Therefore, various efforts are needed so that every couple has the readiness to become parents. On the other hand, Class for Pregnant Women (KIH) is a program aimed at making mothers aware of all information and as a means to learn together about health for pregnant women, in the form of face-to-face in groups. It is necessary to modify the KIH in order to prepare to become a maximum family. The study was conducted at Beber Health Center, Cirebon Regency from March to December 2022 with a quasi-experimental quantitative study in one group (non-random pre-test and post-test without control group design). Sampling was carried out by Total Sampling on the mother of the first child as many as 28 respondents. The activity was carried out 4 times in an attractive manner and got the results that most of the respondents were aged 20-35 years, had elementary school education, did not work, the average score of readiness before the intervention was 34.29 (± 5,437) and before the intervention was 41.67 (± 4,977). there is a difference in the average readiness as a parent before and before the intervention with a p value of 0.001. Based on this research, the Maternity Class with modifications needs to be developed and implemented for mothers of the first child to increase readiness as parentKeywords:  Modification, KIH, Being, Parent

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Febrile seizures are seizures caused by an increase in body temperature above 38oC and not due to an intracranial infection. The incidence of febrile seizures is frequently reported in boys and 2-5% occur at the age of 6-60 months. Simple febrile seizures (SFS) are generalized tonic and/or clonic seizures without focal movement lasting less than 15 minutes and can stop on their own. Complex febrile seizures (CFS) are characterized by focal or focal seizures becoming generalized, recurring within 24 hours and lasting more than 15 minutes. Several risk factors can cause seizures in children such as the child's age, gender, comorbidities, body temperature, family history of seizures, nutritional status, leukocyte count and hemoglobin level. Methods: Analytical observational study with analysis test using Mann-Whitney U to see the difference of two independent samples between simple febrile seizures and complex febrile seizures. Samples were taken by purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: In this study, the results showed that there was no difference in risk factors between simple febrile seizures and complex febrile seizures with a p-value > 0.05. In this study, the results showed that there was no difference in risk factors between simple febrile seizures and complex febrile seizures with a p-value > 0.05. Conclusion: There is no difference in risk factors between simple febrile seizures and complex febrile seizures, but there are risk factors that have a synergistic effect on the occurrence of seizures in children aged 0-60 months.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic poses significant challenges to the collaborative process between health workers. In handling a pandemic, every health professional must collaborate and coordinate with other professionals to produce safe and quality health services. Interprofessional collaboration is a general strategy to achieve the desired quality results effectively and efficiently in improving health services. This study aims to determine the implementation of nurse-doctor collaboration in inpatient rooms based on the perspective of inpatient nurses. This study used a descriptive research approach through a total sampling technique and as many as 151 inpatient nurses at dr. Soebandi Hospital participated as a respondent. Data was collected using a nurse characteristic questionnaire and NPCS (Nurse-Physician Collaboration Scale). Data were analyzed using descriptive methods and categorized as good and bad collaboration. The results showed that 51.7% of nurses had good interprofessional collaboration, and 48.3% reported bad interprofessional collaboration. The results showed that interprofessional collaboration between nurses and doctors showed almost the same results; nearly half of the nurses' perceptions showed results that still needed to be improved. There is a need to increase interprofessional collaboration in all hospital services. Even though the pandemic is a limitation for direct collaboration, collaboration is further enhanced by using supporting communication media, such as by telephone. Good collaboration between doctors and nurses will improve the quality of health services.
