Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan pada temuan di kelas III SD, guru dalam mengajar masih secara konvensional yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik Kelas III SD dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Jenis penilitian ini ialah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Terdapat 4 tahapan disetiap siklusnya yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refeksi. Hasil penelitian ini peserta didik yang hasil belajar kognitif mencapai KKM atau tuntas pada prasiklus berjumlah 12 atau 40% ketuntasan klasikalnya, pada siklus I berjumlah 20 atau 67%, dan pada siklus II 23 atau 77%. Berdasarkan data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas III SD. Abstract

Learning motivation is a crucial factor influencing the success of the learning process. Students with high motivation tend to demonstrate persistence, active participation, and optimal learning outcomes. This paper aims to examine the concept of motivation in education, including the definition of learning motivation, motivational theories, types of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, functions of motivation, and its role in the learning process. This study employs a literature review by analyzing theories from experts in psychology and education. The findings indicate that motivation functions as a driving force, a direction setter, and a reinforcement of students’ learning behavior. Teachers play a strategic role in fostering learning motivation by creating a supportive learning environment and applying appropriate instructional strategies.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the challenges in managing the School Operational Curriculum (KOS) within the Independent Curriculum framework, which sometimes only reaches the administrative level without in-depth reflection at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the KOS document, analyze the implementation of differentiation and integration of the Pancasila Student Profile, and examine the curriculum evaluation mechanism at SDN 92 Burrung. The method used was descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, document studies, and questionnaires with the principal and teachers. The results showed that the KOS document was up-to-date, but the implementation of differentiated learning still needed strengthening in terms of products and processes, while the integration of P5 was running according to plan. These findings demonstrate the importance of regular internal audits to maintain the quality of curriculum management. The novelty of this study is the contextual curriculum audit approach in rural elementary schools that combines direct observation with teacher reflection. This study provides recommendations for curriculum improvement based on field data for elementary education practitioners.

Abstract

Learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in elementary schools requires active student involvement to achieve meaningful understanding of concepts. However, based on preliminary observations, the IPAS learning process in grade IV of SD Negeri Ciwangi was still dominated by teacher-centered methods, resulting in less optimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to improve students’ IPAS learning outcomes through the implementation of the inquiry method in grade IV of SD Negeri Ciwangi. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Ciwangi. Data were collected through observation, learning achievement tests, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the inquiry method increased students’ activeness and learning outcomes. This improvement was indicated by the increase in the average learning scores and the percentage of students achieving mastery learning in each cycle. Therefore, the inquiry method is effective in improving IPAS learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Ciwangi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of academic supervision that tends to be merely procedural and its impact on teachers’ professionalism in sustaining the quality of learning in elementary schools. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using an interactive analysis model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that academic supervision has been conducted in a scheduled and administrative manner but has not fully functioned as a continuous professional development process. Teachers tend to demonstrate more structured and varied teaching practices during supervision sessions but revert to minimal instructional practices in daily teaching. This indicates that learning quality is still influenced by external control rather than driven by teachers’ internal professional awareness. The lack of reflective dialogue and follow-up actions also hinders the development of a sustainable culture of instructional improvement. The study highlights the importance of collaborative, reflective, and continuous academic supervision in fostering teacher professionalism and maintaining consistent learning quality

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of the transformative education paradigm in building progressive elementary schools. Elementary education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character, critical thinking, and social awareness. However, learning practices in many schools are still teacher-centered and focused mainly on cognitive achievement. This study aims to analyze learning practices at SDN 151 Inpres Kalampa, Takalar Regency, from the perspective of transformative education. The research employed a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques involving school principals, teachers, and students. The results indicate that learning practices have begun to shift toward more participatory and contextual approaches, although they are still at an early stage. Teachers have started to integrate project-based learning, environmental contexts, and character values, but challenges remain in terms of conceptual understanding, time constraints, and collaborative culture. The study concludes that transformative education has strong potential to foster progressive elementary schools through strengthening teacher capacity, contextual project-based learning, and democratic school culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of transformative education through research- and project-based learning in elementary school. The background of this study is the dominance of teacher-centered learning practices that limit students’ critical thinking, creativity, and social awareness. This research was conducted at SDN 151 Inpres Kalampa, Takalar Regency, using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. The results show that transformative learning practices have begun to develop through contextual learning activities, group discussions, and simple projects related to students’ real-life environments. However, several challenges were identified, including limited teacher understanding of transformative education concepts, time constraints, and the persistence of conventional learning culture. Despite these challenges, the school has strong potential to develop into a progressive elementary school supported by a conducive learning environment, positive teacher–student relationships, and strong religious and national values. This study concludes that transformative education is relevant and applicable in elementary schools and requires systematic teacher capacity building and collaborative school culture to ensure sustainability.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental aspect of the implementation of basic education, particularly in addressing the challenges of globalization and modernization that have led to shifts in students’ moral values. This article aims to examine in depth the concept of ethnopedagogy as an educational approach based on Sundanese local wisdom within the context of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review method of various relevant scholarly articles published between 2016 and 2025. The findings indicate that Sundanese local wisdom values—such as cageur (healthy), bageur (kind), bener (righteous), singer (active), and pinter (intelligent)—have strong relevance to the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. The integration of these values through traditional games, communal traditions, and storytelling media has been shown to strengthen students’ character in a contextual and sustainable manner. Therefore, ethnopedagogy based on Sundanese local wisdom can be considered an alternative strategy for strengthening character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Dengan adanya penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keinginan untuk mengetahui gaya belajar siswa. Perbedaan keunikan menjadi penyebab perbedaan masing-masing siswa. Faktor yang mempengaruhi perbedaan tersebut ialah lingkungan serta dominasi otak sehingga membentuk gaya belajar yang cenderung ke penglihatan ,pendengaran, atau gerak tubuh. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif . penelitian ini menggunakan subjek semua siswa kelas IV SDN Tambakrejo 01 yang berjumlah 27 siswa . Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi dan angket . Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa kelas IV memeiliki gaya belajar yang beragam . terbukti bahwa gaya belajar siswa kelas IV memiliki 33% Visual, 30% auditori , dan 37% kinestetik. Perbedaan ini yang menjadi tantangan guru untuk menerapkan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi . pembelajaran berdiferensiasi bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi siswa agar terpenuhinya kebutuhan belajarnya Kata Kunci : gaya belajar,diferensiasi,visual,auditori,dan kinestetik

Abstract

The study activities of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in several elementary schools still face some challenges related to the limited learning media used, resulting in students' understanding of the material not being optimal. Based on this situation, there is a need to develop more innovative, engaging, easy-to-use media that aligns with the characteristics of elementary school students. The aim of this research is to design and develop a digital Booklet media by utilizing the Canva application as a supportive tool for IPAS learning for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Kampung Baroh, as well as to determine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students' learning outcomes. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research results showed that content expert validation received a score of 100% (highly suitable), media expert 92% (highly suitable), and language expert 94% (highly suitable). The practicality test showed that teachers scored 100% and students 90.74% (very practical). The effectiveness test, through a comparison of pretest and posttest, showed an average N-gain score of 0.74, categorized as high. Thus, the digital Booklet assisted by the Canva application is declared feasible, practical, and effective to implement in IPAS learning. Based on these research results, it is suggested that the digital Booklet assisted by the Canva application can be utilized more widely in the learning process, not limited to IPAS learning, but also developed for other subjects at the elementary school level.
