Abstract

This study aims to produce learning media for basic basketball techniques based on Macromedia Flash for X grade high school students that can be used by students as a learning resource independently. The type of research used is research and development (R&D), namely the development of learning materials based on Macromedia Flash. This learning media development model was developed based on the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The subjects of the trial were students of class X SMA Methodist-8 Medan which consisted of small group trials of 15 students and large group trials of 30 students. The instrument used to collect data in this research and development is a questionnaire or questionnaire. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the learning media for basic techniques of basketball based on Macromedia Flash for grade X SMA students were feasible to be used as a learning resource for students. This is indicated by several assessments that have been carried out by media experts, material experts and field trials. The final result of the assessment of the media expert shows that the basic basketball technique is declared "very good" with a percentage of 86% and the results of the assessment of the material expert show the category of "very good" with a percentage of 85%. The results of the small group trial got the "Good" category with a percentage of 90.76% and the results of the large group trial got the good category with a percentage of 95.38%.

Abstract

Anemia is a health problem that often occurs in school-age children. Low iron intake is the most common cause of anemia in children. Anemia has an impact on physical growth disorders and decreased body resistance. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between iron intake and the incidence of anemia in schoolchildren. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design. The Hb examination was carried out to find out the anemia while the iron intake data was assessed by observation on a 24-hour dietary recall. The sample in this study was 80 elementary school children, with a simple random sampling method at five schools in the working area of Air Beliti Public Health Center. The HB examination result showed that 51.2% of respondents had anemia, while the dietary recall showed that 26.2% of children had insufficient iron intake. The statistical test showed that 81.0% of children with insufficient iron intake suffered from anemia. There was a significant relationship between iron intake and the incidence of anemia in elementary school-aged children in the working area of Air Beliti Public Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency (p=0,004; OR=6.198). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between iron intake and the incidence of anemia in schoolchildren. Children with low iron intake are 6.198 times more likely to suffer from anemia. Therefore, it is recommended for parents to maintain a balanced nutritional and iron-rich food intake to prevent the incidence of anemia in children. As for the public health center to improve health education and socialization for parents regarding balanced nutrition and foods containing iron for schoolchildren.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the development of stock values in the mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) using the ratio of profitability, liquidity, and debt to stock returns for 2015–2019 period. Purposive sampling technique was used for data collection with the following criteria: (1) companies listed on the IDX during the observation period (2015–2019) for consecutive years; (2) companies that continually provide financial reports during the observation period (2015-2019); (3) companies that have complete data in accordance with the research variables required in this study. Based on those criteria, the data obtained from the report published by the IDX were comprised of 15 companies as the study samples. Meanwhile, the study used panel data regression with least-squares equation and hypothesis testing using t-statistics to test the partial regression coefficients. Furthermore, f-statistics was used to test the simultaneous effect at the significance level of 5%. Based on the analysis results using software eviews version 10, it revealed that: (1) current ratio had no effect on stock return; (2) return on equity had no effect on stock return; (3) debt to equity ratio had no effect on stock return; (4) earnings per share had no effect on stock return; (5) current ratio, return on equity, debt to equity ratio, earnings per share simultaneously had no effect on stock return.

Abstract

Plants are a source of various types of medicinal chemical compounds, one of which is as an anti-infection where the use of natural plant-based ingredients (herbs) is again a trend among Indonesians. Cleanliness is very important because of the increasing number of diseases that arise due to bacteria and germs. The skin is the part that covers the surface of the body and has the main function of protecting it from various kinds of disturbances and external stimuli. Moringa leaves are natural ingredients that have antibacterial potential. Moringa (Moringa oleifera, Lamk) is a plant that has antibacterial benefits. Staphylococcus Epidermidis is a bacterium that causes various pyogenic and skin infections, separation, abscess formation, and fatal septicemia. This study aims to test the antibacterial activity of Moringa leaves against Staphylococcus Epidermidis. The method used in the extraction of Moringa leaves is maceration using ethanol as a solvent. As for testing, it is known that the moringa leaf extract has antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus Epidermidis at concentrations of 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, and 80% and the minimum inhibitory content (MIC) is 12 mm in Staphylococcus Epidermidis. The difference in the concentration of Moringa leaf extract influenced the inhibition of the growth of Staphylococcus Epidermidis bacteria.
