Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model on students' critical thinking skills in Mathematics learning for fifth graders at SDN 101775 Sampali. This research was conducted at SDN 101775 Sampali using a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students at SDN 101775 Sampali, consisting of two classes totaling 62 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and tests. The instrument used in this study was an essay test to measure students' critical thinking skills. The results of the study showed a significant and positive influence between before and after the implementation of the SSCS learning model in improving critical thinking skills in fifth-grade mathematics learning. This is evidenced by the results of the hypothesis test with a t-test obtained a significance value of 0.045 <0.05. This indicates that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Search, Solve, Create, and Share Learning Model on Students' Critical Thinking Skills in Fifth-grade Mathematics Learning at SDN 101775 Sampali.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan media animasi menggunakan storyset pada tema 8 subtema manusia dan lingkungan di kelas V. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan atau research and development (R&D) menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subyek penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas V SDN Parung 02. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, angket validasi ahli dan angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian diperoleh: rata-rata validasi ahli dengan persentase 97% dalam kategori “sangat layak”; rata-rata respon siswa dengan persentase 94,83% termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik”; dan nilai rata-rata peserta didik adalah 87,66 sehingga mendapat nilai keberhasilan peserta didik sebesar 93,33%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media animasi menggunakan storyset ini dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta didik kelas V pada tema 8 subtema manusia dan lingkungan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students on the material of place value in class II SDK St. Yoseph 4 Naikoten which shows the need for learning innovation to overcome this, using traditional engklek games that combine physical activity with educational elements, so that it is expected to be able to help students understand the concept of place value in a more concrete and fun way. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of traditional engklek games on mathematics learning outcomes on the material of place value of class II students SDK St. Yoseph 4 Naikoten. The type of research used is Pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was all class II students totaling 26 people, with saturated sampling sampling techniques. The research instruments were tests and documentation. The results showed that after the application of engklek games in learning place value material, there was an increase in student learning outcomes as seen from the average pretest score of 45.38 increasing to 89.23 on the posttest. The paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The N-Gain calculation of 0.8063 is considered high. Therefore, learning using Engklek games is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes in the place value topic for second-grade students at St. Yoseph 4 Naikoten Elementary School.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of social communication among residents in the Gang Pertiwi Baru neighborhood, Bantan Village, Medan Tembung Subdistrict, Medan City. The method used was quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The study population consisted of 59 people, with a sample of 34 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted via a questionnaire using a Likert scale consisting of 20 statements. The data were analyzed using mean calculations. The results of the study indicate that the mean score for social communication was 4.36, which falls into the “very good” category. The indicator of community cooperation received the highest score, while the indicators of information dissemination and community participation were still relatively lower. This indicates that social communication has been effective; however, improvements are still needed in the equitable distribution of information and community involvement so that social communication can function more optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of STEM-integrated Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in enhancing 21st century skills in science education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This study reviewed 17 scientific articles published between 2020 and 2024, obtained from the Google Scholar database. The analysis process was conducted through identification, screening, and selection stages based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results indicate that the implementation of STEM-integrated PjBL consistently has a positive impact on 21st century skills, particularly critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer reveals that research trends are shifting toward the integration of technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainability issues. Furthermore, the effectiveness of PjBL-STEM implementation is influenced by the use of real-world problems, active student engagement, and interdisciplinary integration of STEM. In conclusion, STEM-integrated PjBL can serve as an effective and relevant instructional approach to improve the quality of science learning and to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

This research examines the collection of ancient manuscripts at the North Sumatra Museum of the History of the Qur'an as authentic material evidence of the process of Islamization in the region. Using qualitative methods through observation and historiographical studies, the study explores the physical characteristics and decorative motifs of the manuscripts, which represent local cultural identity. The findings indicate that the diversity of the manuscript collection attests to the existence of intellectual activity and a well-established tradition of Qur'an copying in North Sumatra since ancient times. Analysis of these artifacts confirms that the spread of Islam occurred through dynamic cultural acculturation, while also emphasizing North Sumatra's strategic position in the history of Islamic literacy in the Indonesian archipelago.

