Abstract

Minang or Minangkabau is an ethnic cultural group that adheres to a distinctive customary system, namely a family system according to female lineage which is called the matrilineal system. In Minangkabau culture, marriage is one of the important events in the life cycle and is a very significant transitional period in forming a small group of new families to continue the lineage. For the Minangkabau people who are Muslim, marriages are carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage. There are 2 (two) types of marriages for the Minangkabau indigenous people, namely: 1) Ideal marriage, namely marriage between close families such as children from nephews; 2) Abstinence marriage, namely marriage that cannot be carried out like the child of a mother or father. There are 2 (two) marriage procedures for the Minangkabau indigenous people, namely: 1) Marriage according to female relatives, namely the woman who is the initiator in marriage and in household life, from starting to find a mate to carrying out the marriage; 2) Marriage according to male relatives, namely the man who is the initiator in marriage and households, from starting to find a mate to carrying out the marriage and daily living expenses. The form of marriage in Minangkabau has changed according to the times. Previously, a husband meant nothing in the wife's family, now it is the husband who is responsible for his family

Abstract

Sikambang Art Research in the Study of Cultural Reception of the Coastal Communities of Sibolga City with the aim of knowing the opinions of the Sibolga coastal communities about their own Sikambang Art culture, what causes Sikambang art on the coast of Sibolga City to be underdeveloped, and the function of Sikambang Arts in Sibolga coastal communities. However, this Sikambang art is still found on the coast of Sibolga City. This research is expected to increase the interest of young people in Sibolga City, because there are also few other writings that talk about the art of Sikambang. Indeed, there are some writings, but they do not really lead to public opinion. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which includes several aspects, namely observation, interviews, documentation, data analysis, with data reduction, data presentation, data verification and literature study. The population in this study are Sikambang art artists who are still active on the coast of Sibolga City and the sample of this study is the coastal community of Sibolga City as connoisseurs of Sikambang art performances. The research is written with the survey results in accordance with the facts

Abstract

Gerhana merupakan proses tertutupnya bulan atau matahari oleh benda langit yang melintas di depannya. Perubahan warna bulan dan matahari saat terjadinya gerhana ini merupakan ilusi warna. Ilusi warna tidak berbicara tentang kebenaran, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti intensitas cahaya, intensitas warna, dan warna benda di sekitarnya. Dari hal tersebut, pencipta terinspirasi menciptakan karya busana dengan konsep ilusi warna yang terinspirasi dari gerhana dengan judul Kapangan. Penciptaan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan karya seni yang memadukan pengetahuan ilmiah dan fashion yang bergaya edgy dramatic dan street dramatic. Penciptaan ini menggunakan metode Hawkins, yaitu eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan pembentukan. Pada tahap eksplorasi proses penciptaan dimulai dengan membuat mindmap, menentukan kata kunci, dan membuat moodboard. Tahap improvisasi dibagi menjadi dua yaitu improvisasi medium dan improvisasi visual. Improvisasi media merupakan tahap menentukan alat, material, dan teknik. Sedangkan improvisasi visual merupakan tahap eksperimen dan mengembangkan konsep menjadi desain dan gambar kerja. Tahap pembentukan, proses terumit dalam menciptakan karya, pencipta melakukan pewujudan karya yang dilanjutkan dengan konsep hasil karya berupa photoshoot, publikasi, dan fashion show. Kapangan terdiri atas koleksi busana Candra Kapangan sebagai pemvisualisasian gerhana bulan dan Surya Kapangan sebagai pemvisualisasian gerhana matahari. Koleksi Candra Kapangan terdiri atas tiga look busana, yaitu Gerhana Bulan Total, Gerhana Bulan Sebagian, dan Gerhana Bulan Penumbra. Koleksi Surya Kapangan terdiri atas empat look busana, yaitu Gerhana Matahari Total, Gerhana Matahari Sebagian, Gerhana Matahari Cincin, dan Gerhana Matahari Hibrida. Penciptaan ini merupakan penggabungan antara pengetahuan ilmiah dan fashion dengan mengadopsi teori warna Bezolt Effect dan Chubb Illusion. Candra Kapangan terdiri dari warna hitam, abu tua, abu muda, dan abu kebiruan. Sedangkan Surya Kapangan terdiri atas warna kuning, biru, dan hitam.Ilusi warna direpresentasikan dengan menggunakan bentuk lingkaran yang menghasilkan perubahan warna berdasarkan intensitasnya. Kata Kunci: Gerhana; Bezolt Effect; Chubb Illusion; Fashion KontemporerABSTRACTAn eclipse is the process by which the moon or sun is covered by a celestial body that passes in front of it. The change in the color of the moon and sun at the time of this disaster is an illusion of color. Color illusion does not speak the truth, it is influenced by several factors such as light intensity, color intensity, and the color of the objects around it. From this, the creators were inspired to create fashion works with the concept of color illusion inspired by the title Kapangan. This creation aims to create works of art that combine scientific knowledge and fashion in an edgy dramatic and street dramatic style. This creation uses the Hawkins method, namely exploration, improvisation, and shaping. In the exploration stage, the creation process starts with creating a mindmap, determining keywords, and creating a moodboard. The stages of improvisation are divided into two, namely media improvisation and visual improvisation. Improvised media is the determining stage of tools, materials, and techniques. Meanwhile, visual improvisation is the experimental stage and develops concepts into designs and working drawings. The formation stage, the most complicated process in creating a work, the creator carries out the embodiment of the work followed by the conceptualization of the work in the form of photoshoots, publications and fashion shows. Kapangan consists of the Candra Kapangan fashion collection as a visualization of the cold weather of the moon and Surya Kapangan as a visualization of the sun's weather. The Candra Kapangan collection consists of three fashion looks, namely a total lunar eclipse, a partial lunar eclipse, and a penumbral lunar eclipse. The Surya Kapangan collection consists of four fashion looks, namely Total Solar Eclipse, Partial Solar Eclipse, Ring Solar Eclipse, and Hybrid Solar Eclipse. This creation is a combination of scientific knowledge and the art of Fashion by adopting the Bezolt Effect and Chubb Illusion color theories. Candra Kapangan consists of black, dark gray, light gray, and bluish gray. While Surya Kapangan consists of yellow, blue and black. Abstract

