Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine how social media, e-commerce, digital payments, and financial literacy influence the performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It also aims to analyze the moderating role of financial literacy in the relationships between social media, e-commerce, digital payments, and MSME performance. The study addresses the issue of limited understanding and adoption of digital economy practices among MSMEs. Using a quantitative approach, data from 109 MSMEs, sampled through probability sampling from a population of 33,964, were analyzed via Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS4. The findings reveal that while digital payments positively influence MSME performance, e-commerce, social media, and financial literacy do not directly affect it. However, financial literacy moderates the relationship between social media and MSME performance but does not influence the relationships involving e-commerce and digital payments. This underscores the need for MSMEs to enhance their financial literacy and e-commerce knowledge to thrive in the digital economy. The study's novelty lies in highlighting financial literacy as a moderating factor between social media and MSME performance, offering new insights into its critical role in fostering MSME growth in the digital age.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of transformational leadership, work motivation, and organizational culture on organizational commitment at PT Wasa Mitra Engineering, involving all 58 employees through a saturated census sampling technique. The study addresses issues such as a lack of supervisory firmness, leading to frequent employee tardiness. A research gap exists in understanding the mechanism through which these variables affect organizational commitment within the context of PT Wasa Mitra Engineering's power plant industry. To address this gap, the study incorporates employee feedback, including monthly reviews to help employees identify and improve their performance. Work motivation emerges as a key factor in fostering a committed and productive environment, supported by an organizational culture emphasizing honesty, integrity, collaboration, and respect. The findings reveal that transformational leadership does not significantly influence organizational commitment. However, work motivation and organizational culture have a positive effect, highlighting the importance of these factors in shaping employee commitment. This research contributes to the understanding of organizational dynamics, offering practical insights for creating a dedicated workforce. These results also provide a foundation for further studies in related fields, emphasizing the interplay between motivation, culture, and commitment in organizational success.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine how the work environment and the style of leadership affect job satisfaction.   Sample penelitian terdiri dari tiga puluh tiga responden.   A survey was used as part of the data collecting process, along with samples and SPSS version 21 for analysis and testing.  According to the study's findings, workplace environment (H2) and leadership style (H1) both have a significant impact on employee job satisfaction. In addition, work environment (H2) and leadership style (H1) have a simultaneous effect on employee job satisfaction (Y).  Its management ramifications give managers and leaders strategic insights to establish a productive workplace environment and implement an appropriate leadership style. Managers need to understand that a supportive, communicative, and collaboration-oriented leadership style can increase employee engagement and satisfaction. In addition, ensuring a comfortable, safe, and productivity-supporting work environment is also an important factor that contributes to job satisfaction. Managers must continue to monitor and evaluate working conditions and provide training for leaders to improve their ability to understand employee needs.

Abstract

Formal financial services. Therefore, its sustainability is essential. The study developed a novel model to investigate its sustainability in Tanzania using a structural equation modelling technique (SEM). Three hundred sixty-one (361) questionnaires were collected and used in the data analysis. Results indicate that perceived usefulness, user satisfaction, and perceived security significantly drive the continued usage of e-wallets. Convenience influences the perceived ease of use and usefulness of the e-wallets, and mobility impacts the perceived ease of use. In contrast, reachability impacts the perceived ease of use and usefulness of the e-wallets. Additionally, the study found that compatibility influences the perceived usefulness of e-wallets, and perceived usefulness, in turn, affects the satisfaction of e-wallet users. Moreover, the study confirmed that perceived security moderates the relationships between satisfaction and continuance usage intention of e-wallets, as well as between perceived usefulness and users' attitudes towards e-wallet usage. The study provides theoretical and practical insights into the sustainability of e-wallets in Tanzania.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation and impact of Ministry of Finance Regulation No. 212/PMK.07/2022 on the 2023 Regional Budget (APBD) formulation in Madiun City. The regulation restructures the General Allocation Fund (DAU) from a block grant to a conditional grant with specific allocations for education, health, infrastructure, PPPK salaries, and urban village funding. This change disrupted the original APBD draft, prepared in January 2022, and required revisions to comply with the new rules. Previously, the DAU was a flexible block grant, budgeted based on the previous year. PMK 212 replaced the earlier regulation that only addressed suspension and reduction of transfer funds, introducing stricter use guidelines. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method through interviews with BKAD officials and analysis of financial documents. Findings show that the regulation reduced budget flexibility, increased administrative burdens, and limited local fiscal autonomy, but improved transparency, accountability, and alignment with national priorities. BKAD responded by issuing internal guidelines and restructuring planning processes. The study concludes that while PMK 212 strengthens fiscal discipline, it diminishes responsiveness to local needs. The managerial implication is the need for improved technical coordination and adaptive planning to address conditional funding constraints in future budgets.

Abstract

This study examines changes in foreign direct investment (FDI) location and sectoral patterns in Indonesia before and during the COVID-19 pandemic by comparing primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors using descriptive quantitative analysis of BKPM data from 2019–2022. The findings reveal persistent sectoral and geographical differences: primary sector FDI remains concentrated in resource-rich regions such as Sumatra and Kalimantan, while secondary and tertiary sector investments continue to cluster in Java, particularly in industrial and urban areas. Despite the global uncertainty caused by the pandemic, no fundamental shift in sectoral location preferences is observed, indicating structural stability in Indonesia’s FDI determinants. The study contributes original insights by integrating sectoral classification with sub-national location analysis during a crisis period, an aspect that has received limited attention in prior FDI literature. The implications of this research are twofold: theoretically, it extends FDI location theory by demonstrating the resilience of sector-specific location advantages under conditions of uncertainty; practically, it provides policymakers with evidence to design targeted regional investment strategies that align infrastructure development, resource endowments, and market accessibility with sectoral investment needs in emerging markets such as Indonesia
