Abstract

This study examines the role of the Koyeidaba Myth in shaping the worldview of the Mee Tribe in Papua. The Koyeidaba Myth is a messianic narrative transmitted orally and regarded as a source of moral values, social ethics, and the concept of salvation for the Mee people. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving tribal elders, religious leaders, and local residents in Topo Village, Nabire. The findings reveal that the Koyeidaba Myth significantly influences the Mee people's understanding of life, particularly regarding the values of abundance (mobu), safety (aji), respect for nature, and adherence to moral principles such as prohibitions against killing, stealing, lying, jealousy, and adultery. The myth also serves as a conceptual bridge between traditional Mee beliefs and Christianity. However, the study found a generational shift in which younger Mee individuals no longer know the story in full, although they still practice its underlying values. This research concludes that the Koyeidaba Myth is a fundamental structure that maintains the identity, morality, and worldview of the Mee community

Abstract

This study, entitled The Effect of Guided Inquiry Learning Model on Students’ Learning Outcomes on the Human Respiratory System Material for Grade V Students of SD Inpres Kuanino 3, aims to analyze whether there is an effect of the guided inquiry learning model and the problem-based learning model on students’ learning outcomes in the human respiratory system material, as well as to examine whether there are differences in learning outcomes between students taught using the guided inquiry model and those taught using the problem-based learning model. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a non-equivalent group design. The population and sample of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students of SD Inpres Kuanino 3, totaling 40 students. The data collection techniques used were documentation and tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the Paired Sample t-Test with the assistance of SPSS version 27 for Windows. The results of the study indicate that there were significant differences in students’ learning outcomes before and after the implementation of both learning models. In the guided inquiry learning model, the students’ average score increased from 38.25 on the pre-test to 83.25 on the post-test, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a highly significant improvement in learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the problem-based learning model also improved students’ learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 33.5 to 69.25, although the improvement was lower than that of the guided inquiry model. The comparison between the two models shows that the guided inquiry learning model is more effective than the problem-based learning model in improving students’ learning outcomes on the human respiratory system material.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental element in shaping ethical behavior and discipline among elementary school students. However, in practice, various problems indicate the weak internalization of character values in students’ daily behavior. This article aims to analyze the condition of students’ ethics and discipline in elementary schools and to examine the factors contributing to the fragility of character education in learning practices. This study employs a qualitative approach with an analytical-reflective design. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with several elementary school teachers, documentation analysis, and a review of relevant literature. The findings reveal that the decline in students’ ethics and discipline is influenced by several factors, including changes in the social environment, limited parental involvement in character development, and the challenges of uncontrolled digital technology use. Although various character education efforts have been implemented by teachers and schools, these initiatives tend to produce only temporary effects and have not been sustained. This condition reflects the fragility of character education in elementary schools, highlighting the need for stronger and continuous collaboration among schools, families, and the broader social environment.

Abstract

Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS) is an innovative Islamic financial instrument that integrates cash waqf with state fiscal financing through sukuk issuance. This instrument has significant potential to support social financing and sustainable development. However, the optimization of CWLS still faces various challenges, particularly related to tax regulatory aspects. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of tax incentives in the implementation of CWLS in Indonesia. The research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and conceptual approaches, supported by a literature review of national journals and academic books published within the last five years. The findings indicate that cash waqf under the CWLS scheme has the potential to be treated as a deductible item from taxable income for waqif, while the sukuk returns allocated for social purposes require clearer tax treatment for nazhir. The main challenges identified include the absence of explicit technical tax regulations and the limited tax administrative capacity of nazhir institutions. This study recommends regulatory harmonization between waqf and taxation laws and the formulation of supportive fiscal policies to enhance the role of CWLS as an integrated Islamic social finance instrument in Indonesia.

Abstract

Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPA) is one of the nonformal Islamic educational institutions that has grown and developed extensively within Indonesian society, particularly in responding to the need for basic religious instruction outside the formal education system. The existence of TPA is not merely limited to providing Qur’anic literacy, but also plays a strategic role in shaping students’ religious character from an early age. Nevertheless, the position of TPA within the nonformal Islamic education system is often understood in a fragmented manner and has not been examined comprehensively within the framework of the national education system. This study aims to analyze and clarify the position of TPA within the structure of nonformal Islamic education in Indonesia, focusing on its functions, roles, and contributions to strengthening Islamic education at the community level. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research, involving a critical analysis of educational regulations, academic literature, and relevant documents related to nonformal Islamic education. The findings indicate that TPA occupies a strategic position as a community-based nonformal Islamic educational institution that complements and reinforces Islamic religious education provided by schools and families. Furthermore, TPA serves as a medium for transmitting Islamic values that are contextual and responsive to social needs, thereby affirming its relevance and significance within the system of nonformal Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article examines the urgency of synergy among education, culture, and the social environment as a conceptual framework for shaping students’ character in the era of globalization, with the aim of analyzing the roles and integration of these three elements in strengthening character development that is contextual, sustainable, and aligned with societal dynamics. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, with data collected from various relevant sources, including books, scholarly journals, articles, and official documents related to the research theme. The collected data are analyzed systematically through stages of data collection, classification, and information processing, followed by drawing conclusions and data verification to obtain valid and in-depth findings. The results indicate that effective integration of education, culture, and the social environment plays a crucial role in shaping students’ character that is not solely oriented toward cognitive aspects, but also fosters moral values, cultural identity, social awareness, and environmental consciousness. Such synergy promotes a more contextual and applicable process of value internalization, enabling students to respond critically to global challenges without losing their grounding in local values and surrounding social realities.

