Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of profitability and company size on earnings quality by using capital structure as an intervening variable. The data used comes from the company's financial reports for 2011-2023. Profitability is measured by ROA and company size is measured by Ln (total assets), while earnings quality is calculated using the DACC formula acting as an intervening variable along with capital structure. The data analysis model used is multiple linear regression and path analysis. The findings show that profitability and company size have no influence on capital structure. Furthermore, the variables profitability, company size and capital structure have no effect on earnings quality, and capital structure does not act as a mediating variable between profitability and company size on earnings quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing stock prices of mining sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Panel data regression is utilized, with a sample of 39 mining companies selected through Purposive Sampling. Results indicate that, before the pandemic (2017–2019), company size significantly impacted stock prices, while liquidity, leverage, and profitability ratios did not. Conversely, during the pandemic (2020–2022), liquidity ratios and company size had a significant effect on stock prices, unlike leverage and profitability ratios. Throughout both periods, stock prices were significantly affected by liquidity, leverage, profitability, and company size. These findings provide insights for businesses to enhance productivity and financial sustainability, especially during economic instability like the pandemic. They also serve as indicators for investors regarding buying or selling shares, particularly in the mining sector. Additionally, the government can leverage these insights to optimize the mining sector, potentially boosting company revenues and supporting GDP growth.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the impact of leader-member exchange (LMX) and value congruence (VC) on job satisfaction (KK) through perceived organizational support (POS) as mediation. Conducted at PT DM Baru Retailindo Sewon Bantul, Yogyakarta, with 50 employees participating, the study employed saturated sampling and questionnaires for data collection. Data analysis utilized SPSS, encompassing classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and the Sobel test. Findings indicate a positive influence of LMX on POS (p<0.05) and of VC on POS (p<0.05). However, LMX didn't significantly influence job satisfaction (p<0.05), while VC did (p<0.05). Interestingly, POS didn't affect KK (p>0.05). Both LMX and VC exerted significant effects on KK with POS as a mediator. Implications suggest a need for organizational enhancements, particularly in areas like LMX, to foster employee satisfaction. Providing organizational support and attention to employees facing challenges could enhance job satisfaction within the company.

Abstract

There are still a lot of brands today that fail to survive in their respective industries. Brand development is hindered by the absence of a psychological strategy, such as fostering emotional connections. The purpose of this study is to determine how consumer pleasure, materialism, and self-conformity affect brand loyalty. Quantitative methods are used in the research approach. Purposive sampling is the sample technique that is applied. A Google Form was utilized to collect data from respondents, yielding 202 student responses. Multiple linear regression analysis is used in research analysis. According to the study's findings, materialism and customer satisfaction boost brand loyalty. In the meantime, brand loyalty is unaffected by self-conformity. Our study has a number of practical and conceptual ramifications.  From a conceptual standpoint, the study offers guidance for future investigations, such as broadening the causes and effects of brand love, including brand romance, brand loyalty, and satisfaction. Empirically speaking, study findings indicate that managers and businesses alike must be mindful of brand positioning tactics. When it comes to using skincare products, people put pleasure and materialistic aspects first.

Abstract

The study delves into the influence of exogenous variables, specifically endorser promotions (X1) and brand attachment (X2), on the endogenous variable, repurchase intention (Y), mediated by brand commitment (Z). Conducted via quantitative methods and SmartPLS software, it targets Barenbliss consumers exposed to TikTok promotions. Primary data was collected through Google Forms and Excel. Findings reveal direct effects: (1) Endorser promotions positively impact repurchase intention, (2) Brand attachment lacks a direct effect on repurchase intention, (3) Endorser promotions positively affect brand commitment, while (4) Brand attachment does not directly impact brand commitment. Additionally, (5) Brand commitment positively influences repurchase intention. Indirect effects include: (6) Endorser promotions impacting repurchase intention through brand commitment, and (7) No indirect effect of brand attachment on repurchase intention via brand commitment. The study underscores the importance of bolstering endorser promotions on TikTok to enhance repurchase intentions. Strengthening brand commitment through high-quality collaborations fosters sustained repurchase intentions. While brand attachment's direct impact may be lacking, nurturing emotional connections with consumers remains vital. Integrating effective endorser promotions with strategies to cultivate brand attachment nurtures loyalty and fosters enduring consumer relationships.

Abstract

This research explores optimizing transportation costs for Corner Kebab, a kebab business, by employing the stepping stone method. It addresses operational expenses, encompassing factory and transportation costs, to enhance the delivery of kebab skin (tortilla). The study evaluates the distribution process from MiniFroz and Defroz factories in East Jakarta and Serpong to three Corner Kebab outlets in Pondok Benda, Cidodol South Jakarta, and Bukit Dago. By minimizing tortilla distribution costs, the stepping stone method identifies an optimal daily expense of Rp. 212,000,- for Corner Kebab, surpassing the Rp. 222,000,- incurred through the North West Coast Method. This approach offers cost-saving benefits for the company. Despite the well-established nature of transportation problems and optimization techniques, this research contributes novelty by applying the stepping stone method to the kebab industry, specifically analyzing tortilla delivery costs. This focus on a niche business context enhances understanding and provides valuable insights for operational cost reduction in similar enterprises.

To fulfil this aim, a quantitative approach was adopted, involving a survey distributed to a group of 100 employees. The gathered data was then examined using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS_SEM) to determine the effect of each variable. The results of the study indicated that Self-Efficacy had significant influence on Motivation and Performance. Also, the results that the indirect path of self-efficacy, motivation and performance is significant and positive and classified as partial mediation. This research offers practical implications for the tourism industry particularly in terms of how effective the management of tourism companies, as business stakeholders maintain their employee’s performance effectively through real implementation particularly during periods of crisis.
