Pasundan Journal of Mathematics Education : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika
Pasundan Journal of Mathematics Education (PJME) merupakan jurnal pendidikan matematika yang dikelola oleh Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pasundan dan Asosiasi Guru Matematika Indonesia (AGMI). Jurnal ini menerbitkan penelitian asli atau makalah teoretis tentang pengajaran dan pembelajaran dalam program studi pendidikan matematika tentang masalah sains saat ini, yaitu: Pendidik matematika di tingkat sekolah dasar, menengah dan tinggi; Pengamat dan peneliti matematika; Pembuat keputusan pendidikan di tingkat regional dan nasional. Jurnal ini pun merekomendasikan penelitian tindakan kelas, kualitatif, deskriptif, atau kuantitatif. Penelitian asli disini meliputi penelitian murni (penelitian tindakan kelas) maupun penelitian eksperimen. Sedangkan makalah teoretis meliputi: ulasan buku, laporan singkat (short report), artikel review (review articles), studi kasus (case studies), metodologi (methodology). Jurnal ini adalah jurnal nasional, yang menerbitkan artikel dari penelitian asli dan makalah teoretis tentang semua aspek pendidikan matematika yang nilainya baru. Sehingga jurnal ini diharapkan dapat berpartisipasi aktif dalam pembangunan nasional khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan, dapat memberikan informasi tentang perkembangan pendidikan matematika.

Science growing in line with the technology expanding was found, needed to life skill to obtain manage and use the science to be used to necessary of life today and the is going the come. One of them is skill of mathematics. But in fact we are still find student who has the ability to think critical mathematics is low. One of alternatives learning that can improve the ability to think criticaly mathematically students used the learning model of Discovery Learning. This study attempts to knowing have increased capasity to think criticaly mathematical students through the model of Discovery Learning better than conventional learning model. the methods this research is experiment of research. The population of the research is all students in class XI SMKN 3 Bandung and this sample is students in class XI MM 1 and XI MM 2 at SMKN 3 Bandung. And instrument used in research is the result of the study. From this research obtain edcondution the ability to think criticaly mathematicaly student who obtain lessons learned Discovery Learning better than Conventional obtain lesson learned. Advice provided is it is hoped that teacher creating a favorable and involves student in learning so the student able to expanding mathematical think criticaly. Learning with a model Discovery Learning very good used in learning, that can be used as an alternative in learning activities.

This research is intended to study the improvement of mathematical communication ability problems and students’ learning activity independency thorough learning activity with performance assessment and also to gain students activity learning description in learning mathematics. The methodology of this research is the alloyment of qualitative data embedded into quantitative. The population of this research are 14 classes of XI yearstudents of SMK Negeri 1 Cianjur. And the sample are the XI year students of RPL 1 as experimental class and XI year students of TKJ 1 as control one. Its instrument is questions about mathematical communication ability and questionnaire of students’ learning independency scale, activity observation sheet, and students interview sheet. The result of this research is 1)The improvement of students mathematical communication ability which use the performance assessment better than those who learn the material with conventional one; 2) There is some improvement of mathematical communication ability with performance assessment; 3)The students are actively involved in learning process with performance assessment

Pendekatan pembelajaran diupayakan harus dapat mengaktifkan siswa, dan mengembangkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah serta daya nalar siswa, sehingga siswa mampu mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi argumentasi. Salah satu pendekatan yang bisa melibatkan berbagai aktivitas siswa adalah pendekatan keterampilan proses. Proses pengajaran dengan keterampilan proses akan membentuk siswa yang terampil dalam intelektual dan terampil dalam proses perhitungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan keterampilan proses matematika dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran siswa MTs.N 1 Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen, dengan Disain penelitian yang digunakan berbentuk pretest-postest-control group, yaitu disain kelompok kontrol pretes dan postes yang melibatkan dua kelompok. Dua kelompok tersebut, yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Perbedaan antara kedua kelompok tersebut adalah perlakuan dalam proses belajar-mengajar. Eksperimen proses belajar-mengajarnya memperoleh perlakuan dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses matematika, sedangkan kelompok kontrol memperoleh pengajaran biasa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis antara siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses matematika dan siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran biasa. Kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses matematika lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran biasa. Dengan demikian pembelajaran matematika siswa dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa.

China has a very long history of contributing to human civilisation, including its contribution to mathematics development. The Chinese had discovered many essential theories and concepts in mathematics long before the more famous Western mathematicians. Many of China's theories and concepts thousands of years ago have become references to many Western mathematicians. This paper traces the development of mathematics in China from all the dynasties in its history, including the development of mathematical theory, mathematical texts, and the famous mathematical figures of his time.

