Abstract

The development of ceramic design is one of product development efforts that purpose to improve the quality and quantity of ceramic products manufactured by Pann Craft in Wuryorejo Wonogiri. The product quality intended related to product visualization, while the products quantity related to the effectivness and efficiency production process. The design development was obtained by applying the method of interviews and observations that are implemented with training and mentoring approach to participatory-explorative. It was obtained by applying the techniques of printing and innovative finishing techniques, expected to answer the demands of Pann Craft in the development of ceramic products it produces. The development of ceramic products that has been done produce various products with a variety of themes, form, function and dimensions, and colors.Keywords: products, development, design, ceramics

Abstract

The purpose of science and technology for the Community Service is to provide training to apply the method of waste water treatment EcoTech garden for ease of processing of domestic wastewater for communities Jebres. Training provided through four stages: (1) preparation, (2) understanding of waste treatment (3) implementation of (4) the evaluation by the method of presentation, demonstration, and practice. These activities will provide the knowledge and skills of people in processing the domestic wastewater they produce every day. Wastewater treatment using EGA is one of the treatment options appropriate given the characteristics of the waste water gray water with a relatively small organic load as well as nitrogen and phosphate are quite high. This service activities contribute to provide convenience to the public in treating domestic wastewater they produce every day through methods EcoTech garden. Thus, people will have a good knowledge of how the processing of domestic wastewater.Keywords: ecotech garden, waste water treatment.

Abstract

Wunut Village is located in Tulung Sub-District, Klaten Regency which has the horticultural potential such as tomato and chili. But the huge potential has not been able to lift the economy of the village community. Therefore the community devotion team of Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University chose Wunut Village as the target village. The problems faced by farming communities in Wunut Village are (1) production of chili and tomatoes are abundant, but the selling price is relatively low; (2) the large number of poor people; (3) lack of knowledge and community insight about entrepreneurship in the field of food; (4) interest in entrepreneurship is still lacking in society; And (5) the difficulty of marketing the resulting product. The solutions offered by the community devotion team are through training activities and the introduction of tomato processing technology into “torakur”; Training and introduction of production process technology of shredded pepper; Entrepreneurship training and food industry management; Information technology-based marketing training and direct selling strategies. In order to support these activities, aids were also provided to improve the quality of the chakra and the resulting chili pepper. Equipment provided in the form of cabinet dryer, dry mill, and packer sealer. The result of this activity in the form of introduction of tomato processing technology into “torakur”, and processing of chili into shredded chili has been done well, with products that can be accepted by society and have a big prospect to be developed.Keywords:entreprenuership, quality, torakur, shredded chili, Wunut Village

Abstract

Peningkatan Ekonomi Rumah Tangga Melalui Budidaya Sayuran Organik Berbasis Kemitraan dan Berwawasan Lingkungan di Kelurahan Jebres Surakarta dimaksudkan untuk memberikan salah satu alternatif bagi pemenuhan kebutuhan sayuran organik yang sehat bagi keluarga di wilayah Kelurahan Jebres Surakarta. Kegiatan tersebut dimaksudkan selain pemenuhan terhadap kebutuhan sayuran yang sehat, tetapi secara ekonomis juga memberikan manfaat terhadap penghematan pengeluaran belanja sehari-hari khususnya sayuran. Di sisi yang lain, budidaya tanaman sayuran organik yang sehat, segar dan hijau memberikan dampak positif terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya yang semakin asri dan sehat. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini melibatkan ibu-ibu PKK di wilayah Kelurahan Jebres termasuk ibu-ibu PKK RW 10 Jebres Surakarta sebagai salah satu mitra dalam berbudidaya sayuran organik. Ibu-ibu PKK RW 10 Jebres Surakarta nantinya akan memperoleh ilmu praktis tentang budidaya sayuran organik yang dapat diaplikasikan dikemudian hari. Disamping itu peserta akan memperoleh bekal bertanam yang berupa media tanam dan benih sayur, misalnya: sawi, kangkung atau selada.

Abstract

Children are the gift of God the Almighty, the jewel of the hearts of parents and the future of the Nation. Parents are obliged to guide, educate and seek their welfare as much as possible. As a form of guidance and education sought, it is non-formal education in the family environment and formal in the school environment. Parents hope that their sons and daughters get good education from competent kindergarten teachers. Community service is carried out in two partner institutions, namely BA. Aisyiah Bulakrejo II and TK Desa Sidorejo 03 which are located in the Sukoharjo sub-district area. The purpose of this community service is to help school institutions improve the pedagogical skills of kindergarten teachers, so they can be more qualified in delivering teaching and learning materials in the classroom. The limited operational funds that are often experienced by the two TK schools, resulting in insufficient availability of game equipment, to be equal to the number of students The target that has been achieved is the creation of interactive learning models, with 1) Conducting teaching media technology workshops for kindergarten teachers, 2) Train teacher skills in making used APE materials, 3) Create APE marketing media and learning media through the website http://peragaedukatif.web.id/web/wp-login.php. This program is able to make the creativity of kindergarten teachers in learning more interesting and easy to understand. The proliferation of informatics technology provides opportunities for kindergarten teachers to be able to design and create multimedia interactive learning models.

