Abstract

Students need modules in 21st century learning, especially in entrepreneurship courses. The study aims to describe the characteristics of students towards the Integrated Chemistry Learning Module STEM Entrepreneurship Course in Chemistry Education Sriwijaya University, the topic of Feed for Increasing Non-Racial Chicken Eggs. This research was conducted on the third semester student in Chemistry Education Sriwijaya University with a descriptive method. The research data were collected using a valid questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.925, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the characteristics of student are very suitable or enable or feasible to compose a learning module on the topic of Increasing Non-Racial Chicken Eggs, in the 21st century. Student responded agree and strongly agree to use this module respectively by 57.8 percent and 42.2 percent. Respondents agree and strongly agree that they are accustomed to using Android or Internet or Laptop, respectively, by 62,2 percent and 34,4 percent.

Abstract

Reaction rate material is facts, concepts, calculations and practicum. Learning requires teaching materials to help students find their own concepts starting with contextual problems, one of which is PBL-based LKPD, because it can help students understand concepts through problems so that students are required to think more actively. The research aims at producing alternative teaching materials (helping active students in understanding the material) and determining the validity category. The type of research is R and D with a 4-D model, define, design, develop, and disseminate (not done). The study was limited to the validity test with the research instrument, namely the validity questionnaire. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The research data by five expert validators were analysed using the Cohen kappa formula. Based on the analysis, the resulting LKPD with a very high validity category is 0,83.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the HOTS of students use a guided inquiry model on the basic laws of chemistry. This research is a library research, and the type of library research used is semi-systematic. Sources are secondary data from reputable scientific journals. The documentation method was used in collecting data and data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman method. Data analysis activities in the miles and huberman method consist of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the journal review, it is concluded that the guided inquiry model can increase the HOTS of students and can be seen in the exploration, concept formation, application and closing stages of how to use the guided inquiry model in bringing out students HOTS on basic law of chemistry.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop the Melonit applications an Android-based learning media on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions, and disclose the level of validity of the developed product regarding the validity of the content, construct and media. This type of research is Educational Design Research applying the Plomp development model, which consists of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage and assessment stage. The research instruments used were in the form of content validity questionnaires, constructs and media and one to one evaluation interview sheets. The results of processing the content and construct validity data were obtained at 0,89 with a valid category. Meanwhile, the validity of the media was obtained at 0,94 with a valid category. Research on android-based learning media applications that have been developed is valid, so that further research can be carried out on the practicality and effectiveness of the applications that have been developed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the practicality of the guided inquiry-based acid-base module in class XI MIPA. This study uses a plomp development model consisting of 3 stages, namely initial research, prototype development, and the assessment stage. The instrument used in the practicality test is in the form of a questionnaire given to teachers and students. The practicality value is calculated by using Aiken V formula. The result of this study indicates that the module developed has a practical value of 0,89 with a high category.

Abstract

This study aims to develop chemical literacy items on chemical bonding material that can be used to measure students literacy skills, help students understand chemical literacy-based questions, understand chemistry, communicate chemistry orally and in writing, and apply their ability to solve problems in daily life. The type of research is development research with Model of Educational Reconstruction (MER) design. The content validity test was carried out by five validators and analysed using the Rasch model with the facets application. Meanwhile, empirical testing of students was analysed using the Rasch model with the winsteps application. The results of the content validity analysis in this study showed the results of the agreement (exact agreements) of 86,8 percent and the estimated results of the approval (expected agreements) of 87,8 percent, and the results of the analysis of chemical literacy instruments had a valid category and had a reliability value of 0,96.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students higher-order thinking skills in the guided inquiry learning model of the colloid system material. This research is library research using semi-systematic literature review type. The nature of this research is descriptive analysis. The data collection method in this research is the documentation method with the Miles and Huberman data analysis method. The experimental procedure used follows the following stages: 1) Designing a review, 2) Conducting a review, 3) Analysis, 4) Writing a review. The results of this study showed that students high-order thinking skills in guided inquiry model learning colloid system material can be seen in the exploration, concept formation, application, and closing stages.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the education sector, so technology is needed that can support the learning process, one of which is the use of e-learning. This research aims to develop and determine the validity of e-learning using Schoology based on Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) on the reaction rate material for class XI SMA or MA. The type of research used is development research using the plomp development model. The stages in the plomp model are limited to expert review and one to one evaluation, namely the prototype III. The expert review was carried out by six material expert validators and three media expert validators, while the one to one evaluation was carried out by three students with different abilities. The results of the assessment on each validity questionnaire were processed using the Aikens V formula. Based on the research results, e-learning using Schoology based on GDL model on the reaction rate material can be considered as valid. Further research is needed to determine the practicality and effectiveness of e-learning using Schoology based on GDL model.
