Abstract

The development of science and technology (IPTEK) in the modern era has had a significant impact on human life, both positive and negative. The advancement of IPTEK is often accompanied by moral decline, spiritual crisis, and environmental damage. This article aims to analyze the Islamic Life Guidelines for Muhammadiyah Members (PHIWM) as a normative and ethical framework in responding to the development of IPTEK and environmental management. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with a literature study method from official Muhammadiyah documents, the Qur'an, hadith, and relevant scientific literature. The results show that PHIWM positions IPTEK as a strategic tool for community welfare that must be developed responsibly, based on faith and morals. In addition, environmental management is seen as a theological mandate that demands a conservative, just, and sustainable attitude. Thus, PHIWM plays a crucial role in building integration between the advancement of IPTEK, individual piety, and environmental sustainability towards the realization of a truly Islamic society.

Abstract

Hedung Dance is a traditional dance of the Lamaholot people in Adonara Island, East Nusa Tenggara, which holds historical, philosophical, and spiritual values. This study aims to explore the symbolic meaning, cultural values, and social functions of the Hedung Dance within the Adonara community. This research adopts a literature review method by analyzing books, academic journals, cultural articles, and local documents. The findings show that Hedung Dance is not merely a form of entertainment but also serves as a medium of spiritual communication, a symbol of unity, and a representation of bravery. The dance elementsmovements, music, costumes, and formations reflect a harmonious relationship between humans, nature, and ancestors. Thus, preserving this dance is essential to maintaining local cultural identity in the face of globalization.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is a learning model that positions students as the main subjects in the learning process through the completion of contextual, collaborative, and meaningful projects. This model is believed to be effective in developing higher-order thinking skills while simultaneously fostering students’ character development. However, the implementation of PjBL in elementary schools is often not supported by a comprehensive evaluation system, particularly in measuring students’ character formation. This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the project-based learning evaluation model in shaping the character of elementary school students at SDN 40/I Bajubang Laut. This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The research subjects included teachers and students at SDN 40/I Bajubang Laut who implemented project-based learning. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing by applying source and technique triangulation. The results show that the PjBL evaluation model was implemented systematically through four main components, namely process evaluation, product evaluation, attitude (character) evaluation, and learning reflection. The character values developed among students include responsibility, cooperation, discipline, honesty, independence, and creativity. This evaluation model provides a comprehensive overview of students’ character development and supports the implementation of authentic assessment in elementary schools

Abstract

Final-year students often face high academic pressure, placing them at greater riskof experiencing anxiety. At the same time, consumption has become a commonhabit to enhance focus and energy during the process of completing a thesis orfinal project. This study aimed to examine the relationship between anxiety levelsand caffeine consumption among final-year university students. The studyemployed a quantitative method with a correlational design and involved 214students as participants. The instruments used were the Caffeine ConsumptionQuestionnaire–Revised (CCQ-R) and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory Form Y-8(STAI-Y-8). The results indicated a significant positive relationship between anxietylevels and caffeine consumption among final-year students. This was evidencedby a Spearman correlation coefficient of r = 0.407 with p = 0.000, indicating thathigher levels of anxiety are associated with higher levels of caffeine consumption.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the improvement of learning outcomes of grade VI students of SD Negeri Sarirejo with a total of 25 students. The research method used is classroom action research. The research stage consists of: planning, action, supervision, reflection. Data collection methods of interviews, observations, tests and documentation. Data collection instruments in the form of observations, tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques are qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The results showed that the learning outcomes of grade VI students of SD Negeri Sarirejo with an increase of 26% from cycles I and II. The results of the First Cycle Analysis showed that 62% of student learning outcomes experienced a significant increase in the second cycle of 88% in the good category. So the use of NHT using crank game media can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership profile of the principal and evaluate the five competencies required by the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 6 of 2018. This study was conducted at SD Athahiriyah Yapis Wamena, an elementary school located in an urban area. The research subjects consisted of several parties who have important roles in the leadership and management process of the school, namely the principal, two senior teachers, and School Program documentation. Data collection techniques in this study combined a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, direct observation, questionnaires, and documentation studies. Based on the results of observation and analysis, the principal at SD Athahiriyah Yapis Wamena demonstrates leadership based on collaboration and open communication. This leadership style is effective in building a school culture that supports innovation and teacher development. Although the principal demonstrates good competency in academic supervision, exemplary behavior, and open communication, there are shortcomings in rule enforcement and discipline management that need to be improved. The implemented innovation programs, such as literacy and digitalization, have had a positive impact on the quality of education, but need to be strengthened to ensure their sustainability. Furthermore, spiritual values ​​such as the Dhuha prayer have been implemented, but their implementation still needs to be expanded across all aspects of the school.

