Abstract

Instruction in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Mangunharjo indicates that learning outcomes remain suboptimal; therefore, it is necessary to implement a learning model capable of enhancing student engagement and understanding during the learning process. This study aims to determine the significant completion of the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of Mangunharjo State Elementary School after the implementation of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) Cooperative Learning Model. The research method used is a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test category. The population in this study were all fourth-grade students of Mangunharjo State Elementary School, totaling 27 students and the research sample was fourth-grade students totaling 27 students, consisting of 17 male students and 10 female students taken by (saturated sampling). The data collection technique used multiple-choice test techniques. The data analysis technique used the z test. Based on the data analysis, the average pre-test value was 50.89 and the average post-test value was 80.30 with a confidence level of α = 0.05, Zcount was 4.97 and Ztable 1.64 because Zcount ≥ Ztable, then, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. From the results of the data analysis, it was concluded that the results of the science learning of grade IV students of Mangunharjo State Elementary School after applying the Cooperative Learning Model of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) type were significantly completed.

Abstract

The teaching of Natural Sciences in grade III elementary schools, particularly the Life Cycle topic, has predominantly relied on lecture-based delivery supported only by static illustrations in textbooks. As a result, students often struggle to grasp the sequential stages of metamorphosis and the abstract nature of living organisms' growth processes. To address this gap, the present study aimed to design an animated video medium for the Life Cycle topic, assess its feasibility, and evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing students' conceptual understanding. A research and development approach was employed, guided by the six-stage ASSURE model and supported by a one-group Pretest-Posttest pre-experimental design to determine the medium's effectiveness. Participants consisted of 29 third-grade students from Cikubang State Elementary School in Sumedang Regency, alongside one content expert, one media expert, and two teachers serving as validators. Data were gathered through interviews, expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest instruments, which were subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the paired samples t-test, and the N-Gain test. Findings revealed that the developed animated medium was rated highly feasible, earning validation scores of 83.7% from the content expert, 83% from the media expert, and 79.69% from student responses. In terms of effectiveness, students' conceptual understanding improved markedly, with mean scores rising from 29.66 in the Pretest to 78.28 in the Posttest, accompanied by a statistically significant t-test result (p < 0.05, sig. = 0.000) and an N-Gain value of 0.67, classified as moderate and reasonably effective. These findings confirm that the animated video medium is both feasible and effective in strengthening third-grade students' conceptual understanding of the Life Cycle material.

Abstract

Learning under the National Curriculum with the Deep Learning approach requires contextual assessment instruments that are oriented toward Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) to enhance students critical thinking abilities. This study aimed to develop a HOTS-based learning assessment instrument using the Wordwall website for the Basic Banking element at SMKS Yapalis Krian. The study employed a Research and Developmnet (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research participants included an assessment expert, a graphic design expert, and 35 grade Accounting students at SMKS Yapalis Krian. Data were collected through expert review sheets, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and item analysis using the Anates software. The findings indicated that the Wordwall based learning assessment instrument obtained a feasibility score of 91% from the assessment expert and 100% from the graphic design expert, both categorized as highly feasible. Furthermore, students responses to the developed product reached 99%, which was classified as very positive. Therefore, the HOTS based learning assessment instrument developed using the Wordwall website for the Basic Banking element is considered highly feasible and received vert positive responses, indicating that it is suitable for use in learning assessment activities.

Abstract

The implementation of the deep learning approach in Indonesia's national curriculum requires vocational schools to design instructional media that support mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning experiences, particularly for taxation-related subjects that students often find difficult to grasp. This research was conducted to develop a Construct 3-based learning media for the Taxation subject for Grade XI students of the Accounting and Financial Institution Program at State Vocational High Schools in Surabaya. The study was motivated by the findings of a preliminary investigation, which showed that classroom instruction was predominantly conducted through lecture methods and supported by conventional learning media, such as PowerPoint slides, textbooks, and student worksheets. Consequently, students tended to exhibit low learning engagement and experienced difficulties in understanding the subject matter. The questionnaire results further revealed that 72.3% of the respondents encountered challenges in comprehending Value Added Tax (VAT) and Luxury Goods Sales Tax (LGST) topics. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The resulting product is an interactive learning application equipped with several main features, namely Learning Outcomes and Learning Objectives Flow (CP-ATP), learning materials, Tax Insight, a tax calculator, practice exercises, and a developer progile. The results of the material expert validation indicated a feasibility percentage of 93%, categorized as highly feasible, while the media expert validation achieved a perfect score of 100%, also classified as highly feasible. A limited field trial was carried out involving 20 Grade XI Accounting students from four State Vocational High Schools in Surabaya. The students' responses to the developed learning media yielded a percentage of 98%, reflecting a strong level of agreement regarding its use in the learning process. These findings demonstrate that the Construct 3-based learning media incorporating a deep learning approach is highly feasible and effective in supporting technology-enhanced learning in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective galoris-x educational game learning media for the multiplication of whole numbers up to 100 for fourth-grade students of SDN Morombuh 1. This study uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, & Evaluation) research model. This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students on the multiplication material of 67 who have not reached the KKTP set at 70, and also learning that is still monotonous and uses lecture methods and does not use learning media. The validity of the product is obtained from the media expert validator obtaining a percentage of 94% (very valid), learning material experts 82.2% (very valid), and learning design experts and 96% (very valid). The practicality of the developed galoris-x educational game media is stated to be practical as assessed from the results of the teacher response questionnaire showing a percentage of 98% with a very practical category, and the student response questionnaire showing a percentage of 97.7% with a very practical category. The effectiveness of the Galoris-X educational game media has been declared effective based on the observation results of teacher and student activities during 2 meetings, meeting 1 teacher activity obtained 90% (very effective), student activity 89.5% (very effective). Meeting 2 teacher activity obtained 95% (very effective), student activity 93% (very effective). Learning outcomes based on the paired sample t test obtained a result of 0.000. <0.05 and a sig value of 15.199> 2.145 so that Ho is rejected Ha is accepted there is a difference between the scores of fourth grade students of SDN Morombuh 1 on multiplication material before and after learning using the Galoris-X educational game.