Tulisan ini membicarakan teknik bernyanyi seriosa pada lagu Cintaku Jauh di Pulau karya F. X. Soetopo. Lagu tersebut dari puisi karya Chairil Anwar yang ditulis tahun 1946. Pada tahun 1985, F. X. Soetopo mengaransemen puisi tersebut dalam sebuah lagu seriosa. Lagu ini menceritakan tentang kisah cinta seorang pria kepada seorang gadis dengan menjalin hubungan jarak jauh. Seorang penyanyi tenor bernama Christopher Abimanyu pertama kali membawakan lagu tersebut di Bentara Budaya Jakarta. Gaya atau teknik bernyanyi yang dibawakan oleh Christopher adalah gaya nyanyian yang lebih menekankan pada penggunaan dinamika (messa di voce) sebagai sumber utama ekspresi keindahan dan penjiwaan saat bernyanyi serta teknik artikulasi, intonasi, dan teknik vokal. Penulis melakukan pengembangan teknik bernyanyi pada lagu Cintaku Jauh di Pulau yaitu penggunaan improvisasi ostinato (riff) terdapat di birama 5 dengan nada berulang-ulang pada ketukan ke-2 dan pentatonik pelog terdapat di birama 12-13 yang dimulai ketukan ke-2 dimulai dengan nada 1-2-4-5-6 (do-re-fa-sol-la) dengan interval melangkah naik, dan juga di birama 22-23 dimulai ketukan ke-3 dimulai dari nada 6-5-4-2-1 (la-sol-fa-re-do) dengan interval melangkah turun. Lagu Cintaku Jauh di Pulau merupakan lagu yang tergolong ke dalam bentuk lagu 5 bagian A-B-B’-C-D-A’ dengan urutan kalimat A (a,b), B (x,y), B’ (x’,y’), C (c,d), D (xx,yy), A’ (a, b’). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh berupa observasi melalui YouTube (https://youtu.be/QRVL9vcaQBo), studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mempertunjukkan lagu tersebut dalam bentuk penampilan secara langsung di Taman Yenny Hendra Bundaran Nommensen, 2) Menggunakan teknik improvisasi ostinato dan pentatonik pelog, 3) Analisis bentuk lagu Cintaku Jauh di Pulau.Kata Kunci: Cintaku Jauh di Pulau; F.X Soetopo; Analisis;EkspresiAbstractThis paper discusses seriosa singing techniques in the song Cintaku Jauh di Pulau Pulau by F. X. Soetopo. The song is taken from Chairil Anwar's poem which was written in 1946. In 1985, F. X. Soetopo arranged the poem to become a seriosa song. This song tells about the love story of a man and a girl who are in a long-distance relationship. The tenor named Christopher Abimanyu performed the song for the first time at Bentara Budaya Jakarta. Christopher's singing style or technique is a singing style that places more emphasis on the use of dynamics (messa di voce) as the main source of expression of beauty and soul when singing as well as articulation techniques, intonation and vocal techniques. The author develops a technique for singing the song Cintaku Jauh di Pulau, namely the use of ostinato (riff) improvisation and pelog pentatonic according to the ability of a presenter. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data obtained are in the form of observations via YouTube (https://youtu.be/QRVL9vcaQBo), literature studies, and documentation. Abstract

