Abstract

High stunting rates in rural areas are frequently driven by limited nutritional literacy and suboptimal parenting practices. This community service program aims to strengthen the capacity of the community in Dusun Krajan 2 for stunting prevention through specific nutritional interventions. The methodology utilized was Participatory Learning and Action (PLA), encompassing balanced nutrition education, demonstrations of animal-protein-based complementary feeding (MP-ASI) preparation, and supervised feeding practices. The results demonstrated an improvement in respondents' understanding of toddler nutrition and the partners' ability to independently prepare supplementary menus. The direct distribution of additional complementary food proved effective in enhancing toddlers' access to essential nutrients, including calcium and protein. This program recommends integrating parenting education into routine Posyandu services to ensure the sustainability of stunting prevention initiatives at the village level.

Abstract

Bullying poses a serious threat to adolescent mental health, yet prevention campaigns in schools are often hampered by teachers' limited ability to produce relevant digital educational content. This community service program aims to enhance the competence of Junior High School (SMP) teachers in Kulon Progo in designing contextual anti-bullying digital content. This initiative is a downstream implementation of the "Anti-Bully Digital Channel" research, offering social innovation engineering for character education. The methodology included participatory training, content creation practice, action plan development, and technical mentoring. Evaluation results demonstrated significant impact across four aspects: a 25.3% increase in conceptual understanding of bullying, 80% of participants successfully producing publication-ready digital content, a 37% rise in teacher confidence in handling bullying cases, and an 82% commitment from teachers to integrate digital campaigns into the school ecosystem. This program proves that enhancing teacher digital literacy is an effective strategy for creating a safe school climate responsive to digital era challenges.

Abstract

Character building in early childhood requires delivery methods that are engaging yet meaningful. This community service program aims to strengthen character education at PAUD Sehat Ceria Kutajaya through the implementation of structured storytelling as an educational communication strategy. The partner faced challenges in delivering effective moral messages and lacked story media relevant to the children's social context. The approach included needs analysis, developing value-based story modules, training educators in narrative communication techniques, and classroom practice mentoring. The results demonstrated two primary impacts: 1) Increased educator competence in designing plotlines and interactive vocal techniques; and 2) Positive changes in child response, marked by increased attention span, the ability to retell moral messages, and expressions of empathy during storytelling sessions. The program produced a character-based storytelling module ready for replication to ensure the sustainability of value education through a participatory and contextual communication approach.
