Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness og the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving mathematics learning outcomes in weight unit measurement material for class III student at SD Negeri Bandungan 01. The main problem in this research is the low student learning outcomes due to the use of lecture methods that are less innovative and do not involve maximum student activity. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design for 18 students. Data was collected throught problem solving tests and analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed a significant increase in the average score, from 46,11 on the pretest to 85,83 on the posttest. Statistically Ha accepted. It was concluded that the application of the PBL model was effective in improving student learning outcomes trought the use of real world problems which made learning more contextual and meaningful.

Abstract

Inclusive education is an effort to provide equal educational services for all learners, including children with special needs (CSN). However, in practice, the implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools still faces various challenges, particularly related to teacher readiness, instructional methods, and support services. This study aims to describe the forms of educational services provided for children with special needs in elementary schools that implement inclusive education. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at UPT SD Negeri 067952 Medan Johor. The research subjects included the principal, special education teachers, homeroom teachers, and three students with special needs categorized as having cerebral palsy, ADHD, and Down syndrome. The results indicate that the school has implemented the principles of inclusive education by integrating children with special needs into regular classrooms and providing fair and non-discriminatory treatment. Teachers make efforts to adjust the delivery of instruction and assessment based on the abilities and developmental progress of each student with special needs. In addition, the school’s social environment is considered conducive due to peer support and parental involvement. Nevertheless, the school still faces obstacles in the form of limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as the absence of a structured individualized education program for children with special needs. Therefore, improving teacher competence and developing specialized service programs are necessary to ensure that the implementation of inclusive education can run more optimally. Abstract

This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. The researcher took a sample of research subjects, namely teachers at SMP Negeri 38 Bandung who had used AI in learning. Research data were obtained through the distribution of Google Form instruments, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was performed using thematic analysis techniques. The conclusions of this study are: 1) teachers' AI adoption strategies, including stages ranging from planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as supporting components and obstacles in the AI adoption process at SMP Negeri 38 Bandung, encompass several principles and stages of classical management theory according to Fayol, Terry, and Deming; 2) The AI used by teachers is in the form of web-based AI applications such as ChatGPT, Quizizz, Canva AI, and others; 3) Factors supporting AI adoption by teachers include environmental factors (internet access and support from colleagues), while the inhibiting factors are teacher competence (digital competence, devices, and training/formal education); 4) Teachers overcome obstacles by learning independently, collaborating, and implementing rules for AI use; and 5) The impact of AI adoption includes increased student motivation and learning outcomes as well as creativity in learning methods. It is hoped that this research will contribute relevant insights to the development of policies on teacher competency development, particularly in the field of teaching.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the tendency of writing instruction at the junior high school level to focus mainly on formal linguistic aspects, such as sentence structure and language errors, while paying less attention to the cognitive meaning and students’ personal experiences reflected in their texts. In fact, recount texts, as experience-based texts, are closely related to thinking processes, emotions, and the social background of the writer. This study aims to describe text structure, mental models, cognitive schemas, and social cognition represented in recount texts written by ninth-grade junior high school students on the theme of “Holiday Experiences” using Teun A. van Dijk’s cognitive discourse analysis approach. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. The data consisted of five recount texts written by ninth-grade junior high school students. Data were collected through documentation techniques, while data analysis was conducted using cognitive discourse analysis, which includes the analysis of macrostructure, superstructure, microstructure, mental models, cognitive schemas, and social cognition based on van Dijk’s theory. The results show that all texts contain macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure that are consistent with the characteristics of recount texts. Differences in holiday experiences influence the global meaning of the texts, language choices, and the reorientation expressed by the students. Texts describing recreational experiences tend to present positive emotional vocabulary and longer narratives, whereas texts describing routine activities display negative emotions and complaint-oriented reorientations. This study concludes that cognitive discourse analysis is effective for understanding the relationship between language, experience, and students’ cognition in writing instruction.

Abstract

The low level of reading literacy among elementary school students in Sungai Terap Village is a significant issue that requires serious attention. Limited reading interest, inadequate literacy facilities, and lack of innovative learning methods are the main contributing factors. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve students’ reading literacy through the utilization of school reading corners using a play-based learning method. This approach was chosen to create a fun, interactive, and child-friendly learning environment. The program was implemented through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages involving active participation from teachers and students. The results indicate an increase in students’ reading interest, active engagement, and reading comprehension skills. Therefore, the play-based reading corner approach is proven effective in enhancing reading literacy among students in Sungai Terap Village and can serve as a sustainable literacy development model in schools.

