Abstract

Cyber resilience is about protecting data and information owned by University XYZ and adapting business processes at University XYZ to ensure service continuity when cyber threats occur. However, University XYZ never evaluates its practices to implement security and data management. University XYZ needs to know its maturity level based on cyber resilience evaluation to improve its cyber resilience. Therefore, this research was carried out to evaluate cyber resilience at University XYZ using the Cyber Resilience Review (CRR) assessment by evaluating ten cyber resilience domains. The evaluation covers academic services that use the University XYZ academic information system. The evaluation process will be held through an interview with the process owner. The interview questions are based on CRR assessment. After the evaluation, we found that none of the domains in University XYZ had yet reached Maturity Indicator Level (MIL)-1. In addition, the overall performance percentage for each CRR domain had not yet reached 100%. An improvementrecommendation for each domain has also been made, containing guidance for implementing incomplete and noncommitted practices. University XYZ can implement cyber resilience practices according to recommendations so that the implementation process can run optimally, even thoughcyber threats occur from time to time.

Abstract

Business processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are an integral part of organizations as a guideline to do activities to achieve their objectives. However, the integrated laboratory, established in 2020 as one of XYZ University’s facilities to support learning and research activities, does not have an SOP yet. Thus, this study aims to design and develop business process models and SOP documents of integrated laboratory management as instructed in the Regulation of Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number 71 of 2017. The information regarding the business process was gathered by analyzing other laboratories’ SOP and interviewing stakeholders. The interviewees were the Head of Integrated Laboratory Center of XYZ and the Head and Secretary of LPPM. After being developed, the business process models and SOP were presented to and approved by the process owner. These study outcomes are 25 business process models and 25 SOP documents of integrated laboratory management that have been verified by the Head of the Integrated Laboratory Center of University XYZ. The SOP documents have been handed over to the Quality Assurance Center of University XYZ to be formalized.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the application of blended learning methods between expository and small group discussion in the Educational Research Course of the Building Engineering Education Study Program. This study follows a quantitative research method with a descriptive approach, with the hope of being able to identify the phenomenon of influence given by the mixed learning model. The sample of this research is 32 students of the Buildin Engineering Education Study Program who take educational research courses. The results of this study also indicate that the integration of the two learning models is proven to provide convenience for students in completing subjects. Almost all students can submit assignments on time for each material is 74%. The application of the combination of the Expository learning model with the Small group discussion method in the course is proven to be able to facilitate students in carrying out assignments according to what is given during learning activities.

Abstract

Audio amplifier servicing is one of the competencies to acquire electronic product assembly and servicing skills. The students taking this course found difficulties in learning the basic troubleshooting of an audio amplifier because of the absence of available learning materials for the hands-on experience in understanding essential audio amplifier servicing. It inspired the researcher to develop the audio amplifier trainer through research and development to improve the knowledge and skills of electronic product assembly and servicing students through simulation of the basic troubleshooting and servicing of a transistorized audio amplifier circuit. The study used the exploratory sequential approach method to determine the level of instructional device's level of acceptability and effectiveness; data were statistically analyzed using the weighted mean and the t-test; according to the study's findings, the experts assess portability, usability and content assessment of the instructional device asVery Much Acceptable. The trainer effectively demonstratedthe basic primary rubles of an audio amplifier, revealing the significant difference in the level of performance between the controlled and experimental groups, showing that the trainer is an effective instructional device.

Abstract

This study investigated the influence of human resource management on students’ academic performance in education zone A of Benue State. Two research questions guided the study. Two hypotheses were formulated and tested. A descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The study population consisted of 1713 teachers in 119 secondary schools, out of which 400 teachers were sampled. Data were collected through a self-developed Questionnaire titled “Human Resource Management and Students’ Academic Performance Questionnaire (HRMSAPQ).Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions. A Chi-square test of goodness of fit was used to test the hypothesis at a 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed a significant influence of teachers’ training on students’ academic performance in public secondary schools. The result also showed a substantial effect of teachers’ promotion on students’ academic performance in public secondary schools. It was, therefore, recommended that there is a need for the government to organize regular seminars, workshops, and in-service andconferences training to enhance productivity. Teachers should work harder to improve their knowledge and skills to be promoted to a higher level to boost their Morales to enhance students’ teaching and learning process for better performance.

Abstract

The education system applied in Indonesia to accept new students (PPDB) is currently zoning. Schools run by local governments are required to get prospective students who are domiciled in a predetermined zone radius. However, this zoning system is considered to impact private schools. Private schools with no brand may not last long because they lose many students. Therefore, one of the efforts schools must make to be recognized in the community is building a brand. The object of this research is the branding strategy in dealing with the impact of the zoning system. The subjects of this study were the principal, vice principal in the field of public relations, the public relations team, the coordinator of new student admissions (PPDB), teachers, and parents/guardians of students in that SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. The qualitative research uses a case study approach—interviews data collection techniques. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman qualitative data analysis technique: data collection, data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The results showed school branding as the best reference and child-friendly school. The strategy in taking advantage of school opportunities is to use school history as branding, form specialization classes, and take advantage of the alumni network. The design uses power to overcome the zoning system's threat to improve school performance and innovation in school promotion. The strategy to minimize the weaknesses of the zoning system is to improvise the PPDB strategy, which includes opening PPDB early and guaranteeing a refund of registration fees to students. The obstacles to the school branding strategy in dealing with the zoning system are divided into internal and external constraints. Internal constraints include a small number of teachers who are not motivated to move, and external constraints include a changing government system, and the implementation of PPDB is not simultaneous. The number of school-age children decreases from year to year. This research helps add insight, thoughts, knowledge, and information materials that can be used as a reference for education managers about school branding strategies in dealing with the impact of the zoning system.
