Abstract

Pediculus humanus capitis is one of the problems that can interfere with human health. To overcome this, alternative treatments other than commercial shampoos are needed that can harm humans. The selection of shampoo from natural ingredients can be an alternative, namely Kaffir lime leaf shampoo (Citrus hystrix DC) and lime leaf shampoo (Citrus aurantifolia). The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristic properties of anti-head lice shampoo and determine the optimum concentration of kaffir lime leaf extract and lime leaf extract against head lice mortality. Based on the results of research for phytochemical screening show that the extract contains flavonoid compounds, saponins, alkaloids, triterpenoids, and tannins. The characteristics of shampoo preparations are that they have a blackish-green shampoo color, a distinctive aroma of orange leaves, and a thick form. In addition, a normal pH of 5-6, viscosity of 100-6000 cP, and foam height of 4-6 cm is obtained. Effectiveness tests against head lice were obtained at an optimum concentration of 5% for both kaffir lime leaf extract and lime extract. This shows the good potential of natural ingredients kaffir lime leaves and lime leaves as the basic ingredients of anti-shampoo lice.

Abstract

Every Company requires a strategy to develop in the long term, upholding its position in the market with increasing sales volume, and profitability that ensures the sustainability of the Company itself. Mapping the path for the Company's future is a challenge in the strategy formulation, specifically in the face of disruptions which often occur both internally and externally. PT ABC's strategy must consider or prepare for all reasonable future possibilities to maintain the continuity of its business. The scenario planning approach prepared as part of PT ABC's strategy formulation will minimize the strategy implementation failure risk and provide a comprehensive picture of when to replace, change, or adjust the strategy through the early warning system, which monitors the company's external environment. The purpose of this study is to formulate a scenario planning by analyzing and investigating the driving forces, the critical uncertainties that arise and influence PT ABC's ceramic tile business, along with devising early warning signals in order that PT ABC becomes able to determine which possible scenarios to use and what actions must be taken to deal with those scenarios. This study uses qualitative research methodology using primary and secondary data to determine the driving forces that will affect PT ABC's ceramic tile business until 2030. The obtained data is analyzed using the scenario planning approach, PESTEL analysis, and Porter's Five Forces analysis (Industry analysis) to create a scenario matrix that reflects critical uncertainties that will influence PT ABC's business in the future. The scenarios indicate possible future situations and offer strategic options for the company to manage the implications of each scenario. Before a scenario occurs, the company must determine the early warning signal to alert the company to which scenario will occur and what action should be taken. By establishing a comprehensive scenario planning, the company can develop strategies that can help it confidently envision its future business.

Abstract

The inventory information system currently employed by the General Administration Department remains largely manual, relying on Microsoft Office Excel. This approach results in inefficiencies, particularly in the retrieval and processing of inventory data, which tends to be slow and prone to errors. In response to these limitations, this study aims to develop a more efficient, user-friendly inventory management system that improves access to information and streamlines data and file handling. The proposed system is designed to enhance operational efficiency within administrative units, particularly the logistics sub-division, by providing accurate records of goods management activities, including procurement, inventory, and transactional processes. With the implementation of this system, it is expected that the handling of university logistics data will become faster, more reliable, and less prone to human error. Moreover, access to logistical information will be more readily available whenever required, supporting timely and informed decision-making.

Abstract

This study examined the control of thrips through technical culture on tomato plants by combining soil amendments and UV plastic shade. An experiment was conducted in dry land in Gumantar village, North Lombok Regency, from May to September 2024. This study tested three levels of soil amendments (without soil amendments, with chicken manure, and biochar) and two levels of shade (without shade and with UV plastic shade). The treatments were arranged factorially using a randomized block design with three replications. The population of thrips, both larvae and imago, and the intensity of thrips pest attacks were observed. The results showed an interaction between soil amendments and UV plastic shelters in suppressing the first instar larvae of thrips pests on young leaves. The soil amendment factor significantly affected the presence of first instar larvae on old and young leaves. The UV plastic shelter treatment had a significant impact on all observation parameters, namely thrips pest imago on old and young leaves, first instar larvae on old and young leaves, second instar larvae on old and young leaves, and the intensity of thrips pest attacks.

Abstract

Delays in hotel renovation projects can significantly disrupt business continuity, increase operational costs, and erode stakeholder confidence. This study investigates the primary causes of delay and the role of stakeholder influence in managing renovation projects, focusing on the Hotel X Jakarta renovation case. A mixed-method approach was adopted, combining quantitative analysis through questionnaires and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), along with qualitative insights from stakeholder interviews. Fifty respondents representing both internal and external actors were selected from a total of 100 identified project stakeholders. The findings revealed three dominant causes of delay: (1) ineffective communication and coordination among project teams, (2) decision-making delays by internal managerial staff, and (3) lack of involvement of key stakeholders in the early phases of the project. The most influential contributors to delay were internal decision-makers, government regulators responsible for permitting, and external consultants who failed to deliver project documentation on time. Stakeholder mapping showed that these actors possessed both high power and high interest, yet their engagement was either misaligned or delayed. These results indicate that project delays are not only technical issues but are also deeply rooted in behavioral, organizational, and structural dynamics. To mitigate such delays, renovation projects should integrate stakeholder engagement strategies with proactive communication planning and scheduling tools such as the Critical Path Method (CPM). This integrated approach provides a more resilient framework for managing complexity in multi-stakeholder renovation environments.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate a service quality measurement instrument specifically for brick-and-mortar cosmetic retail stores in Lampung Province, Indonesia. An initial pool of 40 items—reflecting six dimensions (store aesthetics, ambience, lighting, product display, store layout, and staff service quality)—was generated based on the literature and refined through expert review and pilot testing. Data were collected from 126 customers of three major cosmetic retailers in Lampung. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) on 33 retained items revealed a stable three-factor structure (“Store Aesthetics,” “Ambience & Lighting,” and “Product Display, Layout & Staff Service”), explaining 70.6% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) confirmed model fit (CFI = 0.96; TLI = 0.95; RMSEA = 0.045; SRMR = 0.042). Each factor demonstrated high internal consistency (? ? 0.878; CR ? 0.90) and acceptable convergent validity (AVE ? 0.56) and discriminant validity. The final 26-item scale offers a psychometrically sound tool for assessing service quality in Indonesian cosmetic retail environments. Practically, managers can use this instrument to identify areas for improvement—in interior design, sensory ambience, merchandise presentation, store layout, and staff training—to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
