Abstract

Performance measurement is one of the methods used to control the development of organizations and companies in order to maintain the company's competitiveness. UMKM Akbar Jaya Bakery is a company founded in 2001 located in the city of Medan which operates in the bread and cake industry with 8 employees. The problem in this research is the planned daily production capacity not being achieved which is caused by unstable employee performance in each production process. This research aims to optimize the level of performance measurement of Akbar Jaya Bakery employees in order to meet daily production targets using the KPI method. Key performance indicators are a management tool or instrument so that an activity or process carried out can be followed, controlled and ensured that it can achieve performance in accordance with what is desired by a company in order to meet production quality. Based on this research, only 4 indicators are the most prioritized in improving employee performance, namely efficiency in the use of raw materials with a yield value of 125%, human resources who have expertise with a yield value of 100%, additional production equipment 166%, and increasing types of cakes with a yield value of 200%.

Abstract

Inventory planning is an important process in the company's operational process. The main objective of inventory planning is to ensure that the company has optimal and efficient raw material inventory, thereby minimizing inventory costs and storage costs for the company. UD Berkah Niaga Pangan is a company focused on being a rice distributor to meet local market needs. For data processing, the company uses the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to effectively plan raw material requirements. Calculations are performed using forecasting methods such as Moving Average, Single Exponential Smoothing, and Naïve, resulting in an annual Total Inventory Cost of Rp. 64,555,000.

Abstract

PT. DSV Solutions Indonesia is a logistics company facing challenges in efficient warehouse management. One area, Racking Outbound 1, holds the most Stock Keeping Units (SKU). However, materials are placed haphazardly, ignoring item types, leading to damage and difficulty locating materials, which increases search time. This study aims to improve efficiency by using the Class-Based Storage method to group materials and applying an Activity Relation Chart to plan a new layout based on facility proximity. High-frequency materials are placed in accessible areas, while low-frequency ones are stored farther away. This method reduces average search time by up to 57%, allowing operators to access materials faster, with fewer errors and reduced damage.

Abstract

All businesses must aim to sustain consistent success in the current industry. Increasing productivity is one approach to boost the performance of the industry. Productivity describes the efficiency and effectiveness of the company. Tofu is the main food of the Batam people, but the company's production target does not meet expectations. From August to October 2024, production output will be 1,200,000 pcs, 1,140,000 pcs, and 1,110,000 pcs, respectively, while the company's target is 1,400,000/month. This research aims to find out how productive tofu companies are in Batam City. The method used is Objective Matrix (OMAX). This method is carried out by calculating the productivity criteria ratio, determining the initial standard value and achievement target, determining the value in the body of the matrix, and calculating the productivity index. Then, the criteria were determined using 6 productivity ratios. The data was collected on the tofu machine production floor for three months, from August to October 2024. The data collection and processing results show that the total productivity index of Batam City tofu XYZ companies was at its highest point in August with an index value of 375, while in October, it was at its lowest point with an index value of 310. This shows a linear decrease in productivity. Then, the recommended solution is choosing a good supplier, regular machine maintenance, and establishing good SOPs

Abstract

CV PCP is a manufacturing company that manufactures road construction products. This company produces various types of road construction products, namely rectangular paving blocks, hexagonal paving blocks, 3D paving blocks, curbs, U-Ditch, and kerbstones. At CV PCP, the production planning and inventory control processes are less than optimal, resulting in overstock in the finished goods warehouse. The overstock problem causes storage to exceed warehouse capacity, products to be damaged due to excessive accumulation, and transportation access to be disrupted. This research addresses the overstock of finished goods in the warehouse caused by these factors. The Run Out Time (ROT) method determines the optimal production schedule by considering the production sequence based on the inventory depletion time. From the production planning using the Run Out Time (ROT) method, the average production result over 6 months before ROT was 156,600 pcs, and after the implementation of ROT, the result was 107,136 pcs. With the decrease in production output, the quantity of product stock also experienced a decline. The average product stock before the implementation of ROT was 386,681 pcs. After the implementation of ROT, it was 299,629 pcs, so the product stock did not exceed the maximum warehouse capacity of 345,000 pcs. Because overstock in the warehouse is minimized, the risk of product damage can also be minimized, which affects storage costs that decreased from an average of Rp. 81,216,828 before the implementation of ROT to Rp. 75,613,317 after the implementation of ROT. As a result, the company can also minimize the storage costs of finished products.