Abstract

Sufism is an essential dimension of Islam that emphasizes spiritual development through dhikr, self-discipline, and the purification of the soul. Within the context of urban Indonesian society, Sufi practices have undergone significant transformation due to modernization, urbanization, and the dynamics of urban culture. Music (samāʿ) and dhikr have emerged as central media in spiritual experiences while simultaneously shaping the religious identity of urban Muslims that is moderate, reflective, and contextually grounded. This study aims to analyze the transformation of urban Sufism in Indonesia, particularly the role of music and dhikr in shaping the spiritual identity of twenty-first-century Muslims. The research employs a library research method by examining scholarly literature, including books, journal articles, undergraduate theses, master’s theses, and dissertations addressing Sufism, spiritual music, dhikr, and religious identity within urban contexts. The data are analyzed thematically to illustrate changes in Sufi practices and the role of music and dhikr in spiritual experience and identity formation among urban Muslims. The findings indicate that urban Sufism has evolved into a more open, inclusive, and communicative practice. Music and dhikr function as contemplative and psychospiritual media that help participants manage stress and anxiety while enhancing inner tranquility. The integration of music and dhikr also contributes to the formation of urban Muslim spiritual identity, strengthens social solidarity, and creates a balance between worldly engagement and inner spirituality. Despite criticism from puritan groups, urban Sufism demonstrates resilience through cultural and educational approaches that remain relevant to modern and digital life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of cooperative script learning models in lectures Theory &amp; Practice of Listening Learning as an effort to improve student achievement, activities, and speaking skills. Listening skills are one of the important language skills to be mastered by students, so appropriate strategies or learning models are needed in their application. The research method used in this study is an experimental research method with a pretest-posttest control group design research design. The population in this research were students programme of study in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education&nbsp; FKIP Unpas. The sample in this study was the first semester students Programme of Study in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education FKIP Unpas. Based on the results of data processing using the SPSS 25 application, the value of sig is obtained. (2-tailed) of 0,000 &lt;0.05. This shows that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Therefore, it can be interpreted that the learning outcomes, activities, and speaking skills of semester I students programme of study in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education FKIP Unpas increased in lectures on Theory and Practice of Listening Learning using Cooperative Script learning models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) pada peserta didik kelas V di SD Negeri Barusari 02 Semarang. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan diskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Barusari 02 Semarang dengan subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, guru kelas V, dan peserta didik kelas V. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas V di SD Negeri Barusari 02 Semarang telah melaksanakan program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) khususnya pada 5 nilai karakter yaitu religius, nasionalis, mandiri, gotong royong dan integritas dengan baik. Nilai – nilai karakter tersebut dilaksanakan pada saat pembelajaran maupun diluar pembelajaran yang dibuktikan dengan menjalankan ajaran agama yang dianut, menjaga kerukunan, menghargai perbedaan, pembiasaan yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik setiap pagi, mengikuti upacara dengan hikmat, mengenal budaya Indonesia, mengerjakan tugas secara mandiri, piket kelas, diskusi kelompok, bersikap jujur dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

The use of digital media in fourth-grade elementary school IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning is a 21st-century educational damand aimed at increasing student engagement and developing critical thinking skills. This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges faced by elementary school teachers in implementing digital media in IPAS learning. The method employed was a literature review of five scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025. Data analysis was conducted through stages of data reduction, categorization, and thematic interpretation. The results indicate that digital media such as interactive videos, augmented reality, and digital learning platforms can enhance students’ conceptual understanding and learning outcomes. However, teachers still encounter various challenges, including limited facilities and infrastructure, low levels of teachers’ digital competence, difficulties in classroom management, and the potential for student distraction during the use of digital media. Therefore, improving teachers’ competencies, providing adequate facilities, and implementing well-planned instructional strategies are necessary to ensure that the integration of digital media in IPAS learning can be carried out effectively and optimally.