Abstract

Reliable information on subsurface conditions is essential during the planning and development of airport infrastructure, as variations in soil properties can signiticantly affect foundation stability and construction performance. Shear wave velocity (Vs) is an important geophysical parameter for assessing the mechanical behavior and lithological characteristics of near-surface materials. This study aims to analyze shear wave velocity (Vs) as an indicator of subsurface lithological characteristics at Yogyakarta International Airport using the Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) method. The MASW technique was applied due to its effectiveness as a non-destructive method for obtaining Vs profiles relevant to geotechnical evaluation. The results indicate that at depths of 1–4 m, shear wave velocities range from 220.2 m/s to 315.7 m/s, corresponding to loose sand lithology. At greater depths of 5–15 m, the Vs values increase to between 370 m/s and 390 m/s, indicating more compact sand layers. These findings suggest that the shallow subsurface is dominated by weathered, loose, and soft materials, which are less favorable for supporting heavy infrastructure such as airport runways.

Abstract

Technological developments in the era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 demand more interactive instructional materials, including for the Government Institution Accounting course in Vocational High Schools (SMK). Learning on village financial administration material at SMKN 1 Duduksampeyan still largely relies on lectures and printed student worksheets (LKPD), resulting in passive students who struggle to understand this complex, procedural, and regulation-based material. This study aims to produce a Google Sites-based Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) on village financial administration material and to determine its feasibility and student response toward the developed product. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 4D model, encompassing the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages, limited to the develop stage. Research subjects consisted of two material experts, two language experts, two media experts, and 30 twelfth-grade Accounting students at SMKN 1 Duduksampeyan. Data were collected through interviews, expert validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using Likert and Guttman scales. The results showed that material expert validation obtained a percentage of 89%, language experts 89%, and media experts 91%, with an overall average validation score of 90%, categorized as "Highly Feasible." Student responses to the use of the E-LKPD averaged 91%, categorized as "Very Good." These findings demonstrate that the Google Sites-based E-LKPD is feasible as an interactive and flexible alternative instructional material that supports students' understanding of village financial administration material.

Abstract

The low level of students' problem-solving skills in the topic of motion dynamics indicates the need for learning media that can effectively support students in analyzing and solving physics-related problems. This study aimed to analyze the differences in students' problem-solving abilities through the implementation of HTML5 website-based media and iSpring media using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on motion dynamics material. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design involving two experimental classes. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-gain tests. The results showed that the average posttest score of students' problem-solving abilities in the class using HTML5 website-based media was 78.93, which was higher than that of the class using iSpring media at 71.86. A significance value of 0.016 indicated a significant difference in problem-solving abilities between the two classes, while the N-gain scores of 0.64 and 0.50 demonstrated moderate improvement in both groups. The study concludes that the use of HTML5 website-based media through the PBL model is more effective than iSpring media in enhancing students' problem-solving abilities in motion dynamics material.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is a crucial skill for students in IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) learning. However, because the learning process is still dominated by the use of unengaging media, students' conceptual understanding remains suboptimal therefore, innovative and interactive learning media such as pop up books are needed. This study aimed to determine the effect of using Pop-Up Book media on fourth-grade students’ understanding of IPAS concepts on plant parts material at SDN 28 Cakranegara in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research was conducted at SDN 28 Cakranegara. The subjects consisted of 60 fourth-grade students, including 30 students from Class IV A as the control group and 30 students from Class IV B as the experimental group. The research data were primary data obtained from students’ pretest and posttest scores on concept understanding. Data were collected through tests and observations. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test that had been tested for validity using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene’s Test of Homogeneity, and the Independent Samples t-Test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 32. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The hypothesis testing revealed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. The mean posttest score of the experimental group was 8.67, which was higher than that of the control group at 7.17. Therefore, the use of Pop-Up Book media had a significant effect on fourth-grade students’ understanding of IPAS concepts on plant parts material at SDN 28 Cakranegara. Based on these findings, teachers are recommended to use Pop-Up Book media as an alternative instructional medium to improve students’ conceptual understanding in IPAS learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence  of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT)  type cooperative learning model on Student Learning Outcomes in Grade IV Mathematics Subjects at SDN Mlajah 2 Bangkalan. This study is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design, and the form of research design used is a non-equivalent control group design. The population in the study is the entire fourth grade of SDN Mlajah 2 Bangkalan which totals 89 students. The sample used in the study was class IV of SDN Mlajah 2 consisting of 45 students in grades IV-A and 44 students in grades IV-B. The sampling technique in the study used non-probability sampling with saturated sampling techniques. The data collection technique in this study uses observation and learning outcome tests. The test instruments used in this study first went through validity, reliability, difficulty, and differentiating power. The pre-trial test used was a normality test with the Shapiro wilk  technique and a homogeneity test. Hypothesis test using an independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the analysis of the t-test data, the independent sample t-test obtained a sig (2-tailed) value obtained < 0.00 < 0.05, then Ho was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence  of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT)  type Cooperative Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes in Grade IV Mathematics Subjects at SDN Mlajah 2 Bangkalan.