Iklan layanan masyarakat merupakan iklan yang dibuat untuk mengedukasi atau memberikan pemahaman terhadap suatu hal yang ditujukan kepada seluruh lapisan masyarakat, tujuan utama ikan lanyanan masyarakat ialah memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai suatu hal yang bersipat mengajak dan memberi tahu masyarakat akan suatu informasi tanpa menjual suatu produk maupun jasa. Permainan tradisional Secara tidak langsung, anak akan di asah kreativitas, ketangkasan, jiwa kepemimpinan, kecerdasan, dan keluasan wawasannya melalui permainan tradisional, namun saat ini permainan tradisional mulai menghilang dari kehidupan anak-anak di indonesia khususny di perkotaan, digantikan dengan permainan yg ada di gatged seperti game-game online. Tahap perancangan ini dibangun berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya, data digunakan untuk memunculkan ide dan gagasan dalam mendesain karnya iklan layanan masyarakat pengenalan permainan tradisional kepada masyarakat. Tahapan Perwujutan Tahapan ini bermula dari pembuatan sketsa atau gambar manual desain iklan layanan masyarakat pengenalan permainan tradisional, mulai dari perancangan poster, sepanduk, brosur, ganci dan yang lainnya

Abstract

The tradition of the Si Muntu procession is an integral part of the cultural life of the people of West Sumatra. However, like local traditions in various regions in Indonesia, the Si Muntu Procession has also experienced significant development and transformation in the face of globalization. This article aims to understand the development and transformation of this tradition in the context of globalization by conducting a case study in West Sumatra. Using library data and field data, all analyzes were carried out descriptively.

Abstract

Menganalisis Dampak Teater Ekologi terhadap Kesadaran Publik dan Perubahan PerilakuThis study aims to explore the role of ecotheatre in raising environmental awareness and promoting behavior change through a case study of the theatrical performance "Gestur Sungai" staged at the Lambah Sani Festival in 2021. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this research analyzes how narrative elements, acting, and natural settings in the performance contribute to the effectiveness of ecological communication. The results show that the performance successfully enhanced the audience's understanding of environmental issues and motivated them to take more proactive actions in preserving the environment. These findings affirm that ecotheatre can be an effective tool in environmental advocacy, especially when the audience's emotional and intellectual engagement is involvedAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran ecoteater dalam meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan mendorong perubahan perilaku melalui studi kasus pertunjukan teater "Gestur Sungai" yang dipentaskan dalam Festival Lambah Sani tahun 2021  Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana elemen-elemen naratif, akting, dan setting alam dalam pertunjukan berkontribusi pada efektivitas komunikasi ekologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertunjukan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman penonton tentang isu-isu lingkungan dan memotivasi mereka untuk mengambil tindakan yang lebih proaktif dalam menjaga lingkungan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa ecoteater dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam advokasi lingkungan, terutama ketika elemen emosional dan intelektual penonton terlibat.

