Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika is a Scientific Journal published by the Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika of the Teaching and Education Faculty of Halu Oleo University with a period of 4 (four) times a year, namely the January, April, July and November periods. Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika publishes research articles in the field of Physics Education which include Physics Learning Models or Methods, Physics Learning Strategies, Physics Learning Media, ICT in Physics Learning, Physics Literacy Learning, Higher Order Thinking Skill Physics, Physics Learning Materials, with various types of research methods and applied physics. Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika has been published through print media since 2016 with Volume 1, Number 1 in January 2016, and the initial electronic publication for the Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika starting from Volume 5, Number 1 in January 2020. Purpose the existence of this journal is for the publication and dissemination of research results in the field of Physics education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the misconceptions of unidirectional electric circuit material in elementary school students of the city of Kendari using a four-tier test. Sampling uses a purposive sampling technique with the consideration of taking schools that have the same vocational training so that they get 4 classes from the Department of Computer and Network Engineering totaling 110 people. The population of this research is all students of SMK Negeri Kendari City. Data collection was carried out by providing a test instrument in the form of four-tier diagnostic test questions totaling 15 numbers, which were adopted from the 2018 Tami Beniarti questions and interviews. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis to obtain a percentage of concept understanding, misconception, partial understanding, not understanding the concept and cannot be coded to students so that conclusions are obtained: (1) the average percentage of concept understanding is 12.8%, misconceptions are 24.1 %, do not understand the concept of 23.4%, understand partially by 37.5%, and cannot be coded as much as 2.2%, (2) Students' misconceptions of each sub-concept are successively electric current and potential difference (34) , 24%), electrical resistance and circuit resistance (23.94%), simple circuit analysis (17.88%), Ohm's law (21.82%), and Kirchoff's law (22.73%), (3) percentage of misconceptions among students in each vocational high school namely at SMKN 1 Kendari the percentage of misconceptions was 18.0%, for SMKN 3 Kendari the percentage of misconceptions was 19.7%, for SMKN 4 Kendari the percentage of misconceptions was 29.9%, whereas for SMKN 5 Kendari the percentage of misconceptions of 29.3%. Overall the percentage obtained for each school is of low category.

Abstract

This study aims to : (1) describe the learning activities of students in learning science especially in the study of physics on the subject matter of light and optical devices in students of class VIII Togomangura Satap Junior High School taught through the guided inquiry learning model; (2) describing the improvement of science learning outcomes in the study of the physical subject matter of light and optical devices in grade VIII students of Togomangura Satap Junior High School which are taught through guided inquiry learning models; (3) describe the increase in completeness of natural science learning, especially in the physics study of eighth grade students of Togomangura Satap Junior High School who are taught by applying the guided inquiry learning model. The subjects of this study were all eighth grade students of Togomangura Public Middle School with 18 students, consisting of 11 men and 7 women. The data collection technique was carried out by observation and student learning achievement test in the form of a description test. Data analysis techniques using descriptive  statistics. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that: (1) the learning activities of students by applying the guided inquiry learning model in each cycle tend to increase and improve in each unit of student activity. This is indicated by the acquisition of an average score of cycle I of 2,6 which belongs to the sufficient category and increased in cycle II to 3,8 which belongs to the good category; (2) science learning outcomes of students in class VIII Togomagura Satpap can be improved by applying the guided inquiry learning model to the subject matter of light and optical devices, where in cycle I is obtained an average value of 59,2 with a standard deviation of 22,9 and at cycle II obtained an average value of 65,6 with a standard deviation of 23,4; (3) completeness of science learning for students of class VIII Togomagura Satpap Junior High School taught through the use of guided inquiry learning models in each cycle tends to increase, where in cycle I the percentage of mastery learning outcomes is 27,8 % and in cycle II is 66,7 % .

