Abstract

Solar photovoltaic energy is a renewable energy source that converts sunlight into electricity through the use of solar photovoltaic cells. The potential of solar energy is enormous, because the sun is an energy source that is abundantly available throughout the world. The method in this article is a qualitative method with literature study or Library Research. The purpose of this article is to analyze existing theories by looking at their comparison to previous theories in the research literature. The literature used is literature from research results or reviews that are recorded in national and international scientific articles that are relevant to the topic of this article. All articles used are sourced from the electronic literacy data search engine Mendeley and Google scholar. Based on the results of the literature review article on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that solar photovoltaic energy has high potential to be used as an alternative energy source in the long term in the future.

Abstract

Nowadays, to match the dynamics of the marketplace and provide the expected product qualification, industrial manufacturing systems are always developing. One of the most issues which have a large influence on the product that would be accepted by the market is environmental issues. Implementing an environmentally friendly concept through the process could be one of the best solutions to counter the issue and it expectedly meets the requirement of the company's operational permit. In regards of the palm oil industry, is an essential source of national income and has an important role in creating opportunities for employment and developing rural areas in Indonesia, yet it also potentially can cause natural environmental degradation. This means the production process of CPO should be in line with ecological guidelines and legislation that could be used to attain more beneficial impacts on global market competitiveness, social and economic development, and better impacts in maintaining the environment as well. This research tried to critically evaluate the implementation of the zero waste technology scheme for Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) mandatory in Crude Palm Oil (CPO) industries and its impact on the company's future position. Using PESTLE analysis then, it can recommend the best possible ways to treat the waste as an excess of the production process

Abstract

Roasting is a process of frying coffee without oil using high temperatures which aims to speed up the process of frying coffee beans. The coffee roasting process aims to form the taste and aroma of the coffee beans. The coffee roasting equipment used in this study was a horizontal cylinder type coffee roaster with a capacity of 2 kg. This machine rotates with an electric dynamo. It has a cylindrical tube with a length of 27.5 cm and the heat comes from an LPG (Liquefied petroleum gas) stove. The purpose of this research is to test the performance of coffee roasting equipment. The data that needs to be measured from this coffee roasting tool is the need for electrical power used, roasting capacity and the change in color of the coffee when it is roasted. The electric power used is 12 volts 15 amperes. The results of the dark roast test at 200°c at 21 minutes. The maximum capacity of this horizontal cylinder type roasting machine is 2 kilograms

Abstract

Garbage or waste is a major problem currently happening, this problem has become a serious problem, especially in big cities, not only in Indonesia, but throughout the world. Many developed countries have made various efforts to overcome these problems, but have not had a significant impact. The purpose of this research is to: 1. Make an environmentally friendly incinerator that produces charcoal and liquid smoke. 2. Expected combustion results as planned. Data collection uses 2 ways, namely: 1. Direct observation, review and find out what is needed in the process of making incinerators. 2. Literature study, collecting relevant and appropriate data, by looking at previous research related to the manufacture of incinerators as waste burning devices. The conclusions of the study are: 1. The results of the manufacture of an incinerator using a drum capacity of 200 liters with a height specification of 0.98 meters and a width of 0.58 meters. 2. The results of physical testing of this incinerator are capable of producing charcoal and liquid smoke. 3. Testing the resistance of the incinerator from the heat generated by the combustion process is very good because the drum is coated with clay, while leakage at the top cover of the combustion chamber occurs because the gasket is not heat resistant.

Abstract

Abstract Technology that is increasingly rapidly developing encourages all parties to compete to create or develop better technology, and has great benefits and efficiency. In these moving activities, an efficient, practical and economical means of transport is needed to facilitate the transfer process. The objectives of this research are: 1. Applying Benchmarking method in the design of adjustable roller conveyor. 2. Analyze the function and material components, and record the advantages and disadvantages. This research was conducted using the Benchmarking method, the results of this study were in the form of product designs and products for adjustable roller conveyors as material transferers. The conclusions of this study are: 1. Design of an adjustable roller conveyor based on benchmaking with two Roller conveyor tools, this tool is very well suited and very easy in the transfer process, especially for materials that are very far away. 2. The manufacture of adjustable roller conveyors has gone through an analysis process in terms of function, and the component materials used are in accordance with the aspects that have been designed with the advantages and disadvantages made.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the gap between the design and actual implementation of an e-Government project using the ITPOSMO method. By knowing this gap, stakeholders involved in the project can find a suitable approach to prevent the project from falling on its implementation. Information about the application, required by conducting observation and interviews with various parties involved in the use of SIPKD (Regional Financial Management Information System) in Kampa district, Riau Province. From this research, it was found that the Kampa district has a gap between the design and implementation of an e-Government project, especially in the SIPKD application of 22 points. The distribution of the gap is 5 points in information dimension, 3 points in technology dimension, 3 points in process dimension, 3 points in objective and value dimension, 4 points in staffing and skills dimension, 3 points in management system and structure, and 1 point in other resources dimension. Based on the total gaps that have been occurred, the implementation of the SIPKD application has the risk of partial failure from its initial design unless action is taken to reduce the gap between design and reality. The biggest gap is in the information dimension and staffing and skill dimension.

