Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model used by teachers in teaching Integrated mathematic in the fourth grade of SDN Sawahbesar 01 Semarang. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data is collected through observation and documentation. All fourth-grade students, consisting of 14 male students and 14 female students, are involved as research participants. Based on the research findings, it is found that the Problem Based Learning model used in mathematic teaching at SDN Sawahbesar 01 Semarang has been implemented well and has followed the 5 phases in the PBL cycle. Positive feedback from students towards problem-based learning indicates that students are able to learn using this PBL model. Based on the assessment of the implementation of learning steps and student involvement in problem-solving, the implementation of the problem-based learning model in SDN Sawahbesar Semarang for fourth-grade students is considered successful.

Abstract

Maritime safety is the top priority when vessels enter narrow channels, which carry a high risk of accidents. Rule 9 COLREG 1972 serves as an important guideline, and this study analyzes its implementation on the Tirta Samudra XXXVIII – a Gen-eral Cargo vessel owned by PT. USDA SEROJA JAYA, operating on routes across Indonesia through narrow channels in Surabaya and Central Kalimantan. This re-search uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques including observa-tion, interviews, and document studies. The results show that the implementation of the rules has been well-executed: maintaining the vessel’s position on the starboard side of the channel using radar, AIS, GPS, and echo sounder; adjusting speed; con-ducting continuous observations; and communicating in accordance with regula-tions. A safety briefing is always conducted before entering the channel to anticipate potential hazards. The challenges faced include external factors (high traffic density, small vessels/fishermen obstructing the route, unfavorable weather/sea conditions) and internal factors (over-reliance on automated systems, suboptimal coordination, and varying levels of understanding among the crew). To address these issues, comprehensive measures have been taken: for external factors, the vessel monitors information from BMKG (Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Ge-ophysics), tide tables, and VTS (Vessel Traffic Service); reduces speed and com-municates with other vessels during heavy traffic; and uses VHF communication and evasive maneuvers when there are obstructions. For internal factors, the com-pany conducts regular training, emergency simulations, briefings, and evaluations; updates navigation equipment; and implements a closed communication system with clear roles.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the academic development of children with special needs who have a combination of hyperactivity and slow learning characteristics, analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing their academic progress, and evaluate the strategies applied by teachers to support their academic development in formal education settings. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 8 Biau, Buol Regency, Central Sulawesi, using a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques included observation, semistructured interviews, and documentation. The results show that the academic development of children with special needs progresses gradually, especially in reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Key supporting factors include the active role of teachers, parental support, and positive social interactions at school. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors involve limited understanding among regular teachers about special needs, the absence of special education assistants, and inadequate support at home due to parents’ limited education and economic resources. Teachers applied individual learning approaches, visual media, simplified language, repetition of material, and positive reinforcement to keep students focused and engaged in learning activities. The findings conclude that collaboration between teachers, parents, and the school environment plays a crucial role in supporting the academic development of children with special needs. With appropriate strategies and a supportive environment, children with hyperactive and slow learner conditions still have the potential to grow and achieve academically in formal educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the associative meanings contained in the lyrics of RaimLaode's song "Bersenda Gurau." The associative meanings examined include connotative, stylistic,and affective meanings. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approachthrough listening and note-taking techniques. The research data, in the form of words, phrases,and sentences containing associative meanings, were then analyzed and presented in tables anddescriptions. The results indicate that the song's lyrics utilize connotative meanings to conveysymbols and figurative messages, stylistic meanings to build an aesthetic atmosphere, and affectivemeanings to express affection, empathy, and emotional support. These findings indicate that thelyrics of "Bersenda Gurau" not only convey a direct message but also construct an emotional andaesthetic atmosphere, in accordance with semantic theory and associative meaning. This researchcontributes to understanding the depth of poetic language and emotional expression incontemporary Indonesian song lyrics.

Abstract

Character education in the digital era faces significant challenges due to the rapid advancement of technology, social media, and online learning platforms that influence students’ behavior and moral development. Although digital transformation provides wide access to information and learning resources, it also contributes to issues such as cyberbullying, misinformation, declining digital ethics, and gadget dependency. This study aims to analyze Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s perspective on character education and examine its relevance in addressing the challenges of the digital era. The research employs a library research method in the form of a figure study, utilizing primary sources from Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s original works and secondary sources from relevant scholarly articles and research findings. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis to identify key concepts and their contextual implementation in modern education. The findings reveal that Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s concept of character education, which emphasizes the balanced development of cipta (intellect), rasa (emotion), and karsa (will), as well as the principles of Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madya Mangun Karso, and Tut Wuri Handayani, remains highly relevant. These principles provide a moral foundation for integrating technology into education while maintaining ethical and humanistic values.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize gamis production at Konveksi YMF.id in Bandung Regency to maximize profit. This MSME faces challenges in production effectiveness due to limited resources and fluctuating market demand. The method employed is the simplex linear programming approach, aided by POM-QM software, utilizing a quantitative, exploratory, and descriptive research design. Primary data was collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation, while secondary data was obtained from production records and relevant financial reports. The analysis results indicate that by producing 173 Yumma gamis, 876 Kayla gamis, and 1600 Inara gamis, Konveksi YMF.ID can achieve an optimal profit of Rp 22,266,102. This represents a profit increase of Rp 880,439 or 4.12% from the previous actual profit of Rp 21,385,663. The implementation of this method helps the company avoid common problems like overproduction or underproduction and significantly increases profitability.

