Abstract

Football is an achievement sport that has special characteristics and physical characteristics for players. A good Vo2max endurance capacity can give an advantage to the athlete's performance when competing on the field. Football in Indonesia tends to have an average Vo2max which is still below the standard. One of the reasons is when adolescent athletes are never used to doing intensive physical exercise so that the training age is still small and it will take a long time to improve. In addition to increasing Vo2max, physical exercise also affects changes in suppressing the pulse. Because when someone with a low resting pulse rate, the endurance to carry out an activity, high-intensity exercise and competition will last longer. The purpose of this study is to find out and compare the effectiveness of the HIIT training method with two different forms or variants with a design according to the principle of load training on basal pulse and Vo2max. This study used a quasi-experimental design with Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design with a sample of 30 divided into 3 groups consisting of 10 athletes in the Shuttle run experimental group, 10 athletes in the around rectangle group and 10 athletes in the control group. Treatment is given within 8 weeks with 3 meetings per week using a Polar H10 device to control exercise intensity. Data analysis using (MANOVA) with the help of the SPSS statistical program. The results showed that the two exercises had a significant effect in improving the pulse p-value 0.001 < 0, 05 in the Shuttle run exercise and Vo2max 0.000 < 0.05, from Around rectangle on pulse p-value 0.000 < 0.05 and Vo2max 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the two exercises is the same as the p-value 1,000 > 0.05. Therefore, HIIT is not based on its form but on its duration and intensity which is monitored using a heat rate check for each exercise.

Abstract

Conflict management is the process by which a conflicting party or third party develops a conflict strategy and implements it to control the conflict to produce the desired solution. This study aims to determine the causes or factors of conflict in BBC New Indonesia's coverage of Sangihe Island. This study uses non-participant observation, where researchers observe research subjects without direct participation. This observation is done by watching the film and reading the contents of the film. Documentary reporting that gold mines on Sangihe Island threaten endemic forests and endangered birds - BBC News Indonesia caught the attention of Indonesians because the video has been viewed more than 200,000 times on their YouTube channel. This shows that the topics presented in the video are interesting and need to be informed to a wide audience. The rejection of PT TMS by the Sangihe community was caused by several factors, among which the Sangihe community did not agree with PT TMS because they wanted to protect and preserve the nature of Sangihe's return.

The results survey this will be used as input and evaluation material for improving the performance of the South Maja Bumdes, Maja District, Majalengka Regency. The results of research conducted by Kurniasih (2014) explained that the poor performance of Bumdes was partly due to the inability of managers to create efficiency, effectiveness, and weak responsiveness. This condition can be seen from the suboptimal local village resources in the management of the Bumdes, as well as the weak participation of the community in the management of the Bumdes. Sofyani, et al. (2019) provides an explanation that the determining factors in improving the performance of Bumdes are the involvement and enthusiasm of the community, the competence of Bumdes managers, education and training for Bumdes managers, honest behavior, good teamwork, good communication, kind, transparent and responsible.

Abstract

We study the effect of political connections on tax avoidance, as well as the role of blockholder ownership in moderating the effect of political connections on tax avoidance. Using panel data of 102 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2016–2019, we find evidence of the positive and significant effect of political connections on tax avoidance. Political connections’ existence within the company could encourage tax avoidance. We also discover that blockholder ownership plays a role in weakening the effect of political connections on tax avoidance in Indonesia, a country with numerous companies having concentrated ownership. The higher the percentage of shares owned by the blockholder, the lower the level of tax avoidance, thus mitigating agency problem II related to entrenchment and expropriation of minority shareholders.

Abstract

This study aims at what types of translation procedures are used in translating the poems of The Sun and Her Flowers, and what makes the translation procedures are applied by the translator in translating the poems of the Sun and Her Flowers. A poem is known as an outstanding literary work because it must convey the poet’s feelings and emotions in a theatrical way and imaginative style. Translating a poem is a crusade for every translator because of its content as literacy works. The poetic discourse has its unique from the common ones; it is form and content which must be independent. The data of this study were taken from The Sun and Her Flowers poem collection entitled ‘the underrated heartache’ written by Rupi Kaur and translated by Ni Made Purnamasari. The theoretical basis of this study is Newmark's (1988:81) translation procedures theory. The results of this study shown that are seven translation procedures, specifically shift or transposition (28,57%) is the most applied because of the differences in the languages system on the SL and TL, followed by modulation (23,81%), synonymy (14,29%), reduction (14,29%), equivalence (9,52%), naturalization (4,79%), and transference (4,79%).
