<![CDATA[The times are changing rapidly, along with the many technologies created by humans. On the one hand, technology brings many positive influences to facilitate human life. But on the other hand, technology can also have negative consequences for people who use it incorrectly. One of the negative impacts of today's technological developments, can be seen from the increasing number of delinquency cases among adolescents. Therefore, many parents are confused and don't know what to do, due to the influence of digital technology that has damaged the character of teenagers, especially for teenagers in BNKP Congregation Hiliomasio Medan. To solve this problem, researchers used qualitative research using a descriptive approach method. Where researchers go directly into the field so that they can find accurate and accountable data. The results of this research include: 1) the implementation of church mentorship on Christian Religious Education in the Family still needs to be further improved, 2) the church needs to give more serious attention to the teaching of Christian Religious Education for all congregations, and 3) implementation Christian Religious Education in the Family towards efforts to shape the character of adolescents in the digital era, still looks very lacking.]]>

<![CDATA[Honoring one's parents is the fifth of the ten commandments of God found in the book of Exodus. Over time, the attitude of respect for parents has decreased which is quite alarming. This is marked by the emergence of phenomena and cases that occur in neglected elderly and do not receive adequate services by their families and relatives around them. This study aims to provide an understanding and implications of the text output 20:12 so that readers have more respect for the elderly in the family and community environment. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach related to the attitude of respect for the elderly contained in Exodus 20:12 to explain how to respect parents, especially the elderly. The results obtained are that Exodus 20:12 reflects the true respect for the elderly where it can be a guide for the welfare of the elderly in Indonesia, especially the Christian elderly. This respect is realized through the understanding that children as part of the family are not only supportive as a support system from the physical side but also spiritually.]]>

<![CDATA[The advancement of the virtual world has formed a generation of Native Digitals who are out of control, unhindered, and connected. The global world is presented freely with negative life values, meaningless and like without God. The use of quiet massive media technology every day for three hours 14 minutes per day can have ungood effects such as stress, depression, even not caring about spirituality. This generation is known to have experienced a major shift in the spiritual world, no longer believing in the existence of God. The question is how to solve the problem of native digital spirituality when churches with all forms of their ministry practices are no longer in demand? How do Christian influencers act in Native Digital outreach? And what kind of Mission and Evangelism can be done? The argument is that Christian influencers have a role and penetration capacity as an answer in missionary actions and evangelism to reach Native Digitals. Several steps of penetration [1] demonstrate the position of Christian influencers as extensions of church ministry in the media space. [2] Maximize mission and evangelism through a high degree of flexibility. [3] Preparation for ministry in a deep spiritual capacity. The purpose of this research is so that Christian influencers can play the highest role as spiritual media in Native Digital spiritual missions and outreach. The second thing is to become a liaison for the Church in the virtual world to bring this generation back to being connected to the local Church. Third, bring this generation to be saved. A research method is a qualitative approach with data collection through literature study and observation. <![CDATA[This article aims to determine the role of the church (specifically the Voice of the Gospel Church) in caring for pluralism in Indonesia. Pluralism is a gift from God to the Indonesian people. However, pluralism in Indonesia, especially religious pluralism, has been tested. An inaccurate understanding by a group of people has given rise to intolerant actions that injure pluralism which were mutually agreed upon by the founders of the Indonesian nation. By using qualitative research methods with an exploratory study approach, this research contributes knowledge about the response of the Voice of the Bible Truth Church in Medan City in an effort to care for pluralism in Indonesia, including building inter-religious cooperation with all components of society in realizing a just and prosperous society, have an attitude of tolerance for differences in society, and the church should not be reactive to acts of intolerance; Instead, you have to show love in action. The church initiated interfaith dialogue to overcome deadlocks in religious pluralism.]]>

<![CDATA[Kaum marginal adalah mereka yang tersisihkan dalam kehidupan masyarakat oleh karena status sosial mereka yang rendah, dan dianggap sebagai sampah masyarakat. Kaum marginal terpinggirkan dalam segala bidang, termasuk dalam bidang keagamaan yang berhubungan dengan iman. Berdasarkan penelitian, kaum marginal cenderung mendapatkan stigma negatif karena latar belakang dan status sosial, bahkan dalam hal iman, masyarakat cenderung memiliki stigma negatif terhadap kaum ini, karena kaum marginal dianggap memiliki kualitas iman yang rendah dan cenderung tidak percaya kepada Tuhan. Hal ini menyebabkan tumbuhnya sikap fatalistik, rasa malu, dan rasa terasingkan, sehingga hal ini membuat hati mereka cenderung ragu akan kebijaksanaan dan kasih Allah. Oleh karenanya kajian terhadap tokoh Rahab dalam narasi Yosua 2:1-24 untuk membahas secara khusus mengenai iman seorang marginal dalam masyarakat zaman Kanaan kuno, yang lewat perbuatannya ia membuktikan imannya yang sejati kepada Allah. Studi tentang iman tokoh Rahab ini merupakan refleksi teologis terhadap iman kaum marginal di masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penafsiran eksposisi terhadap narasi, berdasarkan prinsip hermeneutik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kualitas iman atau iman yang sejati dari seorang tidak bisa diukur berdasarkan status sosialnya, karena iman yang sejati lahir dari hati yang takut akan Tuhan, yang tercermin dalam perbuatan.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of writing this article is to see the effectiveness of supervision in monitoring the performance of Christian Religious Education teachers in schools. The basic problem in this paper is that researchers still find some Christian Religious Education teachers who have not carried out their duties optimally based on the applicable rules. Based on the subject matter, the task of supervision seeks to carry out its functions as described in this article. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The results obtained in this paper show that by observing, directing, coaching and checking administration, it has a very positive impact on the performance of teachers in schools and is more organized in carrying out their duties and carrying out their responsibilities in accordance with the main tasks they carry out. Thus, it seems that there are no teachers who are neglected and who neglect each of their duties.]]>

