Abstract

In the era of globalization, MSMEs in the processed food sector have a great opportunity to penetrate the export market through the use of innovation and competitive advantage. One concrete example is CV. Indigo Sejahtera in Sidoarjo, a producer of processed egg noodles that has successfully entered international markets such as Malaysia, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia. This phenomenon shows the great potential of local MSMEs to compete in the global market. However, there is still a research gap related to operational strategies that MSMEs actually apply in achieving sustainable export competitiveness. The novelty of this research is in the form of an in-depth exploration of the integration of innovation processes and competitive advantages in supporting the success of MSME exports based on processed foods. The urgency is based on the strategic role of MSMEs in encouraging inclusive economic growth and industrial sustainability in accordance with the SDGs agenda. Qualitative research method phenomenological approach, this research was carried out in CV. Indigo Sejahtera, with one main informant of the owner and two informants supporting employees. The results of the study show that the strategies implemented include product innovation through a variety of flavors ranging from spicy, original, spices, attractive and socially proofable packaging innovations for social media, as well as active digital marketing through live TikTok, Shopee, and Instagram twice a day in the afternoon and evening, as well as the management of the official website. Competitive advantages are obtained from affordable prices, distinctive tastes, and unique packaging, as well as collaborations with local food influencers as endorsements. This strategy has proven effective in increasing global competitiveness. The implications of this study lead to the real contribution of MSMEs to the achievement of the SDGs, especially the goals of 8 decent work and economic growth and the goals of 9 industry, innovation, and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study examined the control of thrips through technical culture on tomato plants by combining soil amendments and UV plastic shade. An experiment was conducted in dry land in Gumantar village, North Lombok Regency, from May to September 2024. This study tested three levels of soil amendments (without soil amendments, with chicken manure, and biochar) and two levels of shade (without shade and with UV plastic shade). The treatments were arranged factorially using a randomized block design with three replications. The population of thrips, both larvae and imago, and the intensity of thrips pest attacks were observed. The results showed an interaction between soil amendments and UV plastic shelters in suppressing the first instar larvae of thrips pests on young leaves. The soil amendment factor significantly affected the presence of first instar larvae on old and young leaves. The UV plastic shelter treatment had a significant impact on all observation parameters, namely thrips pest imago on old and young leaves, first instar larvae on old and young leaves, second instar larvae on old and young leaves, and the intensity of thrips pest attacks.

Abstract

Delays in hotel renovation projects can significantly disrupt business continuity, increase operational costs, and erode stakeholder confidence. This study investigates the primary causes of delay and the role of stakeholder influence in managing renovation projects, focusing on the Hotel X Jakarta renovation case. A mixed-method approach was adopted, combining quantitative analysis through questionnaires and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), along with qualitative insights from stakeholder interviews. Fifty respondents representing both internal and external actors were selected from a total of 100 identified project stakeholders. The findings revealed three dominant causes of delay: (1) ineffective communication and coordination among project teams, (2) decision-making delays by internal managerial staff, and (3) lack of involvement of key stakeholders in the early phases of the project. The most influential contributors to delay were internal decision-makers, government regulators responsible for permitting, and external consultants who failed to deliver project documentation on time. Stakeholder mapping showed that these actors possessed both high power and high interest, yet their engagement was either misaligned or delayed. These results indicate that project delays are not only technical issues but are also deeply rooted in behavioral, organizational, and structural dynamics. To mitigate such delays, renovation projects should integrate stakeholder engagement strategies with proactive communication planning and scheduling tools such as the Critical Path Method (CPM). This integrated approach provides a more resilient framework for managing complexity in multi-stakeholder renovation environments.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate a service quality measurement instrument specifically for brick-and-mortar cosmetic retail stores in Lampung Province, Indonesia. An initial pool of 40 items—reflecting six dimensions (store aesthetics, ambience, lighting, product display, store layout, and staff service quality)—was generated based on the literature and refined through expert review and pilot testing. Data were collected from 126 customers of three major cosmetic retailers in Lampung. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) on 33 retained items revealed a stable three-factor structure (“Store Aesthetics,” “Ambience & Lighting,” and “Product Display, Layout & Staff Service”), explaining 70.6% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) confirmed model fit (CFI = 0.96; TLI = 0.95; RMSEA = 0.045; SRMR = 0.042). Each factor demonstrated high internal consistency (α ≥ 0.878; CR ≥ 0.90) and acceptable convergent validity (AVE ≥ 0.56) and discriminant validity. The final 26-item scale offers a psychometrically sound tool for assessing service quality in Indonesian cosmetic retail environments. Practically, managers can use this instrument to identify areas for improvement—in interior design, sensory ambience, merchandise presentation, store layout, and staff training—to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

