Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a variety of cultures, ethnicities, and races. This diversity is characteristic of the Indonesian state and the assets of the Indonesian people, in accordance with the motto of Unity in Diversity. Therefore, it is important for every citizen to have a sense of patriotism as a form of pride in the country of birth and shelter. The love of the motherland is not only implemented in the world of education, but also must be in the community, one of which is by conducting socialization to the community about the importance of the love of the motherland and then proceed with the screening of the Indonesian film titled "Merah Putih Memanggil (Red and White Calling)". This activity was carried out on Thursday, January 17, 2019, located in Jagoi Village, Jagoi Babang District. Participants in this activity were children and residents of Jagoi village and several members of the TNI from the Task Force Yonif 511 / DY. Through these activities, the aim is to further instill a sense of patriotism for participants who basically reside in the border area, namely the village of Jagoi, Jagoi Babang.

Abstract

Free Tutoring Program conducted by lecturers collaborate with students STKIP Singkawang seeing their children's needs will be additional learning after school. Tutoring helps students in doing homework on a given subject in school and help the students' understanding of the lessons they do not understand at school. In addition to assisting students in understanding cognitive activities, tutors also inculcate moral values are good to the students as a way to talk, behave towards older people and others. Tutoring also helps faculty to see the education of elementary school children in pajintan and tutors teach students to develop their abilities in front of the children as their stock later after becoming a teacher. Tutoring activity is carried out twice a week is Saturday and Sunday at 15: 00-16: 030. Kids will get together and tutor will ask them what they learned today. Then divide each tutor will be in accordance with the appropriate number of students and subjects what they want to learn. The number of students in the activities is 26 students tutoring kids who follow learning have willingness to learn. Results are expected after tutoring activities are the students who are expected to gain new knowledge or mastery of a better school after attending tutoring

Abstract

Dalam upaya menghentikan penyebaran virus korona (Covid-19) pemerintah telah mengalihkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang biasanya tatap muka disekolah menjadi pembelajaran daring dirumah masing-masing. Permasalahan yang telah diidentifikasi di Desa Betak salah satunya adalah rendahnya kepedulian serta pengawasan orang tua terhadap pola penggunaaan teknologi kepada anak-anak. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan sosialisasi dan membantu masyarakat Desa Betak dalam meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap pemanfaatan teknologi dan informasi di tengah pandemi melalui fitur Google Family Links untuk android.Metode dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat  terdiri dari :1) Tahap Observasi, 2) Tahap Persiapan, 3) Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan 4) Tahap evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan bertempat di kantor Balai Desa adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Kegiatan Sosialisasi pemberian informasi kepada masyarakat tentang bahaya penyalah gunaan gawai untuk anak-anak telah dilaksanakan dengan lancar; 2) Kegiatan pelatihan dalam meningkatkan kepedulian Masyarakat Desa Betak terhadap pemanfaatan Teknologi serta Informasi di masa pandemi, dengan memanfaatkan google family link telah dilaksanakan dengan baik.

Abstract

The activities dedicated to the community for environmental management and empowerment of communities through the development of tourism potential are implemented by partnering up the PKK suport team, the domestic chairman and the weal community.  It aims to give understanding, khowledge, and empower societies to realize a society conscious of a tourist environment that must be maintained and preserved.  These environmental management and community empowerment activities are done by methods of speech, discussion, question-and-answer, and demonstration. The benefits of this activity includes; (1) Together people build tourist areas (2) It grows and increases people’s sense of and cares for the beautiful of Batu Burung, (3) To encourage people to participate in the preservation of Batu Burung,  (4) Assisting the goverment program to promote tourist areas aspecially Batu Burung sites that are still not widely known by outside Sedau society, and (5) provides services that can enable visitors to know where Batu Burung is located and provide products fo garbage diposal on Batu Burung Beach..

Abstract

Dedication to the society is done in the form of socialization awareness of the dangers of drugs among students. This activity aims to provide understanding and knowledge of the dangers of drugs, in order to be able to avoid the abuse of drugs. This activity also aims to foster a healthy culture from an early age. The importance of growing a healthy culture among drug-free adolescents. Subjects of dedication to society activities are  the students grade VI in the 66 East Singkawang national School which amounted to 21 students. The socialization and mentoring activities were conducted by lecture, demonstration, discussion and practice with question and answer. Availability of adequate expert in providing socialization, the enthusiasm of the participants, support by goverment, RT and RW to the implementation of activities and financial support from STKIP Singkawan is a supporter of this dedication activity. Benefits to be gained by participants of this dedication activity is with these activities can provide awareness to students about the dangers of drugs. This socialization activity also can giving an understanding of the importance of healthy culture from an early age.

