Abstract

The Effect of the Field Trip Method on the Ability to Write Poetry in Students of SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara. This research is an experimental study that aims to determine the effect of the field trip method on the ability to write poetry. The independent variable in this research is the field trip method, while the variable used is writing poetry text. The population in this study were all students majoring in science class X held 3 classes, while the sample was X IPA 3 with 36 students. The research data were obtained by giving pretest and posttest writing poetry texts. The data analysis technique is descriptive and inferential analysis using the IBM SPSS version 23 application. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, the comparison of the t-count and t-table values is 16,062> 1,68. Based on this, it is stated that the accepted hypothesis means that the field trip method has an effect on the poetry writing ability of the tenth graders of SMAN 1 Toraja Utara.

Abstract

Improving Explanatory Text Writing Skills Using the Simulation Method. This study aims to describe the explanation writing skills of Class VII students of SMPN I Tonra by applying the explanation method. This research is class action research. This research was conducted in Class VII of SMP I Tonra, Bone Regency, for the 2021/2022 academic year. This Classroom action research was carried out by applying two cycles of data collection using observation and testing techniques. The results showed that students' skills in writing explanatory text increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2.

Abstract

Comparative Analysis of Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes Based on the Independent Curriculum in Online and Offline Learning. This study aims to describe the comparison of the learning outcomes of Indonesian language based on the independent curriculum on brave and attractive learning for class X students majoring in Computer Network Engineering  at SMK Negeri 11 Malang. This study is both research and quantitative. Data was collected using a learning achievement test and then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students with the offline learning system were superior to those of students with the online learning system.

Abstract

Indonesian Language Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic in Class X SMA Negeri 12 Sinjai. This study aims to find out how to plan, implement, and evaluate online learning during the Covid-19 period for class X SMA Negeri 12 Sinjai. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This study's data is divided into three lessons: planning, implementing, and evaluating online learning. The data source used was the Indonesian language teacher at SMA Negeri 12 Sinjai. Data collection is done through interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, unit arrangement, and categorization. The results of this study produce a description of online learning, specifically in: (1) online learning planning is that the teacher does not prepare new indicators, (2) the implementation of online learning, where the teacher uses a conceptual approachin is the lecture method, and (3) online learning assessment is that the teacher uses the types and forms of online learning assessment.

Abstract

Alay Language in Youth Housing Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of using Alay on adolescents in the Kramat Jati housing complex, East Jakarta. This research uses a qualitative research method through descriptive analysis techniques. The subjects in this study were teenagers in the Kramat Jati housing complex, East Jakarta. With this method, data is collected and presented in the form of words. In this study, data were obtained on the speech of the Alay language at Kramat Jati housing, East Jakarta. The data obtained for further analysis will depend on the focus of the research. The results of the study show that the use of Alay has a negative impact on the proper and correct use of Indonesian.

Abstract

The Value of Character Education in Fantasy Story Text. This study aims to describe the form of the 2013 Curriculum's Class VII Indonesian Language Books for SMP/MTs. This research is a type of qualitative research. The research design is a qualitative, descriptive research design. The data in this study are words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs that contain educational character values in three types of literary texts, namely fantasy story texts. Indonesian books for class VII SMP  and MTs published by the Ministry of Education and Culture Curriculum 2013 Revised Edition 2017 were used as data sources in this study. The results showed that there are five values in the form of character education values in fantasy story texts, with twenty-one sub-values. Religious values (sub-values of faith, sincerity, and friendship), nationalist values (sub-values of environmental protection, willingness to sacrifice, love of the motherland, discipline, and cultural appreciation), independent values (sub-values of work ethic, courage, fighting power, and achievement), mutual cooperation values (sub-values of solidarity, cooperation, empathy, deliberation to reach a consensus), and cultural appreciation are all manifestations of these character education values.

Abstract

Typology Suicide in the San Francisco Novel: A Study of Literary Sociology. of This study aims to describe and analyze the typology of suicide based on the theory of sociologist Emile Durkheim in the novel San Francisco by Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The author carried out the study in two stages, namely data collection and data analysis. The stages of data collection were completed in four ways: reading, recording, and processing data via textual dialogs in the novel. Furthermore, the writer will also describe aspects, facts, and the types of Emile Durkheim's suicide, which will be presented in the form of dialogue text data in a structured manner according to the novel by using the study of sociology of literature. Based on the results of the study, it shows that in the novel San Francisco by Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie, there are three types of suicide according to Emile Durkheim, including egoistic suicide, altruistic suicide, and anomic suicide.

Abstract

Differences in Viewer Responses of Men and Women to the Story of the Film Kite Drops. This study aims to describe the responses and factors that cause differences in the responses of male and female viewers to the story of the film Layangan Putus. Data collection was carried out using literature study techniques and questionnaires using the response perspective theory of Hans Robert Jauss. The results of the study show that: (1) the responses of men, especially those who already have a partner or wife, describe more of their complaints because their partners or wives become more suspicious; (2) the responses of female viewers, especially those who are not yet married, describe more caution because they are careful in choosing a partner; and (3) the cause of differences in the responses of male and female viewers is that the horizons of expectations that each man and woman have are different, making it possible for the difference in acceptance of the film Layang Disconnect.

Abstract

Imperative Politeness of Indonesian Language Teachers in Learning in Class X SMA Ta'miriyah Surabaya. This research is qualitative descriptive research that aims to describe the important utterances of SMA Ta'miriyah teachers in Surabaya. The data for this research are the utterances of Indonesian teachers at SMA Ta'miriyah Surabaya, which contain imperative linguistic and pragmatic politeness sentences. The source of the data is the spoken utterances of Indonesian teachers in SMA during the learning process in class. The results of the study show that the imperative politeness of Indonesian language teachers in linguistic imperative politeness is characterized by expressions marking politeness, namely please, try, please, come on, and beg. Imperative pragmatic politeness that appears in this study is divided into two, categories: pragmatic politeness of declarative speech and pragmatic politeness of interrogative speech. Among the declarative utterances are the politeness of orders, prohibitions, and invitations; and interrogative speech as an expression of the pragmatic politeness of prohibitions and orders.

Abstract

Implementation of Direct Object Media in Poetry Writing Learning. This study aims to determine the implementation of direct media objects in learning to write poetry in class VIII of SMP Islam Al Falah Jambi. The researcher used a qualitative approach, with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews with class VIII Indonesian teachers, and backups. Data analysis techniques were carried out by collecting, reducing, presenting, and concluding. The results of the research show that the medial implementation of direct objects is carried out effectively. Stages of learning through direct object media, namely the planning stage of preparing direct object media and preparing learning materials. Then comes the implementation stage of learning with medial objects Students directly observe objects outside the classroom and are divided into several groups, Students begin to observe predetermined objects and start writing poetry, and then the results of their writing are collected. Finally, the teacher's evaluation stage assesses the results of the students' poetry.