Abstract

Rapa 'i is a traditional membrane day instrument that exists to this day. As rapa 'i progressed, events in the past inspired the creation of kriya's art. One of these phenomena is that most of the people today do not know that rapa 'i is the present medium because of the islamiah and as a medium for the past, so that no doubt of rapa 'i can be, as well as whether rapa 'i is being played on the holy moon of maulid the prophet. The phenomenon felt by researchers is an inspiration for the creation of art with the concept of symbolic expression. Applying the symbolic expression concept to moda disformation and stilisation. Applied moda disformation in rapa 'i's circular baloeh (frame), suncave and line ornaments. Moda stilisation applied isa ornamentation of calligraphic motif in the field of work. This method of creation by means of various stages, including the stages of exploration, experiment, reflection and formation. The basic materials used in this work are surian wood and tissue paper. The selection of a wooden medium used had an elevating density. The technique used in the creation of the work is the bevel of section 20 and engraving. Tenik finishing used was laminating techniques and deep-texture techniques

Abstract

 Penerapan Virtual Reality (Vr) dalam  Karya Tari Kontemporer “ Sabitah Eternity ”  SABITAH ETERNITY's work is a dance work that tries to be a bridge to connect education to the audience watching this work. The aim is to increase theaudience's sense of empathy and social towards those who are trying to adapt to an era that is often considered an issue that until now is still not very popular. is heavily questioned as a complicated social phenomenon, in this case the Talang Mamak tribe and its Bedukun Balai Terbang treatment rituals. The artist tries to convey how the Talang Mamak people and their healing rituals can go through various situations and conditions towards modern times and adapt in it. This is for the sake of the continuity of culture and community groups, as well asphase of change and response of the Bedukun Balai Terbang ritual performers. In this case the negotiating body of tribal society towards the present era. The use of expression and technology as a medium of communication means that we never know what everyone is feeling. The use of Virtual Reality technology is something new in a form of dance performance that conveys a lot of the content that the artist wants to convey. ABSTRAKKarya SABITAH ETERNITY salah satu karya tari yang mencoba menjadi jembatan penyambung edukasi terhadap audience yang menyaksikan pertunjukan karya ini, bertujuan agar dapat meningkatkan rasa empati dan sosial penonton terhadapmereka yang sedang mencoba beradaptasi dengan zaman yang sering dianggap sebagai isu yang sampai saat ini masih tidakterlalu gencar dipermasalahkan sebagai fenomena sosial yang rumit, dalam hal ini suku Talang Mamak dan ritualpengobatan Bedukun Balai Terbangnya. Pengkarya mencoba menyampaikan bagaimana masyarakat Talang Mamak dan ritual pengobatannya dapat melewati berbagai situasi dan kondisi menuju masa modern dan beradaptasi di dalamnya. Hal itu demi keberlangsungan budaya dan kelompok masyarakatnya, serta fase perubahan dan respon pelaku ritual BedukunBalai Terbang. Dalam hal ini negosiasi tubuh masyarakat suku terhadap era sekarang. Penggunaan ekspresi dan teknologisebagai media komunikasi, bahwa kita tidak pernah tau apa yang dirasakan setiap orang. Penggunaan teknologi Virtual Reality menjadi suatu hal baru dalam suatu bentuk pertunjukan tari yang banyak menyampaikan isi yang ingin disampaikan pengkarya.

Abstract

Malay Pencak Silat Melayu is a related Malay art known as classical Malay art which is often performed at receptions for grand guests or guests of honour. The development of Malay Pencak Silat performances can be found in the implementation of traditional Malay wedding ceremonies, events, circumcision events and events featuring regional arts, especially in Riau Province. Riuh Birama's musical composition was created using a World Music approach. The artist embodies ideas sourced from Malay Pencak Silat Accompaniment Music by developing melodic patterns using the Cengkok, Grenek, Patah techniques. The composition of Riuh Birama is realized in several stages, namely; 1) observation; 2) determining the concept; 3) material preparation; 4) discussion and commitment; and 5) embodiment. The creator tries to present several forms of novelty in the form of works following the concept being offered.
