Abstract

The realization of creative students is one of the learning objectives implemented in schools. Students become creative when faced with  contextual problems at school.  Theproblem of plastic waste  at SMP PGRI 13 Gondangrejo Karanganyar encouragesschool residents to choose creative solutions through the useof plastic waste mineral water bottles for the manufacture of recycle art works  that are charged with creativity.  The purpose of this  activity is to increase students' creativity   in creating recycle art using plastic waste contained in the school environment. The implementation of training and mentoring activities uses lecture and question and answer methods in the delivery of theory, while experimental methods are used when practicing work. The application of this method is supported by the proximity of si participation and collaborasi dari in the early to late stages.  The achievements of the  activities are: (1) The realization  of recycle art works in the  form of  various types  of plastic flowers  in the school garden located in front of the teacher's office so that  the  school environment becomes comfortable and beautiful, (2) Increasingstudent creativity in creating recycle art.

Abstract

A teacher's ability to adapt to technology is tested when there is a significant change from face-to-face to distance learning. The most important thing is the teacher's effort to direct the attitudes and skills of students during online learning. The Technology, Pedagogy, Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach can be a solution to provide opportunities for educators to synergize anti-corruption education in learning practices. In this activity, anti-corruption education in sociology subjects was carried out using the TPACK framework approach. The service's target is the lecturers of sociology subjects in Surakarta. The method of implementing this service consists of several activities, including focus group discussion (FGD) offline to observe community needs. Then proceed with an online meeting through a zoom meeting to deliver general anti-corruption education materials and training asynchronously through the google classroom platform for 32 lessons for the benefit of training in anti-corruption education content analysis and anti-corruption learning model innovation. The preparation of anti-corruption education-based learning videos is carried out. The results of the activities were an increase in the ability of teachers to design anti-corruption learning innovations in sociology subjects and an increase in the ability of teachers to compile sociology learning videos by strengthening content knowledge of anti-corruption education insertions.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning at a natural school in Klaten through engineering design. STEM is directed as integrated learning between several fields of science, especially those related to mathematics, science (physics, chemistry, biology, and environmental science), and IT (Information Technology). Learning is done by introducing several technologies that use wind energy sources. Engineering design process activities are carried out in 3 modules, namely, understanding the context of the problem, experimenting with materials and sail shapes capable of capturing wind energy, and designing windmills according to the results of previous experiments. The learning module is made by a service team with the teacher and then given to parents. Parents are expected to assist children during the implementation of activities. Students are encouraged to use STEM skills in designing windmills.

Abstract

The free platform is a free application that can be used to evaluate online learning. The problem is that teachers are hampered by using modern free platforms. Teachers still apply conventional assessments, such as printing paper, taking photos of student's work, and sending them via WhatsApp groups. This assistance is intended to describe the results of training on using free platforms to develop assessments in online learning for elementary schools in Kebumen Regency. Servants collaborated with several partners, namely Public Elementary School 4 Kedawung, Public Elementary School 2 Kewayuhan, Public Elementary School 1 Kewayuhan, and Public Elementary School 3 Kewayuhan. The first training was held on June 24, 2021. The service results showed that the preparation aspect had reached a sufficient percentage of 75.4%, while the implementation aspect had a percentage result of 80.1% in the high category. Moreover, the processing aspect reached a sufficient percentage of 75.4 %, and the utilization aspect reached 79% with a good category. From these results, it can be concluded that teachers can follow the procedures for using free platforms (Google Forms and Quizizz) to develop assessments quite well.

Abstract

Developing substitution products for mining equipment parts in local industries will have a significant economic impact. In addition, it will create independence in the supply of mining components, not relying on imports. However, Ceper metal casting area is still using traditional methods. This community service aims to improve product design and skills to support the supply chain availability of consumable mining equipment parts. Designing from existing components is not easy for small industries; therefore, it needs assistance from university experts. The method used design assistance in the production of bucket-adapter consumable parts. The mechanical engineering study program team assists with three stages of the process: (1) scanning, (2) triangulation, and (3) CAD modeling. The results showed that consumable parts had been successfully submitted to an industry partner to proceed to the following stages: (4) CAM and (5) machining. The consumable parts design improves quality and independence in manufacturing mining equipment parts. The local industry appreciated this activity because a good design can improve the process of developing consumable mining equipment parts.

Abstract

Utilizing learning materials that meet the requirements with the content of activities in learning activities is a form of teacher's efforts to create learning that actively develops student development. One form of teaching material that teachers can use is an activity-based learning module. The mentoring activity for the preparation of activity-based learning modules aims to improve the ability of teachers to develop activity-based modules as mentoring teaching materials for students at SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta. The number of teachers who participated in this activity was 92 teachers. Activities are carried out through several stages, namely activity-based learning module workshops, assistance in the preparation of activity-based learning modules, and evaluation of the results of activity-based learning module preparation. Based on the data obtained after participating in mentoring activities, they are in an outstanding category, where as many as 122 activity-based learning modules are declared feasible. The learning modules prepared by the teachers have been implemented in learning activities for the odd and even semesters of the 2021/2022 school year.

Abstract

Learning using the help of technological media is one of the exciting and considered effective learning methods where students can learn anywhere and anytime with the help of smartphones. In addition, learning in fields that require experience or more imagination in the material studied has its difficulties, such as how it works. The learning experience of vocational school students is primarily determined by the learning experience of educators/teachers. Debriefing teachers' ability to design, develop, and apply Augmented Reality (AR)-based multimedia as a learning medium is essential in increasing the attractiveness and enthusiasm of students in learning so that learning outcomes become more effective. Teacher knowledge of innovative learning technology through the application of Augmented Reality in learning innovation is essential, especially in the ability to design and practical skills of Augmented Reality applications are needed. The Augmented Reality-based application training aims to equip teachers of SMK Negeri 2 Karanganyar, especially in developing their learning media by applying more innovative and creative Augmented Reality software applications. The results from this activity show that Vocational school teachers have a reasonably competent and professional potential to develop more creative and innovative learning through a participatory training model approach. All vocational school teachers have a good competency achievement category of 85.6%. Vocational school teachers are pretty creative and innovative enough to have fulfilled the entirely professional category according to their expertise.
