Abstract

A company will not be able to develop and achieve company goals without the support of human resources. A company if it has good human resources will produce good performance for the company. This study aims to determine the effect of communication and teamwork on employee performance with work stress as a moderating variable. The research method used in this research is quantitative with Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) technique and assisted by SmartPLS 3.0 software. The researcher chose the census technique in the sampling technique, namely employees in a Jakarta company as the sample in this study to examine the moderating effect and the direct influence of the related variables. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of communication on employee performance, teamwork affects employee performance, and work stress affects employee performance, work stress is able to moderate communication on performance and work stress is able to moderate teamwork on employee performance. The method of determining the number of respondents' eligibility uses the Hair method which states that the respondent may be 5 to 10 times the number of research variable indicators.

Abstract

Capital structure is a study that has developed a lot since 1958; the development of this study is to examine the influence of micro and macroeconomics on the company's capital structure. Previous studies in Indonesia confirmed that macroeconomics does not affect capital structure. The situation is different empirically. When the covid-19 pandemic occurs, drug companies experience a significant increase. On this basis, researchers seek to examine the effect of macroeconomics on pharmaceutical companies. This research uses a qualitative approach with a sample of PT. Kimia Farma during the period 2016-2020 using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that inflation and interest rates did not affect capital structure. This confirms that macroeconomics does not influence the company's capital structure under normal or abnormal situations.

This study aims to analyze the effect of electronic word of mouth and website quality on purchase decisions either directly or through online trust mediation. This study took 65 consumers in Samarinda. Determination of the sample by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using partial least squares. The results of the analysis show that electronic word of mouth and website quality have a significant effect on online trust and purchase decisions. The study explains that online trust is able to play an intervening variable between electronic word of mouth and website quality on online trust and purchase decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe breeders who carry out kissar sheep farming activities, as well as analyze the income and profits of farmers. This research was conducted on Kisar Island, Southwest Maluku Regency using a survey method and a purposive sampling of 25 farmers. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively. 52 percent of breeders are aged 31-50 years, 76 percent have an elementary school education, 36 percent of breeders have a business duration of > 21 years, 20 percent have a main job as farmers, and only 4 percent of breeders. The sheep farming business on Kisar Island suffers losses and does not increase income because the labor sacrificed is quite large, and every year there is a decline in the sheep population due to limited capital to expand its business so that it is filled with others because of the family's economic pressure, marketing is still carried out.

Abstract

The existence of teaching materials is important in supporting an effective learning process. For this reason, this study aims to develop an interactive E-Module for engineering subjects in the engineering aspects of household electrical installations. Specifically, this study aims to identify the validity of the developed E-Model and determine student responses to the E-Module. This study follows an interactive multimedia development model with stages that include analysis, design, development, evaluation, and implementation. Research data were collected using observation sheets and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the developed E-Module is proven valid from the validity test results from design experts, media experts, and materials experts. The students' responses at the trial stage of the limited test, small group, and large group also showed that the developed E-Module received positive responses from students regarding material content, convenience, and message clarity. The results of this study are described in this article using the latest theory and empirical data related to the development and use of E-Modules in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of tax and leverage on transfer pricing decisions with institutional ownership as moderating. The population in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The number of samples in this study amounted to 110 observations. This research is classified as quantitative research which is tested using the Moderating Regression Analysis (MRA) analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that taxes have a significant effect on transfer pricing decisions. Leverage has no significant effect on transfer pricing decisions. While the variable of institutional ownership as a moderating factor is not able to moderate the relationship of tax effect on transfer pricing decisions, but institutional ownership is able to moderate the relationship of leverage to transfer pricing decisions. The coefficient of determination is 0.138, which means that 13.8% of the indications that the company is doing transfer pricing is influenced by this variable, while the rest is explained by other variables. This shows that there are still many variables outside the study that can explain transfer pricing.

Based on the forms of speech act used, types of speech act practiced by the caricaturist are direct type of speech act. Politeness principles practiced by the caricaturist observed the maxims of tact, agreement, sympathy, and modesty. Finally, the readers and the caricaturist often have different understanding on the social function of caricature texts. They have different understanding and interpretation on the meanings embedded in both the texts and pictures of the caricatures in relation with constructive criticisms.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out which types of translation techniques are found in subtitling the main characters’ utterances in Little Women (1994) movie and the reason they are applied in the subtitle. This research used a qualitative method to analyze the subtitles. The data are movie transcripts and Indonesian subtitles that were taken from a movie streaming platform called Netflix. The data is analyzed using Molina and Albir’s theory of translation techniques (2002). The result showed that there are fourteen translation techniques applied in the subtitles namely; Adaptation (0.60%), Borrowing (10.26%), Calque (0.30%), Compensation (19.61%), Discursive creation (1.96%), Establish equivalent (8.45%), Generalization (3.17%), Linguistic amplification (4.07%), Linguistic compression (24.13%), Literal translation (13.12%), Modulation (2.26%), Particularization (1.51%), Reduction (7.99%), and Transposition (2.57%). The dominant type is Linguistic compression technique because subtitles have a character limit per line which forces the translator to compress the sentences into a shorter form.

Abstract

Banks as financial institutions can collect funds from the public and channel them back to the community in the form of credit. One of the services provided by BTN KC Banyuwangi is a home financing loan. There are times when credit is disbursed by troubled banks due to various factors, one of which is being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, causing debtor customers to default, so credit restructuring is needed. The question of this research is how to apply the regulation of POJK No. 11/2020 to the restructuring of housing loans at PT BTN KC Banyuwangi and the legal consequences of the restructured credit agreements. This research uses empirical and normative juridical methods, where the application of research is through literature studies, documentation and interviews. Data processing performs editing, coding and analysis. The results of the study concluded that the restructuring of KPR BTN KC Banyuwangi was carried out referring to PBI Number 8/2/2006 and POJK Number 11/2020, namely by taking into account the quality of productive assets, customer good faith and selecting the right rescue strategy target, namely the period of delaying payments for 6 month to 1 year. The legal consequence of the addendum to the financing contract is that it is in addition to the initial financing contract, so that the provision of the initial financing contract is still enforced as a binding condition for the parties.
