Abstract

Indonesian society is a pluralistic society. The pluralism of society can be seen from the diversity of languages, ethnicities and religions. This pluralism is also reflected in the diverse Karo community in embracing religions such as Christian, Catholic, Islam and ancestral religions. Many religions are believed by Karo community, but the community's stigma still places that Karo community are Protestant Christians. Behind this stigma, there is a community of society whose entire population is Muslim. The villages are Tiga Beringin Village and Simpang Pergendangan Village, Tiga Binanga Sub-district. However, how is the relationship between the community groups well established and why there has never been a problem by the majority Christian population? This article will answer the things mentioned above which tell how the relationship between the community is harmoniously established and conflicts never occur.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the process of enculturation of mask art with a case study in the wooden batik (batik Kayu) enterprise of Bobung Village, Patuk, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. This study method uses a netnographic approach, which in principle is the same as classical ethnography, except that netnography uses the internet as a research media. The data were sourced from informants, places & events, and documents or archives. Data from informants were collected using in-depth online interviews. Place and event data were collected using online participatory observation techniques. In addition, the source documents or archives were collected using data analysis techniques or literature studies on relevant online data. The validity of the data was tested by using informant review techniques and source triangulation. Data were analyzed using flow techniques with data reduction, display, and verification procedures. The results of the study show that the process of enculturation or culture of mask art, both classic masks and creative masks (batik Kayu), is carried out informally (family environment), non-formal (community, UKM, and studio), and formal (learning in schools). This enculturation process is carried out from generation to generation, when the mask is still a classic mask (Panji mask) until the mask develops into a superior product with economic and tourism value as it is today (Creative Mask). The art of batik and classical masks has become the identity of the people of Bobung Village, Gunung Kidul, who have undergone changes in form, function and meaning during the enculturation process from previous generations to the next.

Abstract

Dhikrullah is a strong single sound stimulus not yet applied as a stimulus to invite alpha wave in the brain as a center of human consciousness. Dhikrullah has been practiced among Muslims for more than a thousand years, but research on the function of dhikrullah as a stimulus to the brain waves as the center of human consciousness has not yet been completed. Chapter 2 of al-Anfal verse 2 and chapter ar-Rad verse 28. This study is an academic response to the foundation of discovering science for social change through dhikrullah. Scientific attention to behavior change through vibration stimuli is still very few. The combined data in this study consisted of qualitative data from 4 respondents in order to find the Dhikrullah model and quantitative data from 10 subjects to obtain dhikrullah stimulus samples on subject brain waves through Electro Encephalo Graf (EEG). The results obtained by EEG encourage dhikrullah as vibrations to be carried out as a stimulus to brain waves. Dhikrullah through the audiotory nerve is able to stimulate the brain to present alpha waves on the subject while running the dhikrullah. All subjects stated the difficulty of feeling calm during and after dhikrullah as a basis for behavior change. This study is new because it uses EEG to prove that dhikrullah vibration can be a stimulus for behavior change. Behavioral reviewers, especially practitioners can use dhikrullah as a stimulus to help humans who want to get change easily and cheaply.
