Abstract

Labor productivity is one of the crucial factors in maintaining the sustainability and efficiency of the production process in manufacturing companies. This study aims to analyze labor productivity using the Time and Motion Study method in the CKD packing process at the maxi line of PT. XYZ, which has cycle time variations between product models (BRW, BKT, BDL, and BWE). The results show significant variations in work effectiveness and efficiency between models, as well as several ineffective activities such as material waiting time and outercase delays. By applying the Time and Motion Study method, this research provides recommendations in the form of cycle time evaluation, workload redistribution, and improvements in work layout and tools to enhance labor productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze risks and develop mitigation strategies in the supply chain of CV Kopi Biji Palembang using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The research was conducted through direct observation, interviews, and data analysis covering procurement, production, storage, and distribution processes. Each identified risk was evaluated based on Severity, Occurrence, and Detection, then calculated into the Risk Priority Number (RPN). The results showed that the highest risks were related to delays in raw material supply and errors in the production process. Mitigation strategies were formulated to reduce the impact of these risks and improve operational efficiency. This research is expected to provide practical contributions for medium-scale coffee businesses in systematically managing supply chain risks.

Abstract

his study aims to identify and reduce defects in battery clamp products at Geulis Automotif SME by applying Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. Defect data from January to December 2024 show an average defect rate of 10.74%, with the most dominant types being dents and holes. FTA was used to systematically identify root causes, while FMEA evaluated risk levels using the Risk Priority Number (RPN). The highest RPN value reached 160, caused by poor-quality solder material. The analysis produced improvement recommendations including raw material inspection, solder filtering, mold maintenance, and enhancing operator focus through task rotation and daily briefings. The combined use of FTA and FMEA proved effective in minimizing failure risks and improving the overall quality of battery clamp production.

Abstract

Supplier selection is a crucial aspect in supporting smooth production processes, particularly in ensuring the availability of high-quality raw materials. This study aims to develop a decision support system to determine the best tin Supplier using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). AHP is applied to determine the weights of five main criteria: price, quality, availability, delivery, and service, with delivery receiving the highest weight of 0.484. Subsequently, TOPSIS is used to rank Supplier alternatives based on the calculated weights. The results show that Supplier 2 is the best choice according to AHP with a preference value of 0.333, while TOPSIS recommends Supplier 1 with a preference value of 0.604. This difference reflects the distinct evaluation approaches of each method. Combining AHP and TOPSIS offers a more objective and comprehensive assessment for more accurate Supplier selection decisions.

Abstract

CV. Indah Karya Furniture, a company engaged in the furniture manufacturing industry, faces challenges in maintaining the quality of its flagship product, the meja nakas (nightstand). This research employs the Nine Tools approach, a combination of the basic seven tools and the new seven tools, including: control chart u, stratification, Pareto diagram, histogram, scatter diagram, fishbone diagram, affinity diagram, interrelationship diagram, and tree diagram. The data analyzed consists of production and defect data from July 2024, totaling 355 units. The findings reveal that delamination is the most frequent defect, with 101 occurrences (70%), followed by uneven surfaces with 28 occurrences (19%), and joint gaps with 16 occurrences (11%). According to the u control chart, the production process is statistically unstable, as some points exceed the upper control limit. The scatter diagram indicates a random relationship between production volume and defect count.

Abstract

The present study aims to determine the effect of BMI, shelf height, and weight of goods on energy requirements in manual material handling (MMH) activities. The BMI levels considered are thin and normal, while the weight of goods is classified into two levels, 5 kg and 10 kg. The shelf height is also classified into two levels, 76 cm and 126 cm. The research respondents were four male workers aged 18-25 years. The results of the ANOVA test demonstrate that the three factors have an influence on energy requirements, as well as the interaction between BMI and weight of goods on energy requirements. The results of further tests using the Duncan test show that respondents with a thin BMI required more energy than respondents with a normal BMI when lifting 10 kg. Conversely, the disparity in energy requirements between lean and normal BMI respondents when lifting 5 kg was not significant. The findings of the energy consumption calculation indicate that the energy required by workers to perform MMH activities in this study falls within the light workload criteria.

Abstract

Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is a process to determine effective maintenance. Dryer Tumbler is a drying machine that has a concentrated air flow pattern and a sealed cylinder rim to ensure the water management system works optimally. This tool is very useful and beneficial especially for laundry because it can produce the highest output in meeting the workload. Repeated component damage occurs in the dryer tumbler machine at Hotel X due to less than optimal maintenance. This is because the maintenance and repair estimates for the existing dryer tumbler machine have not been managed with good and suitable methods. Repeated component interference in the machine makes the machine's performance less than optimal, thus hampering the production process. The production process that is not running optimally causes the resulting product to also experience a decrease in quality. Based on the calculation of component replacement costs, cost savings of 85.17% were obtained for dryer bearings, 2.84% for flatbelts, 58.59% for sizepress bearings and 75.23% for gear couplings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution system of decorative ceramics in small and medium industry (SMI) centers in Malang, Bantul, Banjarnegara, and Bali. The method used is Secondary Data Analysis (ADS) with a quantitative descriptive approach. The results show that production volume and workforce have a significant influence on distribution generation and pull. Products are mostly exported, while domestic distribution is seasonal and limited. The main modes of transportation are light trucks and ferries. This study recommends a long-term growth strategy through strengthening the supply chain, increasing production capacity, and improving transportation efficiency

Abstract

This study analyzed the factors causing the decline in the quality of Pinogu coffee using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, involving seven respondents from farmers and MSMEs. The analysis identified six main criteria: color irregularity, musty odor, moisture, physical damage, mass/weight, and hollow beans. Based on the AHP calculation, bean color irregularity emerged as the most dominant factor (weighting 42%), followed by musty odor and mass/weight (each 19%). A Consistency Ratio (CR) value of 0.03 (<0.1) indicates a high level of assessment consistency. These findings reveal that the main quality problems originate from the harvesting and post-harvest handling stages. The study recommends that Wakapu MSMEs prioritize improvements in the ripe fruit selection process and moisture control as strategic steps to improve quality. The study results provide a practical contribution in the form of an effective intervention priority scale for local coffee entrepreneurs with limited resources.

Abstract

Progress of information technology at the moment continue to expand along with requirement of human being wishing amenity, accuracy and speed in obtaining information. One of them impact on the advancement of information technology in the field of financial accounting. Andalas University is a leading Educational Institutions. To carry out the activity of many lectures at the University of Andalas perform various financial data processing. Bookkeeping treasurer computer using the media as a tool to perform data processing using Microsoft Excel. Leaders so difficult to get reports more quickly and accurately. In this case I use the PHP programming language and MySQL are useful to help process the financial accounting data treasurer Andalas University. PHP programming language which is connected to the database is very helpful in the process of financial accounting data processing treasurer. So the reports in financial accounting data processing treasurer avoid mistakes, faster and more accurate.
