Abstract

This study was a Research and Development that aimed to develop in order to gain a standard instrument for measuring self-confidence and creative thinking in mathematics learning. The instrument for measuring self-confidence and creative thinking in the mechanical engineering expertise program used the development of test and non-test instruments. This study uses a large scale with a total of 210 students of class X (Vocational High School) SMK Negeri 1 Lambu Bima District. The research used an instrument development model that used a test and a non-test Mardapi Theory with 10 steps. The ten steps of developing this instrument produce a valid and reliable instrument product, simplified into three steps. There were a preliminary stage, development stage, and evaluation stage. The preliminary stage consists of determining the specifications of the writing of the instrument and determining the scoring. The development stage consists of instrument review by an expert. testing. analysis. and revision. The evaluation stage consists of assembling and refining the instrument. The validity and content reliability analysis used the Aiken formula and the Hoyt formula for construct validity using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha. Based on the results of research in the field the measuring instrument for self-confidence and creative thinking is said to be valid and reliable. It has a value of 0.3 with an average of 0.747. The conclusion of the research: the instrument is feasible to use. While the contribution of this research is this instrument can measure the increase of self-confidence and creative thinking in mathematics learning.

Abstract

The availability of instruments for measuring critical thinking and communication skills for class X SMA Negeri 15 Seram Barat is still limited, so it needs to be developed. This study developed an essay model assessment instrument consisting of 10 questions. Using the Mardapi development model consists of 10 steps. The results of the validity and reliability analysis using the Ikens'V and TwoWayAnnova formulas, the average score obtained is 0.73 for critical thinking skills and 0.64 for communication skills where the score exceeds the standard coefficient of 0.3, then it can be declared valid . While the measurement of reliability with the Eibel formula obtained a score of 0.78 critical thinking skills and 0.82 communication skills, it entered the very high category, so it can be concluded that the critical thinking and communication skills assessment instrument can be said to be valid and reliable. Field analysis data seen from the KMO score of 0.835 indicates that the KMO value is >0.5 so that the instrument items can be analyzed further. The results on the RotatedComponentMatrixaform 2 factors which are named 1) the ability to analyze and solve problems 2) the ability to convey ideas concretely. Furthermore, the results of reliability testing with the Cronbachs alpha get the results of 0.654 or >0.6. From the results of these tests, it can be concluded that the instrument for assessing critical thinking and communication skills has good validity and reliability, so this instrument is expected to be used later by teachers as a reference or guide for teachers to measure critical thinking and communication skills.

Abstract

Development of Character Assessment Instruments for Elementary School Students in Sikka Regency in Mathematics Subjects Materials for Flat Shapes Based on Android Applications is a development research with the formulation of the problem, namely: The assessment model used by the teacher, Design of developing student character assessment instruments, Validity, Reliability and Practicality of student character assessment instruments on Android-based flat-building math subjects. The purpose of the study was to produce an instrument for assessing the character of elementary school students in Sikka Regency based on a valid, reliable, and practical android application. The research method uses research and development (R&D). The development using the Djemari Mardapi model was modified in three stages: the preliminary stage, the development stage, and the evaluation stage. The results of the study resulted in a teacher's guidebook and the application of student character assessment instruments in valid, reliable, and practical mathematics subjects, the instrument was validated by a validator to test the feasibility of the instrument, reliability was analyzed by intraclass correlation coefficients obtained by an average limited trial of 0.783. Large-scale trials average 0.868 and average measure 0.906. One-way ANOVA statistical test obtained a valid value of 0.85. Practicality test highest score 80 practical. In conclusion, the development research resulted in a teacher's guidebook and an application for character assessment for elementary school students in mathematics. Suggestions for teachers to use guidebooks and applications that have been downloaded via Smartphones in classroom learning when conducting learning evaluations.

Abstract

The use of the EJAS (Experiental Jelajah Alam Sekitar/ Experiental of Exploring the Surroundings) model in learning to write poetry is designed as an alternative to a more meaningful learning process. The EJAS model helps students express their experiences of exploring the environment and being creative in the form of poetry. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of the EJAS model in learning to write poetry based on students' learning motivation. This study used an experimental research method with a factorial design. Data was collected using test techniques to determine learning outcomes and non-test techniques to determine the level of learning motivation. The data were tested and processed using statistical tests, then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The data was processed and tested using the SPSS application. The results of the study using the paired samples test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. There was a difference in the average learning outcomes of students, the results of the initial test showed an average grade of 64.13 and the average result of the final test was 81.04. Based on the test results, it could be concluded that the EJAS model was effectively used in learning to write poetry. The EJAS model which was usually used in biology learning can improve students' skills, creativity, and motivation in learning to write poetry.

Abstract

Teachers are expected to be able to evaluate the learning process and also be able to develop evaluation tools or instruments used in the learning process. Test items are considered appropriate if they are valid and able to measure the level of suitability and reliability or consistency. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of the test items and the mathematical ability of the XII grade students of the State Vocational School in one of State Vocational School in Semarang District. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that describes the quality of the mathematics test items made by the teacher and the students' abilities in mathematics. The subjects in this study were 126 student response patterns to the test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 20 items for class XII students. Rasch model was used to analyze this research with the help of Winsteps 3.73 software. A total of 20 items were tested, there was only one item, namely item number 7, which did not fit, which means it does not function normally to measure students' abilities. The ability of students who are relatively weak with Person Reliability of 0.48. The results showed that the quality of the test items was applicable. This is indicated by the Item Reliability value of 0.95 which means that the items are very good for evaluating students' abilities.