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran literasi sains yang dimiliki guru IPA SMP Negeri teknologi yang dimiliki guru IPA SMP Negeri dan Swasta se- Kecamatan Poasia Kota Kendari. Teknik analisis data yang digubakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif. Berdasakan hasil penelitian kemampuan literasi sains guru IPA SMP Negeri dan Swasta se-Kecamatan Poasia, Kota Kendari secara umum berada pada kategori rendah dengan presentase rata-rata sebesar 56,9% dengan standard deviasi 12,3%. Sedangkan kemampuan literasi teknologinya secara umum berada pada kategori cukup dengan presentase rata-rata sebesar 69% dengan standard deviasi 9%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VIIIE SMP Negeri  4  Buton Tengah yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi cahaya dan alat optik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK yang telah dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa, terdiri dari 13 laki-laki dan 9 perempuan yang terdaftar pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dan tes essay dilakukan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan yakni keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada siklus I meningkat pada tiap indikatornya di siklus II, dengan nilai rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis pada siklus I sebesar 45,68 yang berada pada kategori rendah dan nilai rerata keterampilan berpikir kritis pada siklus II sebesar 70,23 yang berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyaknya peserta didik yang hanya menghafal konsep dan kurang mampu menggunakan konsep tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu adanya anggapan dari peserta didik bahwa pelajaran IPA khususnya fisika sulit dipahami sehingga peserta didik cenderung malas dan kurang berminat dalam menerima pelajaran maupun mengerjakan tugas sehingga aktifitas peserta didik dalam kelas tergolong rendah. Untuk mengatasinya maka dipilih model pemebelajaran berbasis masalah karena model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat memberikan permasalahan fisika yang erat kaitannya dengan kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga peserta didik dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. .Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 15 Kendari yang terdaftar pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 97 orang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII4 sebanyak 24 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII3 sebanyak 24 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik yang telah divalidasi dan memenuhi kriteria sebagai tes yang baik. Data penelitian dianalisis secara statistic, deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian: 1) gambaran hasil tes awal kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik kelas eksperimen pada materi pokok cahaya yaitu diperoleh nilai rata-rata 13,89 dan standar deviasi 3,33 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata  12,90 dan standar deviasi 2,32 hasil tes akhir peserta didik kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata 63,01 dan standar deviasi 13,36 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 50,46 dan standar deviasi 16,9; 2) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berdasarkan nilai signifikan 0,296 lebih besar dari α = 0,05; 3) nilai rata-rata hasil tes akhir kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada nilai rata-rata hasil tes akhir kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik kelas kontrol berdasarkan nilai signifikan 0,016 lebih kecil dari α = 0,05; dan 4) nilai rata-rata N-Gain kemampuan pemecahan peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada nilai rata-rata N-Gain kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik kelas kontrol berdasarkan nilai signifikan 0,027 lebih kecil dari α = 0,05.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih baik digunakan dibandingkan model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi cahaya dan alat optikkelas VIII

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran akan lebih interaktif jika terdapat sumber belajar yang dapat membantu guru untuk menarik perhatian peserta didik dan menumbuhkan semangat untuk belajar. Salah satu sumber belajar yang dimaksud adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan media pembelajaran Fisika. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Research and Development yang mengacu pada model ADDIE yaitu (analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation). Media pembelajaran Fisika tersebut divalidasi oleh 2 (dua) orang ahli pembelajaran dengan rata-rata nilai 84,37%, 2 (dua) orang ahli materi dengan rata-rata nilai 76,56% dan 2 (dua) orang ahli media dengan rata-rata nilai 77,77%, serta tanggapan dari 2 orang guru deangan rata-rata nilai 93,18% dan 20 peserta didik SMAN 2 Kolaka setelah uji coba terbatas dengan rata-rata nilai 81,2%. Jika dilihat dari hasil validasi ahli pembelajaran, ahli materi dan ahli media, maka media pembelajaran Fisika menggunakan Adobe Flash Professional CS6 yang dihasilkan dapat dikategorikan “valid” dan dilihat dari hasil tanggapan guru dan uji coba terbatas pada peserta didik dapat dikategorikan “praktis”.

