Abstract

In this study, the economic feasibility of the 10% discount promotion on weekdays during the off-season at Ranca Tales Mini Waterboom Swimming Pool in Serang City was assessed. Cost-benefit analysis (CBA) was used as the quantitative approach, and data were obtained through documentation, interviews, and observation. Results showed a 40% increase in the number of visitors; in three months, revenue increased from Rp13,200,000 to Rp17,820,000, with promotional costs of Rp1,800,000 deducted, which resulted in a net benefit of Rp2,820,000 and a Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) value of 2.57. In addition to increasing financial returns, this strategy increases customer loyalty, employee motivation, and company competitiveness. As a result, a similar promotion is recommended for the next quiet period.

Abstract

Yayasan Aisyah Berbagi is a social foundation that runs the Sedekah Jum’at Rutin program, which aims to support orphans, the poor, and the underprivileged. However, several issues still exist, including ineffective information dissemination, manual processes for both donations and donation submissions, lack of transparency in donation pickups, and manual donation reporting. This research aims to apply the design thinking method in developing a web-based donation application for Yayasan Aisyah Berbagi’s Sedekah Jum’at Rutin program, with the goal of increasing donation process efficiency, expanding donor reach, and making it easier for the public to submit donations. The results show that implementing this method effectively addresses the existing problems within Yayasan Aisyah Berbagi. With the introduction of this web-based donation application, the donation process is expected to become more practical, transparent, and well-organized, allowing Yayasan Aisyah Berbagi to optimize its fundraising efforts more effectively.

Abstract

Aldy Jaya Store is a business that sells various necessities such as food, fishing equipment, fish supplies, and bird supplies. Currently, the store does not have a transaction recording system or stock management, which results in difficulties in obtaining sales reports and often disappoints customers due to the lack of real-time stock information. Therefore, this research aims to design a web-based cash register application that can effectively record sales transactions and monitor stock items, to facilitate reporting and store management. The development of this application uses the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC) approach, which includes identifying security needs, designing a secure system, developing protected code, testing security, implementing applications, and maintaining security. The results from the development show that this cashier application is capable of improving operational efficiency and maintaining data security. Through the implementation of data classification and role-based access control, this application not only serves as a recording tool but is also able to protect data from threats, maintain information integrity, and ensure optimal system availability.

Abstract

PT. Braja Mukti Cakra (BMC) is a manufacturing company specialising in engine components, clutches, brakes, axles, and undercarriages for cars and trucks. PT. BMC has 57 process lines, and three of these process lines do not meet the production target based on data from the Production Department for January to August 2022—namely, the Fly Wheel line process, Pressure Plate 2/1, and Pressure Plate 1/1. After calculating the effectiveness value using Overall Resource Effectiveness (ORE), there are still many ORE values below 85% or not optimal, and some are in the range of 40% to 60%, indicating the need for further improvement. After being explained using a fishbone diagram, there are four causal factors: humans, machines, materials, and method/tool designs. When the cause of the problem is known, a 5W + 1H analysis is conducted to identify and address the root causes of the issues that arise. So that the performance of the production process in the three is more effective

Abstract

This study evaluates the productivity of footstep-type motorcycle spare part production at UMKM IMVSPEEDSHOP Pasuruan, where production capacity fails to meet market demand. The Objective Matrix (OMAX) method was employed to assess productivity across five key performance ratios, while Root Cause Analysis (RCA) incorporating Fishbone Diagram and 5-Why’s Analysis identified underlying inefficiencies. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) prioritized critical factors affecting productivity. Findings revealed fluctuating productivity levels, with Ratio 5 (labor hours per defective unit) scoring lowest (43), highlighting inefficiencies in defect control. Major contributing factors included insufficient operator training, irregular machine maintenance, lack of standardized procedures (SOP), and suboptimal workspace design. Proposed corrective measures encompass developing comprehensive SOPs, enhancing technical training, implementing preventive maintenance schedules, and optimizing ergonomic conditions. These interventions aim to boost operational efficiency, reduce waste, and align production output with market requirements. The study provides actionable insights for improving productivity in small-scale automotive manufacturing, offering a framework for similar MSMEs facing comparable challenges.

Abstract

CV. Maras Beton is one of the paving block manufacturers in Sumbawa that continues to face challenges in maintaining product quality. A large number of defective paving blocks go unrecorded, indicating weak quality control, which leads to an increasing number of defects and financial losses for the company. This study aims to identify and propose solutions to these product defects using the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. Based on a sample drawn from a population of 98, the SQC analysis using five tools identified four main types of defects: cracks, porous surfaces, chipped edges, and breakage, with a monthly increase in defect trends. Although the dominant defect varies each month, cracks are the most frequent, accounting for 26.8% of total defects. FMEA results show the highest RPN values stem from material factors (unmeasured sand moisture), method (manual measuring), and human factors (workers rushing). Recommended improvements include using a moisture meter, standardizing volume measurements, and scheduling product transfers more efficiently.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a warehousing system that still uses manual methods to record stock of goods, which as a result causes errors in stock calculation, data loss, and difficulty in accurately tracking the movement of goods. In completing this research, research and development (R&D) methods are used to overcome it with stages such as Analysis, Development, and Implementation. Through the development and design of warehousing information systems based on Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic (VBA). The warehouse information system that has been developed provides benefits to UPTI's spare parts warehouse. Pasuruan wood, which is like time efficiency in managing stock of goods, helps in planning the need for spare parts, makes it easier to track goods and reduces the risk of shortages or excess stock.

Abstract

Lopek Bugi MSME in Kampar Regency, Riau, is one of the traditional regional food producers that faces challenges in raw material inventory management. The main problem is the imbalance between supply and demand, especially during periods of high demand, which often leads to raw material shortages and loss of sales potential. This study aims to optimize inventory management using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. A quantitative approach with case studies is used in this study, with data collected through direct observation, interviews, and historical documentation. The results of the study indicate that the EOQ method is able to determine the optimal order quantity that minimizes total inventory costs. In addition, this method helps in determining the reorder point (ROP) and safety stock to prevent stock shortages and anticipate demand fluctuations. This study provides practical benefits for Lopek Bugi MSME in managing its inventory efficiently and economically. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for the development of local government policies in supporting the optimization of MSME inventory management.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the palletizer machine at PT XYZ using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and to identify the main causes of failure through the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) approach. OEE measurement includes three key parameters: availability, performance rate, and quality rate. The results show that the OEE value ranges between 91%–93%, which exceeds the JIPM standard of 85%, but has yet to consistently meet the company's production target of 91%. The Six Big Losses analysis revealed that the highest loss was due to equipment failure, accounting for 1.7%, with the palletizer contributing 55% of the total technical downtime. FMEA identified three critical components with the highest Risk Priority Numbers (RPN): the push box motor, sliding motor, and hydraulic oil pump. Root causes were further explored using a fishbone diagram.
