topic suitability, structure, integration and clarity of flow, linguistic rules, and spelling and grammar. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that learning to write exposition texts with the Picture and Picture model assisted by Wordwall was carried out in two meetings and ran interactively. Visual media in the form of images helped students understand the process flow concretely, while Wordwall increased engagement and learning motivation. Based on the assessment results, the average writing ability score was 86 (very good category), with 18 students in the very good category, 9 students in the good category, and 3 students in the fair category. This finding is in line with several previous studies that demonstrated the effectiveness of the Picture and Picture and Wordwall models in writing learning. Overall, the Picture and Picture model assisted by Wordwall has proven effective in increasing student engagement and the quality of expository text writing.
