Abstract

Variations in the use of various mathematical learning models are expected to provide an overview of the ability of students to understand mathematical concepts. This study aimed to determine the variation of students' mathematics learning outcomes by using the make a match learning model, the scramble learning model, and the Conventional learning model. Using the quasi-experimental method, the make a match and scramble learning model was applied as the independent variable and the conventional learning model as the control variable. Statistically, the F test was used to show that there was a difference in the mean with the value of Fcount = 4.22 > Ftable = 3.18, and Tukey's HSD analysis showed a value of 14.18 and compared to the group mean, it was concluded that the use of the make a match learning model gave the better learning result value between scramble and conventional learning models

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes of atomic structure concepts in class X Senior High School PGRI 2 Kairatu after applying the make a match type cooperative learning model. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The sample in this study were students of class X MIA with a total of 25 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using test and non-test techniques. Based on the results of the study, it showed that 24 students (96%) reached the KKM and 1 student (5%) was in incomplete qualification. The increase in student learning outcomes is obtained from an average N-gain of 0.75 in the high category. From the research results, it can be concluded that the make a match type of cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students in class X Senior High School PGRI 2 Kairatu

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of mathematical ability of prospective mathematics teacher students in solving SBMPTN math problems. This research was conducted at the Pattimura University Mathematics Education Study Program, Ambon. The subjects in this study were 19 prospective mathematics teacher students in the 3rd semester of 2017. The instrument used in this study was the Mathematical Ability Test (TKM) to classify the level of the mathematical knowledge of the research subjects with the following steps: 1) preparing instruments; 2) determining research subjects 3) carrying out research 4) performing data analysis of data collection; 5) formulate research results and discussion. The readability test results stated that the instrument was suitable for use in research. The empirical validity results show that it is 70% valid and has high reliability. The results showed that: 1) 5.26% of student math teacher candidates had a high level of math skills, 2) 10.53% of student teacher candidates had moderate math ability levels, and 3) 81.21% of student math teacher candidates had low math ability levels

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problem solving ability of UMT students in solving the first degree differential equations worksheet with the factorization method. This research is included in the category of qualitative research with a descriptive category. The research subjects were 20 fourth semester students for the 2021/2022 academic year. Data collection methods used are test techniques, filling out structured student worksheets and filling out questionnaires. The test is carried out by filling out the initial test. Filling out structured student worksheets consisting of material, examples and practice questions. Based on the initial test data, filling in the worksheets and questionnaires, the criteria for the three types of students were obtained. Type 1 students fill out 1-2 initial test questions, fill in the material incompletely, the sample questions are only done one question out of the two questions provided with unsystematic problem solving analysis and the last part of the practice questions is not filled in. Type 2 students fill out 2-3 questions for the initial test, complete the material, two examples of questions are done, the practice questions are filled with one question. Type 3 students work on 4 pre-test questions, complete structured student worksheets for each material, sample questions and practice questions. The student fills out a worksheet with a systematic problem-solving analysis

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of student learning outcomes using the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) Cooperative Learning Model and the Think Pair Share (TPS) Cooperative Learning Model on quadrilateral material in grade VII Christian Middle School Kusu-Kusu Sereh Ambon. The type of research used is experimental research (Experimental Research) with a Post Test Group Design research design. In this study, the population used was all students of class VII Kusu-Kusu Christian Middle School, Sereh Ambon, which consisted of 2 classes with a total of 40 students, selected using the Total Sampling technique. The instrument used in the study was in the form of test questions consisting of 5 description questions for the final test. The study made experimental class students one and experimental class two students using the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) Cooperative Learning Model and Think Pair Share (TPS) Cooperative Learning Model on rectangular material. Based on the statistical analysis of the t-test, the value of Sig.(2-tailed) 0.124 is greater than = 0.05, so there is no significant difference between the two models. Furthermore, the Mean value in the Group Statistics table shows that the Mean value of Student Facilitator and Explaining is 65.92 and the Mean value of Think Pair Share is 57.77. These results can be proven that the superior learning model is the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) Cooperative Learning Model

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in mastery of the material on the parabolic motion material for class X MA Negeri 1 Central Maluku which is taught using Algodoo media in the discovery learning model. This type of research is a descriptive study with a one group pretest-posttest research design, with 17 students as research samples obtained using the Random Sampling technique. The research data was collected through a written test and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the initial ability of students was in the failed qualification with an average value of 8.0, while the average score of the achievement of the final ability of students was 86.4 which was in good qualification. This is evidenced by the results of the N-gain test which shows the average value <g> students by 0.9 in high qualifications. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' mastery of the material after being taught using the Algodoo learning media in the discovery learning model on the parabolic motion material for class X MA Negeri 1 Central Maluku

Abstract

The research aims to determine the improvement of mastery of dynamic fluid material by using a research-based learning model for students, class XI IPA-2 SMA Kristen 1 Amahai. This type of research is a descriptive study with a one-group pretest-postest research design, in 19 students as a research sample obtained using the Purposive Sampling technique. The data of this study were collected using test and non-test instruments (LKPD) and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that in the initial test 100% of students were in a failed qualification with an average score of 11.00. The results of the analysis of cognitive abilities of students during the learning process showed that the average score of students was 88.4 with good qualifications and the average score of the final test achievement of students was 81.5 which was in good qualifications. The average result of the N-gain test of learners was 0.79 at high qualifications. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in mastery of the material after students are taught using a research-based learning model

Abstract

One of the main goals of education is to develop potential and to educate individuals. Education is an effort to help the souls of students both physically and mentally towards a better human civilization. This research was conducted to group districts/cities in Maluku province based on educational status using hierarchical cluster analysis with the single linkage, average linkage and ward's methods. The results showed that clustering using the single linkage and average linkage methods was almost the same, while clustering using the ward's method had quite different results. Clustering using the single linkage and average linkage methods shows that Ambon city is the only city that always has its own cluster and does not join other districts/cities. This shows that the city of Ambon has an education status that is quite different from other districts/cities in Maluku Province. Regencies/cities that are always in the same cluster, namely cluster 1, both in the single linkage method, average linkage and the ward's method are Tanimbar Islands Regency, Southeast Maluku Regency, Central Maluku Regency and Tual City