Abstract

This study has a goal to improve the competence of elementary school teachers at SD N 1 Wadunggates Klaten through virtual citation training using Mendeley. The methods used in this community service included lecturing, implementation of Mendeley Desktop, practice, assignments, and questions and answers. Then, the partner school was involved to play an active role through various activities and training to be implemented. The training activities carried out in this community service showed that, after the implementation of the Mendeley training, the knowledge of the teachers significantly increased. It appears that most of them have acquired sufficient additional knowledge. Mendeley training can be a supporting means of making good and appropriate scientific references.

Abstract

The level of education of the people is still low and the number of illiterates and Arabic letters for the Muslim community is still high. There are still many people in Gresik Village in Jagoi Babang District who cannot read Hijaiyah letters. Conditions that occur in a society consisting of age -up and children. In order to eradicate the illiteracy of the Hijaiyah letters , various methods are carried out so that it is easy and can be learned or understood by every Muslim who has not been able to read the Holy Qur'an,. Effort undertaken to face these challenges include the illiteracy eradication program for people who already have a low level of formal education. Therefore, one of the initial steps done is to implement a program of socialization eradication Arabic letters on the community, especially the W arga Coarse sand . Activity is more effectively facilitate Villagers Coarse sand in order to foster interest for who can not read the letters hijaiyah mempelaj ari how to read the Quran. The objectives of the PKM-M program include eradicating Arabic illiteracy, increasing insight andknowledge, increase the ability and awareness of self potential in the community of Gresik Village and provide motivation for Hijaiyah letters. The implementation of community service includes several methods, namely lectures, questions and answers, practice and evaluation. with the socialization of a good impact on the understanding of the letter hijaiyah and foster interest in reading al-Quran with easier-aided guidance . the conclusion of the activity had a good impact on the understanding of hijaiyah letters from the people of Gresik Village. With the community service activities of STKIP Singkawang, the people of Gersik Village felt helped.

Abstract

Training and mentoring program aims to facilitate the community in Pangmilang Village Singkawang especially for mothers of households to take advantage of the patchwork that often is not considered useful to be harnessed into a doormat. The patchwork can be collected from the local tailor was in the village Pangmilang, so it has the potential to be used as an extra income by making doormats. The resulting mat has three different types and models of doormats, i.e. the model's braids, mats models and model leaves. In the implementation of training and mentoring still-based household industries with capital and limited production, the production process is still very simple. The program is realized through the method of STM (socialization, training, and mentoring), namely through the practice directly in the field. Results obtained from the training and mentoring programs are the housewives are already skilled in making doormats made from patchwork foot and it can market products produced in the region around the Village Pangmilang.

Abstract

Permasalahan UMKM handcraft di Desa Babakanmulya adalah kesulitan dalam media pemasaran dan masih rendahnya kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dalam memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana dalam memasarkan produk handcraft. Adanya permasalahan tersebut menjadi perlu adanya sebuah pelatihan terkait optimalisasi penggunaan media sosial sebagai upaya memperluas jangkauan pemasaran produk. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman, pengetahuan dan wawasan mengenai optimalisasi penggunaan media sosial dalam upaya meningkatkan jangkauan pemasaran produk handcraft . Metode pengabdian yang digunakan yaitu ceramah, workshop, praktik, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa terciptanya media promosi produk sebagai sarana pemasaran serta meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan pemilik UMKM dalam pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai strategi  meningkatkan jangkauan pemasaran produk handcraft.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini mengkaji tentang kendala yang dihadapi petani dalam upaya pengembangan hasil pertanian jagung yang disebabkan oleh masyarakat yang belum mengenal teknologi pengolahan produk olahan jagung. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan kreativitas masyarakat dalam mengolah jagung menjadi produk olahan baru yang berdaya jual tinggi dan bernilai ekonomis. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu tahap persiapan dan pembekalan, pelaksanaan, dan rencana keberlanjutkan program. Observasi serta wawancara dilakukan guna pengumpulan informasi yang lebih konkrit. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terlaksananya kegiatan pengolahan jagung (Nguping) sehingga menambah pengetahuan warga akan olahan lain dari hasil pertanian jagung di Desa Kumba, Kecamatan Jagoi Babang.
