Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes (IPAS) by using the outdoor learning method, particularly in recognizing plant parts, for children with mild intellectual disabilities at SLB Pelita Kasih. The research method used is Single Subject Research (SSR) with an A-B-A research design. This design involves three phases: baseline I, intervention, and baseline II. In the baseline I phase, students learn about plant parts without any outdoor learning intervention. Then, in the intervention phase, the outdoor learning method is applied, where students learn outside the classroom by interacting directly with plants. The baseline II phase is conducted to measure the results after the intervention. The study results show a significant improvement in student learning outcomes during the intervention phase compared to the baseline I phase, with an average score of 6 in baseline I, 13.71 during the intervention, and 16.67 in baseline II. The average score in the baseline II phase is higher than in baseline I, confirming the success of this method. By using the outdoor learning method, there is an increase in the understanding of plant parts among students with mild intellectual disabilities through more concrete and interactive learning

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Slide Show PowerPoint learning media enhanced with audio effects to support students' understanding of mathematical concepts, particularly in the area of circle measurement.The method used is the Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments in this study include validation sheets, practicality sheets, and effectiveness sheets. The validation sheet assesses the validity of the media based on input from experts regarding text, images, audio, and its suitability to the subject matter. The practicality sheet uses a questionnaire to obtain student responses regarding the clarity of text, images, presentation of material, and ease of use of the media. Meanwhile, the effectiveness sheet is used to measure differences in student understanding through a pretest before using the media and a posttest. The data analysis used in this study is a feasibility test in the form of a validity test by media experts with scoring guidelines using a Likert scale.The results of the study indicate an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts; 73% of students achieved a high category with scores above the minimum competency standard (KKTP). Additionally, 90% of students reported that the media was worthy to use, helped in understanding concepts. These results demonstrate that technology-based media, such as Slide Show PowerPoint with audio effects, is effective in enhancing students' understanding and interest in mathematics learning

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly the theme of “The Voice of Democracy,” to equip students with practical experience in democracy. This study aims to describe the implementation of this theme at the Semarang Pharmacy Foundation Vocational School and analyze its suitability with the principles of project-based learning and democratic theory in education.The research method used a qualitative approach with interview techniques, non-participatory observation, and document analysis. The research subjects included the facilitator team, homeroom teachers, and students. Data analysis followed the Miles & Huberman model.The results show that SMK Yayasan Pharmasi has formed a team of facilitators consisting of guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, student affairs vice principals, and student council advisors. The activities are carried out in three stages—preparation, implementation, and evaluation—all of which are student-centered. Most of the activities are student initiatives and involve almost all students. The entire process has implemented project-based learning and reflects democratic principles. However, several weaknesses were found, namely the low interest of students in being nominated as leaders and the difficulty of involving 12th grade students who are undergoing practical training in the election process. In addition, several democratic roles such as critics, opposition, legislature, and judiciary have not yet emerged in the implementation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the results of the validity, effectiveness, and practicality test of the results of the development of Tong Counting learning media on the addition and subtraction material of grade II elementary school students. This development research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The data analysis in this study uses quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The data analysis technique in this study uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques.The results of the validity test by 2 validators in the media aspect obtained a score of 94.32% included in the "Very Good" qualification. The results of the validity test by 2 validators on the material aspect were obtained a score of 84.38% included in the "Very Good" qualification. The results of the effectiveness test of Tong Bercounting learning media in the pretest and posttest using the Paired Sample T-Test obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the effectiveness test in the pretest and posttest using N-Gain were known that the mean N-Gain score of 0.6370 was included in the moderate criteria. The mean N-Gain percent, which is 63.6963%, is included in the criteria that are quite effective. The results of the practicality test obtained a score of 87.5%, which is included in the "Very Practical" qualification. The Tong Counting media is suitable, practical, and effective for use in elementary school students' mathematics learning

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve Critical Thinking Ability and Learning Outcomes through the application of the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) model assisted by Canva media. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the research subjects being class III students at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta, totaling 27 students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, tests and non-tests. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive. The results of this research consist of two cycles: (1) cycle I from the application of the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) model, critical thinking skills with an average of 33%, then for learning outcomes the average was 40.7%; (2) cycle II is a follow-up to the weaknesses and deficiencies in the first cycle, at this stage the results of critical thinking skills increase by 70%, then the average learning results are 85%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) model approach can improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes for class III students at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta.