Abstract

The IbM aims at improving the ability of management SME I (Saikem SMEs ) and SME II (Satino SMEs) in making tempe and tempe chips in Jatisrono Wonogiri. The improvement of management capabilities are: ability to produce products with sanitation and food safety, packaging and labeling as well as bookkeeping. Evaluation and indicator for both SMEs in this program include (1) increasing participant's knowledge of the theories that have been given about the product tempe and tempe chips (2) increasing the participant’s skills towards the introduction of tools and assistance on the application of sanitary and food safety  packaging and labeling as well as  capability of bookkeeping. Pretest result is globally as follows : Saikem SMEs = 66.67 , Satino SMEs = 70 and average = 68.34. Post test results for  both SMEs has average = 100. The improvement of knowledge for Saikem SMEs is 49,93 % and for Satino SMEs is 42.86% or the is average= 46.40 %.. The Performance of IbM”s tool assistance for Saikem SMEs is 5 Kg / min (form of soy husk peeler), while that of Satino SMEs is 15 slices of tempe with an average of thickness of 0.2 cm for the tempe chopper. Average production of tempe on SaikemSMEs after soy husk peeler has been given is 27.5 % , while the production of tempe chips SatinoSMEs after tempe chopper has been given is 25 % . Both SMEs (Saikem SMEs and Satino SMEs) are able to perform the bookkeeping..

Abstract

The quality of human resources will increase with the mastery of science and technology. The school is obliged to provide a forum for developing these competencies, eg extracurricular. Extracurricular field which has been developed is the field of Scientific Work of Youth (KIR). KIR much in demand by students. However, as long as this assistance is only focused on the pattern of writing and scientific writing course content. In fact, there are other indicators that determine, for example: a scientific presentation skills and communicative. Formulation of the problem in this activity is how the application of scientific presentation training to improve competitiveness in scientific writing competition for members of the KIR extracurricular in Semarang? This activity was conducted in SMA Negeri 2 Semarang, Friday, October 21, 2016. The training was attended by 30 participants. The activities carried out by the method of the workshop in the form of materials, modeling, discussion, practice, and assessment. The results of these highly optimized service programs in an understanding of the importance of scientific presentations competence. All participants started practicing continuous scientific presentations. Abstract

Concrete brick is a kind of non structural brick which can be used for street, parking lot, sidewalk, park and another necessity. Concrete brick is made of the mixture of portland cement type one, water and aggregate as the filler materials. The ussage of concrete brick is more eco friendly compared with brick, moreover the ussage of concrete brick grows rapidly, especially in Solo lately because of the rapid growth of housing estate and bisnis area.Observing the expansion of the concrete brick necessity so Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) workshop develop it to concrete brick entrepreneurship program. This program was aimed through college entrepreneurship which is managed by the unversity students to study about entrepreneurhip. The college developing program are entrepreneurship training for the students, form a concrete brick production unit, incubation of the concrete brick bisnis and creating a new entrepreneur as the result. PTB workshop has and enough place for the development of the college entrepreneur. From the result of entrepreneurship activity the students can develop cncrete brick bisnis unit so it can be used as a additional income.The result of college entrepreneurship activity has made a concrete brick bisnis unit and management office in Pabelan Campus UNS. This activity is involving ten university students from various major, mostly from PTB major. There are two kinds of concrete brick that has been made; Rejal concrete brick and hollow concrete brick. Six hundred concrete brick has been made with the size 10 cm x 15 cm x 30 cm and 10 cm x 20 cm x 40 cm. Abstract

Adolescence is prone to deviations and impropriety should be grown a sense of creativity. Creativity of students to be skilled in making VCO so that will grow entrepreneurship spirit for students. Skills in the way of making VCO is expected to increase students' creativity and applied in economic activities to increase student income. The solution offered from the problems that have been mentioned above, then training the manufacture of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is very necessary. Program activities offered in the form of socialization or introduction of VCO products produced both from the benefits and advantages they have compared with other similar products, and there is also a demonstration later in the making of VCO and explanation of how the right and proper marketing. Implementation of community service is specifically a promotive effort in the field of business development to create skilled and productive student students in producing a health product that can later be utilized both for themselves, the family and the surrounding community. Community service activities, also relevant to economics and business, where the product will be marketed so that this can be an income or additional income for local students. The participants' response to this counseling is quite high, indicated by the attendance rate of 80% of the number of invitations. Understanding high school students and SMK Mutiara to the benefits and content of VCO and how to manufacture the correct VCO using this simple and cheap enzymatic method was responded with great enthusiasm by the participants.

Abstract

Desa Wisata Samiran sudah dirintis sejak tahun 2006, berada di dataran tinggi lereng Merbabu-Merapi atau di lembah Gunung Merbabu-Merapi memiliki panorama alam yang indah dan udara  sejuk. Secara administrasi berada diwilayah Kecamatan Selo Kabupaten Boyolali Propinsi Jawa Tengah, mempunyai luas 663,329 ha dengan elevasi 1.400-2.550 m dpl, jenis tanah andosol/andisols (lereng Merbabu) dan regosol/entisols (lereng Merapi). Dataran tinggi dengan tanah andosol secara agroklimat cocok/sesuai untuk pengembangan beraneka agrowisata, yaitu :  tanaman  perkebunan (teh dan kopi Arabika), tanaman buah (tledung, apel dan jeruk), tanaman hias, serta sayuran.  Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan  untuk perintisan pendampingan pada kelompok tani di Desa Wisata Samiran.  Jenis kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pengumpulan data/informasi yang berkaitan dengan “Profil Desa Wisata Samiran”, yaitu meliputi : (1) pengumpulan data/informasi kondisi agroklimat dan jenis usahatani;  (2) pengumpulan data/informasi keberadaan dan kegiatan kelompok tani; serta (3) pengumpulan data/informasi keberadaan obyek wisata di wilayah Desa Wisata Samiran. Target dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diperoleh Profil Desa Wisata Samiran yang nantinya dapat digunakan sebagai data dasar untuk pengembangan agrowisata di Desa Wisata Samiran, khususnya sebagai peningkatan atensi akademisi program pendampingan/pengabdian masyarakat dari Grup Riset Pengelolaan DAS dan Agroekosistem, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sebelas Maret, serta para pihak yang berminat.
