Abstract

Conflict management in the learning process is an important aspect that has a significant impact on the quality of education. Conflicts can arise between students, between students and teachers, and between teachers and school management. Effective conflict management can improve the quality of learning and create an environment conducive to the personal and professional development of all parties. Conflict, if managed well, can trigger positive change and innovation. Several conflict management styles, such as competition, collaboration, compromise, avoidance and accommodation, are important for educators to understand in order to determine the right approach. Factors such as cultural differences, ineffective communication, and competition for resources can trigger conflict. Poorly managed conflict can decrease student motivation, engagement and achievement. Effective conflict management strategies include teacher training, emotional intelligence education, and restorative approaches. Implementing conflict management theory through these strategies can create a more harmonious, inclusive and productive learning environment, as well as improve academic outcomes and student well-being.

Abstract

The implementation of learning by using textbooks in schools is generally still not optimal. Especially at the elementary school level, science subjects that are currently IPAS, and subjects that are considered difficult are a major problem. This is due to the fundamental nature of the book material which greatly affects learning outcomes. One good alternative to improve student understanding and learning outcomes is to make science teaching materials in the form of books based on local wisdom and values. The method used is development research (R&D) with the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) involving 25 students in the experimental class and 24 control classes. The final results of this study on science reading books with local wisdom values proved to be valid for use in elementary schools with a validity value of 94% material experts and 95% media experts and science reading materials with local wisdom values are practical for use in learning for educators and students with a practicality test containing a value of 76%. Science reading materials containing local wisdom values have an impact in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Pengambengan with an Asymp. Sig value of 0.000 <0.05 indicates that reading science subjects based on local wisdom values has an effect on developing further learning outcomes.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology, as well as the use of media and application-based technology in learning, has become increasingly important and necessary to facilitate the learning process. Various literature on the use of applications in the learning process and how it impacts learning effectiveness is reviewed in this study. This research employs a qualitative descriptive methodology based on a literature review. The study focuses on previous research regarding the use of learning applications across different educational levels. The review findings indicate that the use of applications can enhance student engagement, supporting independent learning, and improve educators' ability to create more accessible learning materials. However, factors such as educators' readiness to continuously enhance their skills in using technology, the availability of technological infrastructure, and the design of user-friendly learning applications also influence the success of implementation.

Abstract

Learning motivation plays a crucial role as a driving force for success in the educational process, especially during the primary school years, a period of rapid cognitive and emotional development in children. Parents, as the first educators, have a significant influence in shaping children's learning motivation, which is generally provided through consistent attention, guidance, or encouragement. This study uses a descriptive method with a literature review approach to analyze the involvement of parents in enhancing children's learning motivation. The results show that active parental involvement in their children's education can increase both interest and learning outcomes. However, if parents do not fully understand their role in supporting learning motivation, the outcomes may be less optimal.