The importance of mathematical and communication skills Self Regulated Learning for students has been widelyrecognized in mathematics education. But still lack a way that can be used in improving keduanya, into theimplementation of the basic idea of this research. Through the application of problem-based learning is expectedto enrich the strategy to improve the communication skills of mathematical and Self Regulated Learningstudents. This research includes studies quasi experimental design with a control group not equivalent. Thisresearch was conducted in SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung, the subject of the entire population of students of classVII SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung and took two samples of class VII. Instruments used include test questions andquestionnaires mathematical communication skills Self Regulated Learning. Quantitative data analysis usingANOVA test two way, followed by Scheffe test. Based on the results of this study concluded that: increase ofmathematical and communication skills Self Regulated Learning Ability Early learners with Mathematics(LAM) high, medium and low learning using Problem Based Learning is better than the increase in mathematicaland communication skills Self-Regulated Learning learners who use the usual learning model. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-efficacy, kecemasan matematika, dan pemahaman matematis. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan meliputi seluruh siswa di salah satu SMP di Depok. Sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VIII. Masalah yang diteliti, yaitu pengaruh langsung self-efficacy terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis, kecemasan matematika terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis, self-efficacy terhadap kecemasan matematika dan sebaliknya, serta pengaruh tidak langsung self-efficacy terhadap pemahaman matematis melalui kecemasan matematika, dan kecemasan matematika terhadap pemahaman matematis melalui self-efficacy. Analisis kuantitatif menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh langsung yang bernilai positif self-efficacy terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis, pengaruh langsung yang bernilai negatif kecemasan matematika terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis, pengaruh langsung yang bernilai negatif self-efficacy terhadap kecemasan matematika, pengaruh langsung yang bernilai negatif kecemasan matematika terhadap self-efficacy, serta pengaruh tidak langsung yang bernilai positif self-efficacy terhadap pemahaman matematis melalui kecemasan matematika, dan pengaruh tidak langsung yang bernilai negatif kecemasan matematika terhadap pemahaman matematis melalui self-efficacy.

This study focuses on revealing comparison of communication skills and mathematical problem solving junior high school students, as a result of the use of contextual learning and conventional learning in mathematics learning. Subjects in the study were students of class VIII junior secondary school class one experimental and one control class. The instrument used in this study consists of two instruments, namely, 1) test communications and mathematical problem solving that aims to measure communication skills and mathematical problem solving of students after learning, and 2) the scale of attitude that serves to express students' applied learning the class eksperimen.Berdasarkan data analysis in this study, it is concluded that 1) the ability of students in mathematical communication in the group of students that uses contextual learning better than students who studied with conventional learning. 2) The ability of students in mathematical problem solving in student groups that use contextual learning better than students who studied with conventional learning. 3) There is a very high correlation between communication skills and mathematical problem solving of students. This means that the rank obtained by the students on communication skills with a rating similar to that obtained in mathematical problem solving ability. There are also associations at anatara enough communication skills to solving mathematical problems. This shows that student achievement in communication skills similar to mathematical problem solving ability and vice versa. Correlations and associations found in both groups. 4) the scale of students' attitudes toward learning context shows that the majority of students expressed agreement the learning activities that took place during the study.

Abstract This paper presents the findings from a pretest-posttest experimental control group design conducted to analyze the influence of methaphorical thinking approach, school cluster, and prior mathematics ability on students’ mathematical communication abilities and self efficacy. The subyect of the study are 237 seventh grade students from three yunior high schools of different cluster. The instruments of the study are mathematical communication test, and a set of self efficacy scale. The data were analyzed by using two path ANOVA and Scheffe test. The study found that methaphorical thinking approach performs the best influence compare to school cluster, and prior mathematics ability level on attaining students’ mathematical communication ability, and self efficacy. Moreover, there are no interaction between teaching approach and school cluster and prior mathematics level on improving students’ mathematical communication abilities, and self efficacy as well. Abstrak Makalah ini melaporkan temuan suatu eksperimen berdisain pretes-postes kelompok kontrol dan berutujuan menganalisis peranan pendekatan methaphorical thinking, kluster sekolah, dan kemampuan awal matematika siswa terhadap pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematik dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Subyek penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 237 siswa kelas VII dari tiga SMP masing-masing dari kluster tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah seperangkat tes komunikasi matematik dan seperangkat skala kepercayaan diri. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan ANOVA dua jalur, dan uji Scheffe. Studi menemukan bahwa pendekatan methaphorical thinking memberikan peran terbesar dibandingkan dengan peran kluster sekolah dan kemampuan awal matematika terhadap pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematik dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Studi menemukan pula tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran dan kulster sekolah dan antara pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematika siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematik dan kepercayaan diri siswa.

Latar belakang masalah pada penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis di Indonesia yang masih tergolong sangat rendah atau dibawah rata-rata. Diprediksi bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan BBL dapat membantu siswa mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Menganalisis perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan BBL dan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari keseluruhan dan perbedaan gender; 2)Melihat aktivitas siswa terhadap respon pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan BBL. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan Metode Campuran (Mixed Method) tipe Embedded Design dengan jenis Embedded Experimental Model. pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sampel yang terpilih adalah kelas VIII-E sebagai kelas ekserimen dan kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan instrumen non tes yaitu lembar observasi. Pokok bahasan yang disajikan sebagai bahan materi adalah SPLDV. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan BBL lebih baik dari pada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari keseluruhan dan perbedaan gender, (2) 2) Dalam pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Brain based learning siswa terlihat aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika.

This study aims at examining the increasing understanding of mathematical ability and logical reasoning of students receiving learning with probing techniques with students receiving regular teaching and examining students' attitudes toward learning with the use of probing techniques. This study is a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group. This study population is one of the main Junior High School students in Sumedang, while class VIII student research samples as many as two grades. One class became the experimental group and the class into groups and one control. The instruments used in this study were to test the understanding of mathematical and logical reasoning of students in the description form, and the scale of attitude towards learning by using probing techniques. The results showed that: 1) The ability of students to gain an understanding of mathematical learning with probing technique is better than the learning of students who receive regular teaching 2) Logical reasoning ability of students receiving learning with probing techniques are better than students who receive regular learning, 3) Improved understanding of the mathematical ability of students receiving learning with probing techniques are better than students who receive regular learning, 4) Increased Logical reasoning ability of students receiving learning with probing techniques are better than students who receive regular learning, 5) The attitude of students towards learning by using probing techniques demonstrate a positive attitude.
