Abstract

Declines in well performance in mature fields are often caused by complex interactions between fluid conditions and the performance of artificial lift systems. This study aims to analyze the performance of Well APT-017 in the Sangatta Field using Sonolog and Dynagraph data through the SODYNA integration approach. The data used includes production data, fluid level measurements, and pump cards from field testing. The analysis results show that production decreased from 18–20 BOPD to 10–12 BOPD. Sonolog indicates that the fluid level is at a depth of 967.31 ft with gas-cut fluid conditions, while Dynagraph indicates gas interference, low pump fillage, and signs of valve leakage. The integrated results of both methods show that fluid is present, but its quality does not support optimal pump performance. This study recommends optimizing the pumping system and gas control to improve well production efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the production line balance to minimize bottlenecks and waiting times in the cardboard packaging production process at PT. XYZ. The initial production line, consisting of 5 workstations, exhibited low efficiency, with a line efficiency of 40.84%, a balance delay of 59.16%, and a smoothness index of 13.189. The approach used to address this workload imbalance issue is the Ranked Positional Weight (RPW) method. The analysis results recommend a structural change by consolidating work elements into 3 integrated workstations. This proposed improvement yields a significant increase in line performance, with line efficiency rising to 68.06%, balance delay decreasing to 31.94%, and the smoothness index improving to 7.135. In conclusion, the RPW method has proven effective in balancing the production line and improving production efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and reduce oil leakage defects in the Oil Leak Test process at the Engine Assembly Line of PT XYZ using the Six Sigma method with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach. Research data were collected from May to October 2025 with a total production of 73,644 units and 381 defects identified. The measurement results showed a Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) value of 398 with a sigma level of 4.85. Pareto analysis indicated that the dominant defect occurred in the damper pulley area. Fishbone analysis identified defect causes related to human, machine, method, material, and environmental factors. Improvement actions included torque wrench interlock implementation, automatic air blow installation, additional component inspection, and material protection. After implementation, the DPMO decreased to 208 and the sigma level increased to 5.03. The results indicate that the Six Sigma method effectively improves the quality of the Oil Leak Test process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of adding snail shell powder and Bacillus subtilis bacteria on the physical and mechanical properties of clay soil in Wonoayu District, Sidoarjo. Based on the USCS classification, the original soil was categorized as OH soil with high plasticity and low bearing capacity. Laboratory tests conducted in this study included water content, volumetric test, specific gravity, Atterberg limits, Proctor test, and Unconfined Compression Strength (UCS). The mixtures used consisted of 5%, 10%, and 15% snail shell powder combined with 6% Bacillus subtilis and cured for 7 days. The results showed that the stabilization process reduced water content, void ratio, degree of saturation, and soil plasticity values. The maximum dry density increased from 1.447 gr/cm³ to 1.536 gr/cm³, while the highest UCS value was obtained in the 15% SCB + 6% BS mixture at 0.53108 kg/cm². These results indicate that the combination of snail shell powder and Bacillus subtilis effectively improves the stability and strength of clay soil.

Abstract

The development of infrastructure in Sidoarjo requires stable soil conditions, especially in areas dominated by soft clay soils. This study aims to determine the effect of soil stabilization using Bacillus subtilis bacteria and lime on the physical and compaction properties of soil. Laboratory tests were conducted on original soil and stabilized soil using 3% Bacillus subtilis bacteria with lime variations of 10% and 15% during a 3-day curing period. The results showed that the addition of Bacillus subtilis and lime reduced water content and optimum moisture content (OMC), while increasing the maximum dry density (MDD). The optimum mixture was obtained from 3% Bacillus subtilis and 15% lime, with an MDD value of 1.977 gr/cm³ and OMC of 19%. These results indicate that Bacillus subtilis and lime can improve soil density and stability. Therefore, this stabilization method has the potential to be applied as an alternative ground improvement technique for soft clay soils.

Abstract

Machine productivity is a critical factor in the success of manufacturing production systems. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Hydraulic Dished End Press at PT Meco Inoxprima and identify the primary causes of the machine’s performance decline using an integrated approach combining OEE, FMEA, and TPM. Based on operational data from September 2025 to February 2026, the average OEE value was 44,96%, far below the world-class standard of 85%. The component contributing the most was the performance rate (average 64,20%). An analysis of the Six Big Losses identified setup and adjustment losses (12,50%) and equipment failure losses (11,93%) as the largest losses. Through FMEA, the most critical failure modes were hydraulic seal leaks (RPN 432), hydraulic pump failure (RPN 300), and die wear (RPN 280). Improvement proposals based on the TPM pillars were implemented in April 2026 and continued in May 2026, resulting in and increase in the OEE value from 44,96% to 61,92%, demonstrating the continued impact of sustained TPM implementation.