Abstract

Electric transmission lines have a vital role as a bridge between electrical energy resources and distribution points to final consumers. In classifying transmissions, aspects such as the installation technology used, the voltage level applied, and the physical channel distance are very influential in ensuring overall operational system efficiency. However, this transmission system does not require various challenges that need to be overcome, such as power losses that can occur during the transmission process, technical problems that can arise at any time, and the risk of too much dependence on main connected lines. Dramatic events such as mass power outages in the Java-Bali region in 2019 show how important it is to increase infrastructure capacity, increasing regular maintenance programs. This research uses a qualitative approach through a literature analysis study which is used to explore issues related to the electricity transmission system in Indonesia, with the research results underlining the need for increased supervision and policy crisis management as well as carrying out stricter maintenance to maximize electricity availability effectively in the future.

Abstract

Power transmission lines play an important role in distributing electrical energy from power plants to consumers. The reliability of transmission lines is very important to ensure a stable and safe electricity supply. However, various disturbances often occur in transmission lines, both caused by external and internal factors, which can disrupt the operation of the electric power system. This study aims to conduct a literature study on the types of disturbances that occur in transmission lines and identify the causative factors. The method used in this study is a literature study by analyzing various references from books, scientific journals, research reports, and relevant articles. This study identifies several main types of disturbances, such as disturbances due to lightning, strong winds, heavy rain, overload, component failure, and human error. Environmental factors, such as extreme weather and interaction with vegetation, are also common causes of disturbances in transmission lines.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of the Heidelberg SM72-FP machine at CV. XYZ to identify and reduce the factors causing downtime that affect productivity. The evaluation was conducted using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and the Six Big Losses. This analysis also includes the use of Pareto and fishbone diagrams to determine repair priorities and the main causes of time loss. The research results show that the average OEE value before implementation was 73.30%, below the JIPM standard of 85%. The dominant factor causing losses is reduced speed losses (12.63%). After implementing the maintenance strategy by applying the 2 pillars of TPM focused maintenance and autonomous maintenance, the OEE value increased to 75.25%. The proposed strategy includes scheduling preventive maintenance, lubrication, routine checks, and troubleshooting for machine monitoring. With this improvement, the company's productivity showed a significant increase of 1.95%.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of preventive maintenance of cubicle substations to improve the reliability of the electricity distribution system at PT Haleyora Powerindo. Cubicle substations, as important components in the distribution network, require special attention to prevent unexpected damage and maintain continuity of electricity supply. This research uses literature study, observation, and interview methods with a focus on the stages of maintenance, such as preparation, implementation, and completion, as well as identification of potential causes of damage such as corona, animals, and moisture. With the proper implementation of maintenance, system reliability can be maintained, reducing the risk of disruption, and improving the quality of service to consumers.

Abstract

PT Menara Riau Perkasa is a company engaged in the rental of heavy equipment. The maintenance process unscheduled mobile crane heavy equipment is quite long within 5 days including overtime and rest hours and 1 day is inspection. Ordering heavy equipment for 6 days so that the company is often in a hurry for the maintenance process. Therefore, optimization of mobile crane maintenance is carried out by measuring the duration of each maintenance process using the Critical Path Method (CPM). This method is used to identify tasks needed in completing the project and determine scheduling flexibility. This method can complete the maintenance process with an effective time of 2.8 days with 8 hours of operation without rest hours and inspection for 1 day so that the total completion is 3.8 days. The use of the CPM method can reduce the maintenance process time because there are 2 main maintenance process activities that can be done at once with limited leeway time for the battery water process and hydraulic repairs.
