Abstract

Bulu Ulaweng Village is a mountain village that is overgrown with palm trees. There are 20 household heads who work as sugar palm farmers. Where the average community processes 4-5 palm trees for production, so that in a day they will produce as much as 560 L of palm juice. Until now, the remaining sap for making shell sugar and ballo drinks has not been solved. Utilization of the remaining juice into vinegar is a form of counseling by the community service team at the University of Muhammadiyah Bone. The existence of this innovation can be a solution for partners' problems regarding the utilization of the remaining palm sap and has a high selling value. This counseling was attended by 7 people consisting of Women community of PKK Bulu Ulaweng Village. The activities carried out were in the form of an introduction to the purpose of holding training dissemination through community service activities, exposure to tools and materials and the stages of making natural vinegar from ballo. So that the community will be able to implement it independently as the end result of this counseling.

Abstract

In order to support the government's program in tackling the spread of Covid 19, the Curug sub-district, Bojongsari District, Depok mobilized PKK cadres, Posyandu and Karang Taruna in its implementation. However, these cadres have never received education regarding the implementation of service procedures for the community. So that sometimes, miscommunication occurs in the implementation of activities, and there are several complaints from the public regarding the quality of services provided. The D-IV Applied Business Administration (ABT) Study Program offers a solution by providing service management training to sub-district staff, Posyandu cadres, PKK, and Karang Taruna in improving village services to rural communities. Using the Plan, Do, Check and Action (PDAC) concept, it is hoped that the sub-district staff and village cadres can achieve their commitment to excellently serving the community and taking an active role in helping the government overcome Covid 19.

Abstract

The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred since the beginning of 2020 has paralyzed tourism activities in Metro City, Lampung Province. One of the affected tourist objects is the Warak Cave and the Macan Putih Cave, which are located in Tejosari Village, East Metro District. The development of tourist attractions which began to squirm since 2018 was paralyzed due to the outbreak. Entering the new normal era, it can be used as a momentum to introduce the concept of geotourism in Tejosari Village so that the development of tourist objects becomes more attractive in attracting tourists. The method used in this service activity is by direct observation in the field regarding geological conditions which are then disseminated to the community around the cave and to the managers of tourist attractions. The effort made by the service team is to provide counseling about the concept of geotourism and the efforts that can be made to optimize the tourism potential around the cave. The results obtained from this activity are an increase in public knowledge about geological conditions and the concept of geotourism.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted traders and craftsmen at the Inpres Market Vegetable Garden, West Balikpapan Regency, experiencing difficulties in obtaining and producing their merchandise. As one of the largest islands in Indonesia, Kalimantan stores various types of wood-producing plants, especially wood from tropical forests. In the process of harvesting wood, it produces small pieces of residue that are underutilized. In addition, most of the products sold at the Inpres Market are woven fabrics with typical Kalimantan motifs. With these resources, of course, it is highly expected to be developed as a typical regional product. The purpose of this activity is to ignite diversity and improve the quality of souvenir products produced by the people of the Inpres Market area, through a social entrepreneurship approach based on the capabilities and resources of the region. Assistance activities for creative product development with a combination of wood pieces and woven fabrics are needed to initiate independent communities in the pandemic era through knowledge and skills in producing superior products from waste materials. To achieve these objectives, the methods of preparation, implementation and evaluation are used. With community service in the form of training in making creative products, traders and craftsmen in the Pasar Inpres area are able to increase independence in producing superior products that can rebuild people's income during the pandemic.

Abstract

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has lasted almost two years. In Kampar Regency, there are a total of 3567 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of May 1, 2021. One strategy that can be taken to reduce this Covid case is the development of cadres who care about Covid for village communities to recognize and report cases immediately to health facilities. For this reason, the Environmental Science Postgraduate Service Team of the University of Riau carried out community service activities in Rumbio village, Kampar district, Riau. This activity begins with the preparation of educational materials and is given to village cadres in order to increase their understanding of COVID-19. The method in implementing this service activity is carried out in 4 (four) stages, namely (1) Socialization, (2) Competency Improvement, (3) Implementation of activities, and (4) Monitoring and Evaluation. This activity is assisted by Kukerta students and periodic monitoring is carried out after the counseling. We also handed over visual media for Posbindu in the form of posters and banners. The existence of community service activities can improve the health status of the community.

