Abstract

Urbanization and welfare have become serious concerns in DKI Jakarta, especially with the increasing number of homeless people and beggars that have caused various social problems. The government has implemented comprehensive programs to address these issues, including a social rehabilitation program. Equipping social beneficiaries (WBS) with entrepreneurial skills is highly needed. This Community Service activity aims to unleashing entrepreneurial potential of WBS at the Panti Sosial Bina Karya (PSBK) Harapan Jaya, through the practice of developing marketing plans. Training was conducted through demonstrations, hands-on practice, and question-and-answer. This activity has successfully increased the knowledge of participants in developing simple yet effective marketing plans. A total of 85% of the participants stated that their understanding was better than before, and 80% of the participants felt capable of implementing it.

Abstract

Good communication between teachers and students will create a fun teaching and learning process and establish positive cooperation in efforts to develop school organizational capacity. In order to achieve this, the community service aims to support teachers in the learning process through effective organizational communication training. The implementation of this program begins with an initial assessment followed by increasing awareness regarding leadership and training in organizational capacity building with an effective organizational communication approach. The results of this program shows an increase in understanding and application of the importance of communication skills in school organizations by 85%. At the end of the program, a grant was given in the form of a sound system as an internal communication medium.

Abstract

The elderly is at risk of experiencing degenerative diseases compared to young people, one of which is Rheumatoid Arthritis. Rheumatoid Arthritis is a degenerative disease of the joints that can cause pain and stiffness and is still a major health problem in the world today. The aim of implementing this program is to educate the public about the correct management of Rheumatoid Arthritis so that they can avoid the adverse effects of joint pain and swelling, relieve stiffness and prevent joint damage. This program is carried out in the form of education and anti-rheumatic gymnastics. The results of this community service show an increase in partners' knowledge about efforts to prevent Rheumatoid Arthritis after education and practice of anti-rheumatic gymnastics.

Abstract

Pain is the main problem that occurs in postoperative patients. Most patients feel discomfort due to surgery, so apart from pharmacological therapy, other therapies are needed to reduce the pain scale. One of them is providing hypnopressure therapy which consists of hypnotherapy and acupressure. The aim of this community service is to provide knowledge of complementary therapy in the form of hypnopressure to postoperative patients at UNS Solo Hospital. Evaluation was carried out using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) to measure the pain scale before and after hypnopressure was given. The pain scale measurement results before hypnopressure were given were 5.44 and after therapy were 2.38. These results prove that hypnopressure therapy has succeeded in reducing the postoperative pain scale at UNS Solo Hospital.

Abstract

This training is based on the condition that teenagers in Simo District are productive internet users. Concerns are raised on how their digital footprint will impact their future. Teenagers in Simo District are mindful of their digital footprint, but unlikely have awareness of the positive potential of digital footprint. Digital footprint management is essential skill for teenagers to become good online citizen. This community service aims to provides training on how to manage digital footprints to members of PIK Pemuda Kampung KB. The results obtained from this training are that members of PIK Pemuda Kampung KB understand the importance of managing digital footprints as important effort in managing data security as well as to build a positive footprint that will benefit their future.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to assist village owned enterprises (BUMDes) through two approaches, namely strengthening BUMDes institutions based on collaboration and increasing the competence of BUMDes resources with entrepreneurial innovation. The method used in this community service activity is carried out in three stages, namely observation, workshop, and mentoring. Through this PKM, BUMDes Lamando Jaya was able to formulate a potential map and create a business plan document that can be applied to BUMDes’ governance. BUMDes administrators are able to bridge community programs as a village government agenda. Also through this program, BUMDes managers can optimize social media as a means of tourism and business promotion through educating content creation and photography techniques.

Abstract

Following the Covid-19 pandemic, the government is attempting to stimulate economic growth by supporting online enterprises and community empowerment. This includes the growth of less technologically advanced home industries. Consequently, the support of financial institutions is necessary for sustained development. The goal of the Bank BTN Syariah Surabaya's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program is to provide assistance and training of Marketing 4.0 to the local businesses Kopi Melek and I'in Bakery in Sugihwaras Village, Sidoarjo Regency. Activities carried out through the training method. The results show that the participants have understood the importance of online and offline marketing as mutually supportive strategies for product sales success. Partners also succeeded in redesigning product packaging and shop banners, using the Shopee marketplace platform, and doing social media branding on Instagram to increase competitiveness and sales.

Abstract

Negative interactions between humans and wildlife, as well as a decrease in the quality of wildlife habitat, can result in conflicts between humans and wildlife. Under certain conditions, this conflict can be detrimental to all parties involved. This Community Service (CS) project aimed to increase people’s knowledge and improve their attitude and perception towards the long-tailed macaque in Balun Ijuk Village. The project utilized three methods in stages: (1) Unstructured Interview, (2) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and (3) Socialization. Ultimately, this CS project had a positive impact by increasing knowledge and improving the attitude and perception of the people towards the long-tailed macaque in Balun Ijuk Village.

Abstract

As an island that well knowns as the island of a thousand mosques, the existence of Islamic boarding schools on Lombok Island is commonplace. With its existence, of Islamic boarding schools could be classified as one of the sources of waste generation. Lenterahati Islamic Boarding School (LHIBS) is one of the Islamic Boarding Schools in West Lombok Regency which has been made as a partner in the community service activities. The main goal is to increase the Islamic school student understanding of waste types and the effective waste management strategies. Two methods were applied, namely Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and composting training. The result achieved is an increase in students' understanding and skills in composting. This also means that there is a reduction in the amount of waste that is disposed of at the Final Disposal Site.

Abstract

Design and branding play a crucial role in attracting potential consumers for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and influencing their purchasing decisions. However, many MSME entrepreneurs still lack a clear understanding of how design and branding function, particularly as tools for product uniqueness and global market competitiveness. This program partners with Griya UKM Cinere, involving 20 MSMEs specializing in handmade crafts and fashion. The primary goal of this community service is to educate the partners about the significance of design, branding, and financial statements in boosting sales and serving as effective digital marketing tools. The program includes interactive discussions and training sessions, resulting in increased awareness among partners regarding the vital aspects of branding, design, and financial statements. Evaluation outcomes indicate that 75% of the participants have gained a solid grasp of the materials presented.