Abstract

This research is intended to see how far efforts to prevent the risk of work accidents and work-related diseases can be minimized by carrying out other constructive efforts, the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health will not run well if the involvement of all parties is not optimal according to their roles and functions. Besides that, this research is also aimed at knowing the Occupational Health and Safety management system, the dangers of work accidents and the factors that cause work accidents that occur in companies. The method used is the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) approach involving employees based on the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) and SWOT analysis. The results of the study show that in the HIRA method, there are 3 types of production activities that have a high enough risk rating number (RRN). The main cause of work accidents with the FTA method is the potential for work accidents to occur, namely the finger caught in the mold head and pain in the back. For the SWOT matrix, the methods used by the company to achieve good growth include involving employees through efforts to create an Occupational Safety and Health team to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health program, create an administrative system that aims to manage the Safety management system and Occupational Health, as well as socialization regarding Occupational Safety and Health. By empowering employees in Occupational Health and Safety management, it is hoped that zero incidents will be achieved later.

Abstract

PT.SMT is a company engaged in processing and assembling products from sheet metal materials, in the production process some processes are still conventional. According to the initial assessment, welding and grinding stations are two workstations where operators often experience injuries. The study's objective was to assess the operator's working position in order to gauge the severity of a work injury. The technique is called RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment). Four operators are at a high risk, as shown by the NBM (Nordic Body Map) computations. These operators work in the welding process, which receives scores of 73 and 69, and the grinding process, which receives scores of 60 and 64.. The score of 6 is obtained from the RULA score for the operator's welding process in the welding department, indicatingng that more research needs to be done and change needs to happen quickly. This shows that to reduce operator work accidents, the production process must be improved.

Abstract

PT. Laksana Anda Jaya is a company that operates in the field of providing products and services. Based on the results of observations made by researchers, that the company experienced a decline in revenue, the results in this study using the Balanced Scorecard obtained 4 perspectives, namely. From a financial perspective, looking at Retrun on Capital Employed (ROCE), it is known that during 2021 to 2022 there has been an increase with a target value of 19%, while Retrun On Investment is known to have decreased by 3% during 2021 to 2022, while for operating costs the target achieved has increased by value of 149% in 2021 to 2022, customer perspective as a result of distributing questionnaires which resulted in a customer satisfaction level of 15% with products/services, internal business perspective with innovation processes and after-sales services provided by the company PT. Laksana Anda Jaya at 3.53% and after sales with a target value of 2.95% and operations processes with a target value of 3.57, a learning and growth perspective provides a target value of 20% and employee retention with a target value of 100%. Meanwhile, for the Quality Function Deployment approach, there are several suggestions for improvements that PT needs to improve. Anda Jaya's implementation in the results of these improvement proposals is that there are 6 proposals that need to be prioritized, namely, creating a marketing division (Marketing), building intense relationships with customers, building working relationships with customers, improving performance and providing guarantees, providing a suggestion box and a means for customer complaints and improve the quality of raw materials.

Abstract

X is a bridal company. For the last three years, the income from party dress rental have decreased. The company suspects this is caused by the emergence of new competitors. The company has tried to make improvements. However, these improvements have no effect. Therefore, further research is needed to determine the factors that influenced purchase intention. The research model that’s been used conduct five variable. There are 113 data collected using questionaire. The data will be processed using smart-PLS 30-days trial software and use PLS-SEM method. The test results indicate that there are three variables that affect purchase intention. That variable is social network marketing, consumer engagement, and price consciousness. To make improvement, we used IPMA matrix to determine importance and performance level of each variable. The final result from the research is there are seven proposed improvement that has been accepted by the company.