Abstract

This study discusses the meaning and values contained in the Ore Ana tradition of Puhu Village, East Adonara District, East Flores Regency. The Ore Ana tradition is a cultural heritage of the Lamaholot community, reflecting deep philosophical, religious, and spiritual meanings. The purpose of this research is to describe the meanings expressed in the ritual speeches and to explore the cultural and moral values they embody. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant scholarly sources and previous studies on Lamaholot culture and the Ore Ana tradition. The findings reveal that the speeches in Ore Ana contain religious, spiritual, and petition meanings, as well as cultural and religious values that reflect the close relationship between humans, ancestors, and God. The Ore Ana tradition serves as a medium for preserving cultural identity and transmitting moral education for the younger generation of Lamaholot society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s leadership practices in the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at SDN 16 Liangeng, identify the challenges and opportunities of its implementation, and formulate strategies to strengthen a collaborative and participatory culture in improving the quality of primary education. A qualitative approach was employed through interviews, observations, document analysis, and focus group discussions involving the principal, teachers, school committee members, students, and Master’s students in Primary Education as field observers. The findings indicate that the principal has demonstrated transformational leadership practices through openness to ideas, work motivation, and support for instructional innovation, while teacher participation is relatively active but the involvement of school committees and students remains limited in strategic decision-making. Administrative transparency and accountability have been adequately implemented; however, the dissemination of information to all school stakeholders has not been optimal. The main challenges include limited time, administrative workload, and the lack of a strong participatory culture, whereas development opportunities arise from positive working relationships, community support, and leadership openness to innovation, leading to recommendations to strengthen communication systems, expand stakeholder involvement, and foster a sustainable collaborative culture.

Abstract

Penanaman Nilai-Nilai Pancasila pada Peserta Didik Kelas I Sekolah Dasar merupakan fondasi penting pembentukan karakter, namun pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi beragam hambatan di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk tantangan yang dialami guru dalam menginternalisasikan nilai Pancasila kepada siswa kelas I, menelaah faktor-faktor penyebabnya, serta menyusun rekomendasi strategis untuk penguatan pendidikan nilai. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis deskriptif, dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Karanganyar dengan responden guru dan siswa kelas I. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang disusun menggunakan skala penilaian terhadap beberapa indikator, yaitu sikap religius, toleransi dan gotong royong, disiplin dan tanggung jawab, serta kesantunan dalam interaksi sehari-hari. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan persentase dan skor rata-rata untuk menggambarkan kecenderungan setiap indikator. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa indikator sikap religius berada pada kategori lemah, sedangkan sikap toleransi dan gotong royong, disiplin dan tanggung jawab, serta kesopanan siswa tergolong kuat hingga cukup kuat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang sosial dan budaya keluarga serta lingkungan sekitar sangat memengaruhi keberhasilan guru dalam menanamkan nilai Pancasila, terutama pada aspek religiusitas. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kerja sama yang sinergis antara guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat, disertai pengembangan variasi metode dan media pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan menarik untuk memperkuat internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Pancasila pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Social Studies (IPS) is a subject that plays an important role in developing elementary school students’ knowledge, attitudes, and social skills so that they are able to understand social realities and actively participate in social life. However, Social Studies learning still frequently encounters problems related to the limited use of diverse and contextual learning resources and teaching materials, causing learning activities to rely heavily on textbooks and to be less connected to students’ real-life experiences. This study aims to examine learning resources and teaching materials in elementary Social Studies learning, including their definitions, types, utilization, and the differences between learning resources and teaching materials in supporting the learning process. The method employed is a literature review by analyzing various relevant books and journal articles. The findings indicate that the use of diverse learning resources and systematically developed, contextual teaching materials can improve the quality of Social Studies learning, making it more effective and meaningful. Therefore, optimizing learning resources and developing teaching materials that align with students’ characteristics are essential to enhancing the quality of SocialStudies learning in elementary schools.
