Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model through a student worksheet (LKM) based on the text “Tak Muat Lagi” and to analyze its improvement on fourth-grade students’ listening skills and understanding of transitive–intransitive sentences. Using a mixed-methods approach in a two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 25 students. Data were collected through listening tests, transitive–intransitive sentence tests, observation sheets, student questionnaires, and documentation. The results show an increase in student learning outcomes. In Cycle I, the average score was 72.4 with 64% mastery. After improvements in Cycle II, the average score rose to 86.8 with 92% mastery. Student responses were positive, with 88% finding the learning engaging and easy to understand, and 84% feeling more confident in using transitive and intransitive sentences. Thus, implementing PBL through contextual worksheets effectively improves listening skills and sentence structure mastery.

Abstract

This study examines the application of progressive law in resolving social conflicts between street vendors and the Kupang City Government during enforcement actions in the downtown area. The analysis focuses on the relationship between the hierarchy of legislation—particularly local public order regulations—and unwritten legal sources such as Timorese local wisdom emphasizing deliberation, consensus, and community relations. Using a normative-sociological qualitative approach, the study finds that repressive enforcement reflects a dominance of legalistic approaches, neglecting local values that could strengthen policy legitimacy. Progressive law offers an alternative framework grounded in humanity, social justice, and participatory dialogue. The article argues that harmonizing formal regulations with unwritten norms can produce more humanistic and sustainable enforcement policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the various forms of bullying and the handling practices of teachers at SD 67 Pekanbaru, focusing on teachers’ meanings and experiences in addressing bullying phenomena in elementary school settings. Bullying in primary schools remains a critical issue in education as it directly affects students’ social and emotional development. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, allowing for an in-depth and contextual understanding of the phenomenon. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, involving six classroom teachers selected purposively based on their direct involvement in handling bullying cases. The findings reveal that the most dominant forms of bullying are verbal and social-relational, such as teasing and peer exclusion. Teachers’ strategies in managing bullying focus on educational, dialogical, and empathy-based approaches, emphasizing moral reflection and interpersonal understanding among students. However, challenges remain in identifying non-physical forms of bullying and in the limited institutional support provided by the school. These findings highlight that teachers act as moral and social agents who not only enforce discipline but also foster empathy and a culture of mutual respect within the elementary school environment.