Abstract

Pancasila Education in elementary schools still faces challenges in improving students’ understanding of rights and obligations. Observations at SD Negeri 19 Pangkalpinang revealed that students had difficulty distinguishing between rights and obligations because teachers had not used interactive media suitable for the characteristics of elementary school-aged children. Therefore, this study aims to develop a valid, effective, and practical digital comic medium to enhance students’ understanding of rights and obligations at home. This study employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which comprises the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects were 39 third-grade students of SD Negeri 19 Pangkalpinang. Validation was conducted by media and material experts, followed by small-group and large- group trials to determine the practicality and effectiveness of the developed media. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques include analysis of validity, practicality and potential effects. The results showed that the digital comic medium was rated highly valid by media experts (95%) and material experts (92.5%). The N-Gain test results indicated a score of 0.8051 (80%), which falls into the high and effective category. The digital comic medium achieved practicality levels of 92.5% in the small-group trial and 90% in the large-group trial, placing it in the convenient category. Therefore, the digital comic medium is effective and valuable for use in Pancasila Education learning to improve students’ understanding and learning outcomes regarding rights and obligations at home.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges faced by the school/madrasah principal in implementing the Love-Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta/KBC) at MAN 1 OKU Selatan. KBC is an educational approach that places compassion (rahmah) as the primary foundation of the learning process, in alignment with Islamic educational values that emphasize the formation of noble character. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal of MAN 1 OKU Selatan, non-participatory observation, and document analysis. Data analysis used the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014). The findings indicate that KBC implementation at MAN 1 OKU Selatan has proceeded on a solid conceptual foundation, supported by the transformational leadership of the principal. However, four main dimensions of challenges were identified: (1) resistance and uneven understanding among educators regarding the KBC paradigm; (2) limitations in facilities, infrastructure, and funding; (3) the diversity of student backgrounds requiring a differentiated approach; and (4) administrative burdens that diminish time available for pedagogical leadership. This study recommends strengthening teacher professional development programs, optimizing institutional partnership networks, and utilizing information technology in school administrative management.

Abstract

Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning on the topic of plant body parts in elementary schools still faces the problem of low student activity and learning outcomes in Grade IV of SD Negeri Kuta Pasie. This condition is caused by the limited variety of learning media used in the classroom. Therefore, it is necessary to utilize learning media that can increase students’ involvement in the learning process. This study aims to describe students’ learning activities and learning outcomes through the use of concrete media assisted by an e-module. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The subjects of the study were 25 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Kuta Pasie. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and learning outcome tests. The observation of students’ activities included several aspects, namely paying attention, listening, completing tasks and asking questions, and showing enthusiasm in participating in the learning process. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the study indicate that the use of concrete media assisted by an e-module can improve students’ activities in each observed aspect and provide a positive impact on students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, this learning media can be used as an alternative effective learning strategy in IPAS learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Anak berbakat adalah mereka yang didefinisikan oleh orang-orang professional mampu mencapai prestasi yang tinggi karena memiliki kemampuan-kemampuan luar biasa. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggali informasi terkait untuk mengetahui berapa banyak dan apa saja ekstrakurikuler yang ada di MI Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Kota Kediri, untuk mengetahui bakat minat siswa siswi MI Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Kota Kediri, untuk mengetahui kesesuaian bakat minat dan ekstrakurikuler yang diikutinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan jenis kuantitatif. Dalam hal ini, metode yang digunakan adalah Survei Kuesioner, peneliti melakukan survei dengan cara menyebar kuesioner atau angket sebagai instrument penelitian, kuesioner menjadi wadah yang efektif dan efisien untuk mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan penelitian yang kami lakukan, ada 16 ekstrakurikuler yang kami temukan di MI Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Kota Kediri, diantaranya: Drumband, Futsal, Dokter Kecil, Renang, Tahfidz, Mathematic Club, MTQ, Tenis Meja, Paskibraka, Lukis dan Kaligafi, English Club, Badminton, Sains Club, Paduan Suara, Rebana, dan Catur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh simpulan bahwa sebanyak 15% siswa MI Al Irsyad Al islamiyah kota Kediri memiliki bakat yang sesuai dengan minat, sedangkan 85% lainnya tidak memiliki kesesuaian terhadap minat dan bakat yang telah mereka tuliskan pada angket. Selain itu juga ditemukan sejumlah 45% memiliki bakat minat yang sesuai dengan ekstrakurikuler yang diikuti dan 55% memiliki bakat minat akan tetapi tidak sesuai dengan ekstrakurikuler yang diikuti di MI Al Irsyad Al islamiyah Kota Kediri.
