Abstract

This study aims to reveal the representation of Islamic boarding school values ​​in the 2020 Islamic Elementary School (MI) Arabic language textbook published by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This textbook not only serves as a language learning medium, but also serves as an instrument for character building through narratives and illustrations rich in symbolic meaning. The method used is qualitative with visual and text analysis techniques, including interpretation of verbal and nonverbal signs (images, symbols, and illustrations) in the textbook. The results show that there are various representations of Islamic boarding school values ​​such as politeness, courtesy, discipline, and Islamic identity shown through symbols such as neat uniforms, peci (traditional cap), jilbab (headscarf), and interactions between students and teachers. These signs are analyzed through Barthes's three levels of meaning: denotative, connotative, and mythological, which ultimately lead to the construction of Islamic boarding school educational ideology in formal classrooms. These findings have important implications for the development of Arabic language textbooks that emphasize not only linguistic aspects but also serve as a medium for transmitting Islamic values ​​in a contextual and down-to-earth manner.

Abstract

Transformasi digital abad ke-21 mendorong dunia pendidikan untuk terus beradaptasi melalui pemanfaatan teknologi untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan bermakna. Kurikulum Merdeka membuka ruang bagi inovasi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa, sekaligus memperkuat kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Deep learning hadir sebagai alternative pedagogis yang menekankan proses belajar mendalam melalui kesadaran, bermakna dan menggembirakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji optimalisasi pembelajaran bermakna melalui penerapan deep learning pada implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah dasar. Dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi pustaka, kajian menunjukkan bahwa deep learning meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui inkuiri, proyek, pemecahan masalah, kolaborasi, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Namun, penerapannya masih terkendala keterbatasan sarana, kesenjangan akses digital, dan kompetensi guru yang belum merata. Temuan menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kapasitas guru, dukungan fasilitas, serta perencanaan pembelajaran yang fleksibel dan kontekstual.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Flipcard Mini media based on visual storytelling on students’ learning outcomes in the Pancasila Education subject for fourth-grade students at MI Al As’ad Brambang Jombang. Flipcard Mini is designed to help students understand Pancasila values through two-sided illustrations that construct simple visual narratives. This research employed a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest model involving 30 students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, indicated that the data were not normally distributed. The results show a significant increase between the pretest and posttest scores, demonstrating that Flipcard Mini effectively enhances students’ understanding of Pancasila concepts. These findings indicate that visual storytelling media can create more engaging, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences, making it a suitable alternative instructional medium for elementary school Pancasila Education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjawab rendahnya kreativitas siswa dan minimnya LKPD inovatif berbasis STEAM di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Tujuannya mengembangkan dan menguji LKPD STEAM untuk seni rupa kelas III MI. Posisi penelitian mengisi celah antara teori dan praktik dengan menghadirkan produk kontekstual. Metode R&D model 4D melibatkan validasi ahli, uji kepraktisan pada guru dan siswa, serta uji efektivitas dengan desain pretest-posttest. Hasil utama: LKPD sangat valid (skor rata-rata 3,72), sangat praktis, dan efektif meningkatkan kreativitas secara signifikan (p<0,05) dengan effect size besar (0,82). N-Gain 0,68 (kategori sedang) dengan peningkatan tertinggi pada orisinalitas.

Abstract

Bullying in elementary schools remains a critical concern as it hampers students’ socio-emotional development, academic progress, and mental well-being. This study aims to analyze the contributing factors, forms of bullying behavior, its impacts, and the preventive measures that can be implemented in elementary school settings. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, data were collected using questionnaires administered to elementary school students. The data were analyzed using frequency distributions and percentage tabulations to identify patterns of bullying behavior and its underlying causes. The findings reveal that the most dominant factors include imbalanced social interactions, peer-group influences, and inadequate teacher supervision. The impacts experienced by students involve decreased learning motivation, emotional disturbances such as anxiety and social withdrawal, as well as the potential emergence of further aggressive behaviors. Effective preventive measures include the implementation of empathy-based character education, strengthening teachers’ supervisory roles, fostering a safe and inclusive school culture, and enhancing parental involvement in school communication. This study emphasizes the importance of collaborative efforts among all school stakeholders to create a bullying-free learning environment and to support students’ holistic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the An-Nahdliyah method in improving the learning outcomes of students in Islamic Elementary Schools (MI). The research method used is qualitative descriptive analytic with research subjects including ustadz, ustadzah, students, and madrasah principals in three MI in East Java. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies for six months. The results showed that the An-Nahdliyah method effectively improves students’ ability to read the Quran with an increase in accuracy of makharijul huruf by 85%, ability to read tartil by 78%, and reading speed by 40% without reducing the quality of reading. Supporting factors for success include adequate teacher competence, conducive learning infrastructure, and support from parents and the community. Student responses showed high enthusiasm with a motivation level of 92%, which contributed to increased self-confidence and interest in learning the Quran. Challenges faced include the heterogeneity of students’ initial abilities and limited learning time. This research provides an important contribution to the development of more effective Qur’an learning methods that are appropriate to the context of Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Cultural Arts learning through macrame craft activities for fifth-grade students at SD 2 Purworejo. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving the Cultural Arts teacher and fifth-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during the learning process. The results indicate that the implementation of PjBL through macrame projects was effective and carried out through systematic stages, including preparation, demonstration, practice, refinement, and reflection. Students demonstrated active participation, good collaboration, and improvement in creativity and fine motor skills.
