Abstract

This activity aims to develop technological innovations for processing functional sago crackers with the fortification of the fish flour as a new variant of the business during the COVID-19 pandemic for Kube "Dian Lestari" Selatpanjang in the context of developing sustainable small industrial businesses in the Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province. The method of implementing the activity is through counseling and direct training in the processing of sago crackers with the addition of 2% lead fish meal (20 g of fish flour from 1000 sago flour). The results of the service activities showed that all participants participated in the activities well, especially the Kube participants "Dian Lestari". The result of the product training activities was the making of sago functional (Biang fish). After deep-frying, they can get a new variant. The biscuits look neat and complete, and the color is bright gray. The taste of sago crackers becomes savorier, it tastes like fishing. The aroma of sago crackers is still dominant, typical of sago and a slight savory aroma of fish, with a crunchy and crumbly texture when eaten. The results of consumer assessments of functional sago crackers from giant fish have consumer acceptance in the "like and very like" category of up to 100%. The taste sensory factor determines the success of the new variant on the production of functional sago crackers with the fortification of 2% sago fish flour with a distinctive, savory, and delicious taste. The target of achieving 100% of the activities includes the participation of training participants, and the products produced. Characteristics of functional sago crackers (raw) have been nutrient content of 9.18% water, 3.75% protein, 1.48% fat, 0.66.6% ash, and 84.96% carbohydrates. Nutrient content of functional sago crackers of prickly fish (fried) has been moisture of 5.86%, protein 6.18%, fat 12.74%, ash 1.68%, and carbohydrates 73.54%.

Abstract

Communication is an important element used to help realize common interests in achieving a goal to be achieved. Communication is very necessary in the continuity of the learning process, especially during this Covid-19 period. The Covid-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to various sectors, including the education sector, where all rely on the use of technology that can connect teachers and students, thus making it easy for students to get good network coverage to take part in online learning. This is a major problem for students who live in areas with minimal signal, where each student has to struggle to find a signal and even climb a hill which of course will be dangerous for his safety, as happened in Pationgi village, where the location is very far from the city, resulting in network coverage in the village is very minimal. The implementation of PKM will be a solution for the community in providing an alternative by converting used frying pans into simple signal amplifiers. This used skillet will be combined with a repeater equipped with unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable so that the signal produced is much better and facilitates internet access through the empowerment of the youth of the Pationgi village mosque. The impact of implementing PKM supports the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic, increases partner creativity and supports digital literacy programs.

Abstract

This Community Service is a Student Creativity Program carried out by the partners of the Karang Taruna Group, Batulappa Village, Patimpeng District, Bone Regency. This activity aims to solve problems regarding E-Waste that occur due to continuous accumulation. E-Waste buildup usually occurs due to minor damage or has entered the end of use. E-Waste is one of the wastes made from hazardous materials, so it includes hazardous and toxic materials (B3) whose concentration will affect health and pollute the environment if it accumulates. E-Waste Processing, a very crucial impact is that generally the owner of the electronic service only burns the generated electronic waste. However, this can pollute the air and environmental ecosystems, so other efforts are needed in overcoming and reducing electronic waste for education to the Karang Taruna Group in Batulappa Village. E-Waste mix resin can be used as a means to channel the creativity of the Karang Taruan Group in Batulappa Village as a partner by processing the components that exist in E-Waste. The work produced can be commercialized with a high selling value to help improve the partner's economy as a provision for future skills for entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The main problem faced by catfish farmers in North Tangkerang Village is that the market of catfish is only in fresh form, so that when the catfish harvesting activities is abundant, the price of fish decreases. The solution to overcome this was by conducting training activities for the PKK group of North Tangkerang Village, about the processing techniques of catfish cultured products into crackers and catfish nuggets. This service activity goes through three stages in the form of lectures on processed fish product innovations, processed product manufacturing practices, process evaluation and knowledge improvement evaluation. The results of the evaluation of the process and increasing knowledge of the implementation of the training activities carried out showed that during practice all extension participants were directly involved at each stage carried out and seemed enthusiastic in following each stage of the activities. After the training activities, all participants were able to independently make the technique of making catfish crackers and nuggets. Increased knowledge and skills of training participants by 81%. In general (79%) strongly agree with the implementation of this activity and 21% agree. The impact of this activity is expected to be an alternative source of income for the PKK group in this village and can continue in the future because of the assistance in the form of equipment for the processed production from the UNRI LPPM ABDIMAS TEAM.

Abstract

The Covid-19 outbreak has a global impact, especially in terms of the community's economy, so that those affected by this outbreak find it difficult to finance their daily needs, therefore efforts are needed to increase people's income. One technology that can be applied is the cultivation of fish in tanks with vegetables (aquaponics). The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills about the cultivation of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) with aquaponics technology of the bucket fish farming system which can ultimately be used as additional income, besides that it is hoped that this activity can be used as an example in updating/information in the field of aquaculture. This socialization activity was carried out in the "Usaha Mandiri" Group of Binawidya Village, Binawidya District, Pekanbaru in June-November 2021. The results achieved in this activity were an increase in the skills knowledge of the training participants, namely the result of evaluating the level of community knowledge about water source technology with the following categories: Do not understand 10% and understand 90%, want to try 60%, the results of observations on the growth of catfish with an average weight of 119,00-127,00 g/indv. and 90% survival rate.