Abstract

Postgraduate Universitas Negeri Semarang as an educational institution organized by the government is required to improve the quality of services, be able to set service standards with the dimensions of maintaining quality and meeting the needs of the entire academic community both in Postgraduate and the scope of UNNES. Service quality is also intended so that all stakeholders can enjoy the service to the fullest. Therefore, to facilitate the use of services that integrate several aspects, such as human resources (HR), cooperation, facilities and infrastructure, the Postgraduate Program seeks to develop an online information system that is expected to facilitate the performance of the UNNES academic community. Based on the explanation above, UNNES Postgraduate wants to develop an information system that includes human resources (HR), cooperation and facilities and infrastructure. The collection of data in these 3 fields is very important so that it can be used when data is needed during accreditation. The conclusion is the Postgraduate Accreditation Information System (SIAPA) can be used by the UNNES Postgraduate academic community, especially for administration in the field of human resources (HR), cooperation, facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Social studies education in elementary schools is still teacher-centered; it appears that no models or media are employed in social studies education, and learning results have not yet reached the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). This study aims to examine the validity, design, and efficacy of the stay-two-stray and jigsaw learning models utilizing learning video media. This is a development study (Four-D Models) comprised of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. Data collection methods are questionnaires, exams and interviews. This study was conducted in grade V SD Negeri Pakuncen and grade I SD Negeri Wonosari in the Pegandon District of the Kendal Regency. The findings demonstrated that establishing two stay-two-stray and jigsaw learning models with video learning to enhance social studies learning outcomes was highly valid, with a syntactic validation score of 92%, content of 87%, and RPP of 95%. The effectiveness of the offering indicates that learning outcomes have improved. Based on the pre- and post-test results, the N-gain test was classified as moderate with a score of 0.60. In addition, the student's emotional and psychomotor learning outcomes improved with excellent criteria. The benefits of research results make it simpler for students to comprehend the material presented by the teacher, improving student learning outcomes. This research concludes that establishing the stay-two-stray and jigsaw learning models with learning videos can increase learning outcomes and that students can collaborate, be responsible for helping one another solve problems, and motivate one another to excel.

Abstract

The development of an attitude assessments instrument and Pancasila student profiles or Pancasila student profiles in Islamic Religious Education subject was a kind of Research and Development (R&D) with the objectives of: types of assessments, characteristics, validity, and reliability of the attitude assessments instrument and Pancasila student profiles in Islamic Religious Education subject at SMA Negeri 1 Buay Madang with 165 respondents. It used a Borg and Gall model modified using a Djemari Mardapi model with 8 steps, namely determining instrument specifications, creating instruments, defining instrument scales, deciding assessment systems, analyzing the instrument, instrument revision, conducting the assessments, and interpreting the results of the assessment. Here, the instrument validity and reliability were analyzed using the formula of Aiken V and Hyot. For the construct validity, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used, while for estimated reliability, Cronbach’s alpha was employed. Based on the field tests, this instrument has been valid and reliable. In terms of data analysis of 165 respondents, 12.7% obtained low score, 80% obtained medium score, and 7.3% obtained high score. In addition, the instrument validity got the average of 0.80%, while the estimated reliability calculation using Ebel formulae gained the value of Rxx coefficient of 0.97. Moreover, the instrument reliability gained 0.80 based on the Cronbach alpha. In conclusion, the development of an attitude assessments instrument and Pancasila student profiles can provide fruitful benefits and contributions to students to be long-life learners who have global competencies and act based on Pancasila values.

Abstract

This research has a purpose to find out the level of students' ability to work on the questions, the suitability of the individuals with the items, the level of difficulty of the items, the suitability of the items, and the interaction of individuals with the items by using the Rasch model theory. The data collection technique is with documentation, the data collected is in the form of answers from VII grader students of Madrasah Quraniyah Karanganyar taken from the end of the odd semester exam for the 2021/2022 school year. The number of respondents is 23 students and the number of questions is 25 items. The data are analyzed by using the Rasch model theory with the help of the Winstep program. The research result shows that (1) there are 2 students with high abilities (ex11, ex19) and 3 students with low abilities (ex3, ex9, ex12); (2) students who do not fit the model or have misconceptions about the questions are ex16, ex12, ex22, ex09, ex15, and ex21; (3) the most difficult questions are considered to be 2 items (B12, B29), the others are categorized as a medium; (4) the items that do not fit the model are B12, B20 and B24. Research finding generally shows that the test takers' abilities are above the item difficulty level, so the questions must be improved further.

Abstract

This study attempted to determine student satisfaction with the quality of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) Postgraduate Program academic services. It involved 303 Postgraduate Program students chosen using a simple random sampling technique. In terms of methodology, this study used a cross-sectional survey technique. Once the data were obtained, the researchers used descriptive statistics techniques and one-way ANOVA analysis to compare student satisfaction with the quality of UNNES Postgraduate Program academic services in terms of particular ethnography. The research findings show that out of 303 respondents, 71% are at an excellent level of satisfaction, and 22.4% is at a good level of satisfaction, 5% respondents are at a moderate level, 1% are at an alarming level, and 0.7% are at a terrible grade. The services given through SIKADU (UNNES integrated educational system), administrative staff, library, lectures, integrated service unit, workshop and seminars, and telegram gained excellent criterion by the students with a percentage of 71%. Thus, the implementation of services by UNNES Postgraduate Program has been in line with the operational standards and has been able to adapt to the era and needs of the users, particularly the students of UNNES Postgraduate Program.