Abstract

In the midst of the health crisis due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, traditional medicine is an alternative that can be used by the community to break the chain of transmission and maintain body immunity. Immunity is important during the Covid-19 pandemic. The better a person's immune system is to fight infection, the less likely a person is to get the disease. The community has a very important role in efforts to develop traditional health by utilizing medicinal plants. Ginger and Turmeric are types of medicinal plants that are widely used as kitchen spices, and have benefits for increasing the body's immunity. The content of cincol and zingiberen in ginger acts as an antioxidant that can improve the work of the immune system. While turmeric contains curcumin compounds which act as an antiviral. The purpose of this research is to provide skills to the people of Muara Fajar Timur Village in processing medicinal plants into herbal products that are delicious to consume, useful for increasing immunity, and have economic value. Activities are carried out by direct training methods and distribution of herbal products to the community. The result of this activity is that the community can understand and be able to make herbal medicine. The success of this activity can be seen from the responses in the form of questions and answers and discussions with the training participants, the high interest of participants in participating in the activity and the benefits derived from this activity. This shows that this activity has been successfully implemented in Muara Fajar Timur Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Waste from tourism activities in the village of Rindu Hati can reduce the quality and sustainability of the environment. The purpose of this program is to empower the target community in managing waste into something of use and even economic value. Organic waste if left to decompose naturally without being processed will cause a bad smell and disturb the aesthetic view. For this reason, LOF (Liquid Organic Fertilizer) is the right choice organic waste management solution. Besides not spoiling the aesthetic view, LOF can be used to fertilize any plants around the Rindu Hati Village Area. This program is carried out with the stages of socializing the types of waste, training in organic waste management into LOF and assisting and empowering the community in LOF production. Participants in the POC training are women farmer groups (KWT) in Rindu Hati Village and managers of Tourism Villages. After conducting socialization, training and mentoring, it was found that the level of knowledge and skills of the community increased. This is evidenced by the success of the community in making LOF with a fermented fragrance and no bad smell. The target community is given composter and other materials to maintain the sustainability of the program.

Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020 had an impact on normal human activities, including library activities that have been carried out so far. Activities to stop library services manually to avoid direct contact with users as an action to prevent and transmit Covid-19. The purpose of this service is to find out the concept of digital services that can be done and provide an analysis of the application of information communication for several online services. The research method used is community service activities, namely counseling, implementation and innovation services that are carried out online. The online skill library is a modern library that already uses an automated system in its operations and has a collection of library materials mostly in digital format that is stored in a computerized architecture and can be accessed via mobile phones. The result of this service is the need for online library services through the application of the online skill library concept with four main discussions, namely photoshop, kinemaster, mechanics and culinary. Several online skill libraries on the front pages of Facebook and Instagram provide information related to the latest information from tips on becoming a culinary entrepreneur from scratch, health literacy services in preventing transmission, and a database of research results related to Covid-19.

Abstract

Babelan District, Bekasi Regency has an area of 63.60 km2, and has 87 fishery households (RTP) consisting of 46 RTP (fishermen), 35 RTP (cultivators), and 6 RTP (fishery product processors), which are quite potential to fishery business development. The processors have not taken advantage of the catch or the unsold fish culture because it is not in accordance with market demand so that sometimes fish are abundant and fish prices go down. In addition, the knowledge and skills of the processors are still lacking in diversification of processed fish made from raw fish and marketing which is only carried out around the area. district offline. The purpose of counseling is to increase knowledge, attitudes and skills in processing various types of processed fish made from raw fish and increase income. The extension method used is demonstration, discussion and practice. Data analysis was done descriptively. The target of the extension is the processing and marketer group in Babelan District. Extension materials regarding thorn-pulling milkfish, thorn-pulling milkfish Pepes, fishbone crackers and offline and online-based marketing. The results of the extension evaluation showed that the knowledge, attitudes and skills of the processing group and marketers had increased. Some POKLASAR are skilled in processing various kinds of processed fish raw materials and doing marketing online and offline.

Abstract

The dissemination product of technology is a continuing research result previously in related to the design prototype of child pedestrian pathway with building block concept. Material developed is the porous paving block. The aim of this paper is to describe and evaluate the dissemination product of technology of the porous paving block and the child pedestrian pathway design. The school area which is used by students and children need safety, comfortable and creative access as well as understanding the use of product porous paving block. The area of school for special needs Kreasi Mandiri does not have access with pavement yet and the school less understanding of suitable material for access of student’s activity. The community service team have constructed the porous paving block with design for children pedestrian as user. The result shows that area of dissemination has been used for pedestrian access and school activity such as sport. Outdoor activity has been the priority for school during pandemic era. Therefore, the dissemination has supported school activity. In the future the community service can be continued by the school with the program in improving school infrastructure through school environment development program.