PLN's electricity supply is not always continuous in the process of distributing power, because under certain conditions there will be blackouts caused by interruptions or maintenance in the distribution system. An alternative to overcome PLN disturbances is to use renewable sources such as solar power plants and generators with an ATS automatic control system controlled using PLC. This study conducted a literature study to collect relevant theories and references about this research. PLC diagram leaders are designed for the process of transferring PLN, PLTS and Generator to load electrical power. Solar power plants operate during disruptions to PLN resources during operational hours (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.) and generators operate when solar power resources cannot supply to the load and at night outside solar power plant operating hours. The ATS system is able to switch the process of switching PLN and PLTS power sources very quickly without any time lag so that the load is directly supplied by PLN and PLTS power sources. The process of switching the generator source takes approximately 2 seconds for the starting process. The process of transferring battery power resources to critical loads without any time lag during the generator starting process and when generator starting failure occurs.

Abstract

A septic tank is a temporary storage place for household waste, in which there are several gases that if the concentration increases, it will cause several impacts on the health and safety of people or the community around the septic tank. Previous research related to monitoring and neutralizing gas sewers in septic tanks has been successfully made, but the tool has shortcomings in terms of the use of the HC-SR04 sensor, where if the sensor is in humid conditions for a long time, then its performance cannot be optimal, due to the influence of humid space, therefore it is necessary to optimize the tool in terms of detecting the level of fulfillment of septic tank volume. As a result of optimizing the septic tank volume detection sensor which was replaced with the JSN-SR04T sensor, the volume detection results are more accurate and more stable, this is because the JSN sensor is waterproof, so that intervention from a humid environment is minimized. Testing from the two sensors found that the accuracy level of HC-SR04 in measuring distances between 20 to 200 cm, with 12 tests, the accuracy level of JSN-SR04T was 100%, and HC-SR04 was 90.1%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of disclosure of sustainability reporting on company performance based on maqashid sharia perspective in sharia stock indexed companies in Indonesia. The study obtained a sample of 52 companies in the mining, property & real estate, energy, and basic industry & chemicals sectors listed in the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) during 2022-2023, resulting in 104 observations through purposive sampling. The data analysis technique was conducted using documentation methods, specifically by collecting annual report data and sustainability reports from the sample companies. The analysis was performed using multiple regression with E-Views 13 software. Based on the research results, the Sustainability Reporting does not have a statistically significant effect on the Maqashid Syariah Index. This research indicates that companies listed in the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index, although they have demonstrated concern for environmental issues and social interests through sustainability reporting, have not yet fully integrated the principles of Maqashid Sharia into their operational practices in an optimal manner.

Abstract

The Project Solution portfolio remains a key driver in increasing revenue and profitability within the company. As evidenced by the four existing portfolios, Project Solution contributes an average of over 30% of annual revenue, particularly in Region 6 Kalimantan. Furthermore, the ongoing and upcoming IKN (National Capital City) project presents a significant opportunity to increase revenue within this portfolio. With the company's competitive advantages, revenue contributions should be maximized or even increase compared to previous years. Are there any obstacles or problems encountered by personnel involved in this project that have resulted in suboptimal contributions, or even decreased, compared to previous years? This is one of the reasons we focus on researching project-related human resources. The aim of the research is to determine the motivation of each individual involved in a project, to determine the competency of each individual involved in a project and to determine the influence of motivation and competency on competitive advantage in the Project Solution portfolio. The approach used in this research is quantitative. A quantitative approach is used to research a specific population or sample, collecting data using research instruments, and analyzing the data using quantitative/statistical methods. The research results show that motivation does not significantly influence competitive advantage, competence significantly influences competitive advantage, while simultaneously motivation and competence can explain the competitive advantage construct by 67.2% using a moderate model. The remaining variability not explained by the construct could be caused by other factors outside the model. From the results of this study, competence has a significant influence on competitive advantage rather than employee motivation, so the initial focus is to maintain employee competence so that it remains in the very competent category or even improved and retain employees who have good competence to continue working in the company.