Abstract

Local wisdom refers to social norms, values, and practices that develop and flourish in the daily lives of the adat community and support strategic efforts to improve the socio-economic 1conditions of households. This study is based on the fact that the community in the vicinity of Gunung Timau, Amfoang Tengah District, Kupang Regency, still adheres to local customs despite the increasing pace of modernization and construction. The purpose of this study is to examine various forms of local wisdom and analyze their contribution to improving the socioeconomic conditions of households in Amfoang Tengah. The methodology used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques such as literary studies and structured research. The data analysis process is based on the interactive Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data analysis, and systematic conclusions. The study's findings indicate that local wisdom practices, such as customary forest management, water power conservation, and a culture of mutual assistance, are crucial in strengthening social solidarity and increasing the economic strength of local households. Because of this, local wisdom must receive attention and be integrated into formal education and construction policies in order to support future rural development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership management of the school principal in developing educational facilities and infrastructure to improve the quality of education at SDN Pogar III Bangil. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, direct observations of school facilities, and documentation analysis of school planning records. The findings indicate that the principal effectively performed managerial functions through participatory planning, systematic organization, gradual implementation of facility development, and continuous supervision. The improvement of educational facilities positively influenced learning comfort, student motivation, and the quality of the teaching and learning process. The main challenges encountered were limited funding and teachers’ technological competencies, which were addressed through collaboration with the school committee and internal training programs. The study concludes that effective principal leadership in managing school facilities and infrastructure plays a significant role in enhancing educational quality at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Kurikulum memiliki peran strategis sebagai instrumen pembentukan karakter dan peradaban, khususnya pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi landasan filosofis, psikologis, sosiologis, dan kultural dalam implementasi kurikulum sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa di SD 16 Liangeng, Kabupaten Soppeng. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi kelas, analisis dokumen pembelajaran, diskusi kelompok siswa, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran telah mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Pancasila, pendekatan pembelajaran aktif, serta konteks kehidupan nyata peserta didik. Namun demikian, integrasi muatan lokal dan budaya belum dilakukan secara sistematis dalam seluruh perangkat pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan integrasi landasan kurikulum secara holistik diperlukan agar kurikulum berfungsi optimal sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter dan peradaban peserta didik sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Apakah trobosan yang pemerintah cetuskan itu dapat memaksimal kan sebuah pemanfaatan, menaikan nilai kualitas dari sumber daya manusia yang ada di indonesia. Pemerintah membuat sebuah program pendidikan profesi guru yang dimana di buat nya untuk menaikan nilai atau value dari sebuah guru agar lebih profesional agar membantu menjadi tujuan pemerintah menuju indonesia emas 2045. Maksud dari penelitian ini berupaya mencari tahu strategi pengembangan profesionalisme tenaga pendidik melalui program pendidikan profesi guru atau ppg. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu 1. Mahasiswa yang melanjutkan program ppg 2. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang lanjut program ppg tersebut lebih dapat mengendalikan kelas, mendamping proses peserta didik, memberikan materi sesuai dengan tingkat perkembangan.

Abstract

Social Studies learning in elementary schools plays an important role in shaping students’ knowledge, social skills, and character from an early age. However, in practice, various challenges are still encountered that contribute to low student interest and learning outcomes, such as the dominance of lecture-based teaching methods, the lack of engaging learning media, and limited innovation in instructional strategies. This study aims to examine innovative learning strategies that can be applied in Social Studies instruction to enhance elementary students’ interest in learning. The method employed is a qualitative approach using a literature review, conducted through an analysis of various relevant journals and scientific articles. The findings indicate that the implementation of innovative strategies such as the Joyful Learning model, Team Quiz, the use of visual media, digital interactive media, learning applications such as Canva, and outdoor study methods can create a more engaging, participatory, and meaningful learning environment. These strategies have been shown to be effective in increasing students’ learning interest, active participation, as well as their critical and social thinking skills. The challenges faced by teachers in implementing these strategies include limited understanding of innovative models, limited availability of learning media, and time management constraints. Therefore, continuous teacher training and support from schools are necessary to ensure that innovative learning strategies can be optimally implemented in Social Studies learning at the elementary school level.