Abstract

Activity learning is student activities during learning. Active learning is learning that supply and provides an opportunity for students to learn on their own or their activities that have an impact on learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to describe the activity and student learning outcomes by applying the model of discovery learning. The research sample is Class X MIPA Public High School 1 Piyungan. This type of research is classroom action research consisted of two cycles of cycle 1 and cycle 2. Data collection techniques are using observation sheets and test sheets, As for the data analysis using descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis that studied physics Increased activity class X MIPA Public High School 1 Piyungan with discovery learningon the measurement of physical quantities in the academic year 2019/2020 of the first cycle in the first meeting and the second meeting was increased from 88.5% to 93.0%, i.e. 4.50%. In the second cycle increased from 92.1% to 97.0% there was an increase of 4.90. Improved physics learning outcomes of students of class X MIPA Public High School 1 Piyungan with discovery learning(DL) on the material for measuring physical quantities in the academic year 2019/2020 in cycle I to cycle II from 61% to 77.8% experiencing an increase of 16.8%. Improved learning outcomes show that the application of discovery learningcan be fun and make students interested and interested in learning.

Abstract

Laboratorium pembelajaran fisika memiliki peranan penting di antaranya untuk memberikan pengalaman nyata kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesiapan laboratorium pada pembelajaran fisika di SMK Negeri Se-Kabupaten Kolaka. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode survey.  Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh SMK Negeri di Kabupaten  Kolaka yang belajar fisika. Fokus penelitian ini mengkaji empat indikator yaitu personil laboratorium, regulasi laboratorium, kesiapan fasilitas sarana dan prasaran laboratorium, serta pemanfaatan laboratorium. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 9 sekolah personil laboratoriunya  tidak memiliki sertifikat laboran. Terdapat  4 yang memiliki tata tertib dan jadwal praktikum serta 3 sekolah yang memilki struktur organisasi. Untuk kesiapan fasilitas sarana dan prasarana laboratorium  memperoleh nilai sebesar 61,88 % dengan kategori siap akan tetapi tidak di manfaatkan dengan baik.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze: (1) the influence of parents' socio-economic status on chemistry learning achievement, (2) the effect of learning motivation on chemistry learning achievement, (3) differences in motivation for learning coastal students with students in Watershed, (4) differences in learning achievement of coastal students with students in Watersheds. The location of this research is the SMAN in Konawe District. This type of research is associative research and data collection tools use questionnaires and student learning outcomes report cards. The population is 385 students. Sampling was done by proportional random sampling technique, with a sample of 193 people. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and multiple regression. The results showed: (1) parents' socio-economic status towards chemistry learning achievement by 18%; (2) learning motivation towards chemistry learning achievement by 29%; (3) there are differences in motivation to learn coastal students with students in Watersheds, (4) there are differences in learning achievement of coastal students with students in Watersheds. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that parents' socio-economic status and motivation had an influence on the high school chemistry learning achievement in Konawe District.

Abstract

This Community Service activity intended as an effort to improve the quality of learning and professionalism of teacher in Junior High School Tahdizul Qur'an Muadz bin Jabal Kendari by using training activities to improve the ability to implement innovative learning through Classroom Action research (CAR). CAR is intended to achieve several output targets which include: 1) Increase the understanding of teacher in Junior High School Tahdizul Qur'an Muadz bin Jabal Kendari about CAR concepts and practices to maximize self-evaluation as part of the teacher professional competency development process; 2)Improve teacher understanding of CAR concepts and practices; 3) Reducing the teaching quality gap between schools partner with other schools that qualified in air-CAR for their share of problems, exchange ideas and experiences, trials with, frank discussion between a teacher and a team of science and technology, and adjustment of the solution to the institutional structures and informal practices; 4) For schools, if the teacher in  Junior High School Tahdizul Qur'an Muadz bin Jabal Kendari can conduct Classroom Action Research (CAR), then student learning outcomes will improve so that it hoped that the quality of the school would also increase.  At this time PKM produced seven titles of CAR proposals provided by the teacher in Junior High School Tahdizul Qur'an Muadz bin Jabal Kendari who were ready to be submitted to the Action level