<![CDATA[Adolescent and youth as the next generation have important roles for the church. Their enthusiasm and creativity are very needed in participating for the church ministry and development. Adolescent and youth spirituality building through worship is being very fundamental so that they may involve in developing the church. Nevertheless, it cannot be dennied that adolescent and youth assume that activities outside the church is more interesting than worship, coachings through the worship is considered not suitable so that impact to their spiritual life. This study aimed to know pastor’s role as an effort of Christian Education to the adolescent and youth spirituality enhancement. This research was using survey method with causal on the analysis. The result showed that pastor has a significant role in Christian Education to the adolescent and youth spiritual improvement. Coaching conducted by the pastor through Christian Education teaching in worship or fellowship as well as joint activities will impact on adolescent and youth spiritual improvement to be more growing in Christ.]]>

<![CDATA[Pernikahan merupakan suatu tradisi Alkitabiah yang tidak putus hingga masa sekarang. Akan tetapi, ada hal yang cukup kontras dalam sebuah pernikahan secara umum, yakni tentang pernikahan beda keyakinan. Pernikahan semacam ini sudah dilakukan sejak dari masa lalu sampai sekarang. Hal tersebut, jika dilakukan oleh orang Kristen akan berdampak negatif bagi iman, gaya hidup, dan spiritualitasnya. Oleh sebab itu, penulis hendak ingin menganalisis bagaimana seharusnya cara gereja dalam menyikapi hal tersebut. Metode yang digunakan penulis, yakni metode studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pernikahan Kristen merupakan pernikahan yang dipersatukan oleh Allah dengan dasar kasih di mana mereka yang dipersatukan (suami-isteri) hidup untuk menjalankan visi dan misi Allah yaitu dengan menghadirkan kerajaan Allah di bumi. Oleh sebab itu, gereja perlu memandang pernikahan beda keyakinan adalah sesuatu hal yang tidak Alkitabiah dan tidak sesuai dengan identitas kekristenan. Jadi, gereja perlu mengambil tindakan yang tepat, yakni: Pertama, melaksanakan pendidikan agama Kristen (PAK) kepada muda-mudi tentang bagaimana memilih pasangan hidup sebelum membentuk bahtera rumah tangga. Kedua, menanamkan kepada jemaat bagaimana menegakkan kerajaan Allah di bumi lewat pernikahan. Ketiga, memastikan bahwa setiap jemaatnya sudah memiliki hidup lahir baru.]]>

<![CDATA[Sebagai komunitas orang percaya, Gereja tidak bisa terlepas dari yang namanya perselisihan. Perbedaan latar belakang, ekonomi, pendidikan setiap anggota jemaat yang akan terus menjadi pemantik terjadinya perselisihan dalam Gereja. Melihat realitas tersebut, penulis dalam tulisan ini hendak memberikan implikasi terciptanya spiritualitas pengampunan sebagai dasar rekonsiliasi dalam Gereja. Implikasi tersebut ditarik dari kisah perselisihan antara Paulus dan Barnabas. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini yaitu kualitatif dan studi pustaka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menunjukkan nilai spiritualitas pengampunan dalam kisah perselisihan antara Paulus dan Barnabas, yang bisa dijadikan dasar rekonsliasi dalam Gereja. Hasil penelitian yang didapat bahwa spiritualitas pengampunan menjadikan warga jemaat tahu akan keterbatasan manusia sebagai makhluk yang terbatas, mudah goyah akan godaan untuk melakukan kesalahan. Tetapi, dengan spiritualitas pengampunan, akan ada kesadaran bagi mereka yang melakukan kesalahan untuk melakukan intropeksi diri dan tidak melanjutkan perselisihan.]]>

<![CDATA[Data shows the huge impact of the pandemic on workers globally, including in Indonesia. Workers’ rights have directly become an issue along with companies and entrepreneurs who continue to suffer losses. A church that has a social responsibility should pay more attention to this. However, in reality, this is an issue that is rarely discussed. The social assistance provided to the community is mostly limited to ceremonial purposes in celebrating certain ecclesiastical celebrations. Moreover, the church rarely voices the rights of the economically oppressed people firmly. Therefore, this paper intends to contribute to theological thinking and advocacy for the issue of workers' rights during the pandemic. This theological thinking is built on the narrative analysis of Deuteronomy 24:14-15. This analysis is expected to be useful to remind us that concerns regarding workers' rights have existed since ancient times. Therefore, this analysis aims to provide an overview and an invitation to all parties, especially the church, to pay attention to this issue. In the end, the reflections of this paper will provide advocacy related to workers' rights during the pandemic that can be developed by readers. I hope that concerns regarding workers' rights during the pandemic can grow and become daily spirituality.]]>