Abstract

Abstract: The Museum of Qur'an History of North Sumatra is one of the important facilities in preserving Islamic heritage in Indonesia. The existence of this museum functions not only as a place to store historical artifacts but also as an educational medium for the public regarding the history, writing, and development of the Qur'an over time. This article aims to identify and describe the role of the Museum of Qur'an History of North Sumatra in preserving Islamic heritage. The method used in this study is a literature review by examining various relevant sources. The results show that the museum plays a role as a center of education, preservation of history, and a religious tourism facility that provides benefits to the community in increasing understanding and love for the Qur'an. Therefore, the museum has a significant contribution in maintaining Islamic values in the modern era.

Abstract

Video Pembelajaran pada pembelajaran Seni Musik merupakan salah satu media berbasis teknologi yang dapat dikembangkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada di sekolah. Permasalahan dalam pembelajaran yang monoton sehingga kurangnya pemahaman peserta didik dalam materi pembelajaran di kelas. Dengan bantuan Kinemaster, guru dapat menghasilkan berbagai video pembelajaran yang menarik dan komprehensif dengan karakteristik yang beragam. Dengan menggunakan video pembelajaran berbasis Kinemaster ini peserta didik mampu mengetahui pembelajaran Seni Musik dengan baik untuk meningkatkan kembali pembelajaran yang kreatif, unik dan tidak monoton. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan (Research and Development) menggunakan pendekatan ADDIE, Analyz, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Hasil analisis data dari angket memperoleh persentase sebesar 87,42% serta hasil evaluasi peserta didik memperoleh 90%, Sedangkan ahli media memperoleh hasil 96%, ahli Bahasa memperoleh hasil persentase 94%, dan ahli materi memperoleh hasil persentase sebesar 93,33%. Berdasarkan proses pengembangan produk video pembelajaran dan hasil uji coba video pembelajaran berbasis kinemaster pada pembelajaran seni musik kelas IV-B di SDN Cilebut 02 , dapat disimpulkan sangat layak digunakan dan dikatakan valid.

Abstract

The research problem in this study lies in the low level of enthusiasm among early-age students in memorizing Juz ‘Amma. This condition is indicated by the inconsistency of memorization, the tendency to lose focus during the recitation submission process, and the lack of enthusiasm in adding new memorization. These conditions require a learning strategy that can foster students’ learning enthusiasm. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the types of reward stamps, their impacts, as well as the challenges and obstacles in their implementation in fostering students’ enthusiasm in memorizing Juz ‘Amma at Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPQ) AL - WALAD Cipondoh, Tangerang City. This research employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document studies. The data analysis in this study used an interactive model which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was tested through credibility methods, particularly by applying a triangulation approach. The results of the study show that the type of reward stamp implemented at Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPQ) AL - WALAD Cipondoh is in the form of tiered star stamps used as an appreciation for students’ efforts and processes in memorizing Juz ‘Amma. The provision of reward stamps has a positive impact on fostering students’ enthusiasm, as reflected in increased enthusiasm, self-confidence, activeness, and courage in submitting their memorization. However, its implementation also faces several challenges, such as differences in students’ abilities, limited time, students’ emotional conditions, and student absenteeism. These challenges are addressed by teachers through individual approaches, positive reinforcement, and the gradual and fair management of reward stamps.

Abstract

The quality of learning in schools is strongly influenced by teachers’ professionalism, particularly pedagogical competence in planning, implementing, and evaluating the learning process. The improvement of teachers’ professionalism is closely related to the leadership role of the principal through the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM). This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the principal’s leadership role through managerial functions in SBM, which include planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, in improving teachers’ professionalism at SD Negeri 1 Lambheu, Aceh Besar Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation and interviews with the principal and teachers. Data analysis used the model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that: (1) the planning function is carried out in a participatory manner by involving teachers in preparing work programs and learning tools; (2) the organizing function is implemented through the division of tasks according to teachers’ competencies and the management of learning facilities; (3) the actuating function is conducted through motivation, guidance, and strengthening collaboration among teachers; and (4) the controlling function is carried out through classroom supervision and evaluation of teachers’ performance. The implementation of the principal’s managerial functions through SBM contributes to improving teachers’ pedagogical professionalism. In general, the findings indicate that the principal’s leadership, implemented through systematic and continuous managerial functions within the framework of School-Based Management, is effective in enhancing teachers’ professionalism.