Abstract

This research analyzes the application of the concept of Islamic education in the book of Ta'limul Muta'allim at SDIT Al-Huda Bawean and how the integration of the concept of Islamic education in the book with the independent curriculum. The concept of Islamic education in Ta'limul Muta'allim covers five aspects, namely educational goals, curriculum, educators, students, and learning methods. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method through observation, interviews, and documentation.The results showed that the concept of Islamic education in the Ta'limul Muta'allim book has been applied at SDIT Al-Huda Bawean in an effort to shape the character of students. The curriculum is oriented towards useful basic knowledge (science of things), and the role of educators as role models in morals and knowledge. Integration with Merdeka Curriculum can be seen from the flexibility in the learning process, the application of problem-based learning methods, and the emphasis on the formation of the Pancasila Student profile. In addition, learning methods such as mudzakarah (discussion) and munadharah (healthy debate) are in line with active learning strategies in the Merdeka Curriculum.In conclusion, the concept of Islamic education in the Ta'limul Muta'allim book is applied effectively and is relevant to the needs of modern education. Its integration with the Merdeka Curriculum can be a solution in forming an intellectually and spiritually superior generation. This finding provides insight for Islamic educational institutions to adapt classical education concepts into the contemporary education system

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the improvement of teacher performance in enhancing the quality of education at SD Negeri 230 Palembang. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, supporting staff, as well as students and parents as additional informants. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that teachers' performance improvement still faces several challenges, such as a lack of effective supervision and limited innovation in teaching strategies. However, the principal's supervision plays a crucial role in supporting teacher performance through continuous guidance and evaluation. The study concludes that enhancing teacher performance can be achieved by optimizing the role of school leadership, providing professional training, and implementing adaptive and innovative teaching strategies, thereby contributing positively to the quality of education at SD Negeri 230 Palembang.

Abstract

In addition to formal and non-formal education, English language skills in this modern era can also be improved in various ways, both structured and independent. One way that can be done to improve English skills independently is by listening to English songs. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of listening to English songs on improving English language skills. The type of research used in this study is quantitative. The study was conducted on English Education students at Muria Kudus University. Based on the results of the study obtained from 83 research respondents who attended, it can be seen that listening to English songs can improve English listening, pronunciation, reading, understanding and writing skills

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop and test the feasibility of the educational science comic "The Adventures of Lintang and Gatra in the Solar System," which discusses the solar system and the impact of light pollution. This innovation was based on the low understanding of the material by seventh-grade students at SMP 2 Jekulo, due to the dominance of conventional learning and the lack of interactive visual media, despite the students' preference for comics. This research employed a research and development (R&D) method. The development was conducted using the 4D model, consisting of the stages of define, design, develop, and dissemination. The data collection process involved two types of data: quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data were obtained from product validation conducted by experts (media, materials, and practitioners). Qualitative data were obtained from various suggestions and input provided by experts. Data collection instruments included validation instruments (media experts, material experts) and questionnaires from teacher and student responses. The validation results indicated high feasibility: material experts (94.55% very valid), media experts (95% very valid), and practitioners (933.33% very feasible). Positive responses from seven students (94.44%) indicated that the comic was engaging, easy to understand, relevant, and effective in increasing interest and independence in learning. The educational comic "The Adventures of Lintang and Gatra in the Solar System" proved to be highly valid and feasible as an innovative solution at SMP 2 Jekulo. This medium effectively increased students' understanding of the abstract concept of the solar system and raised awareness of light pollution issues.

Abstract

Lowstudent reading skills are influenced by teaching methods that lackvariety and teachers' limitations in selecting interesting reading materials. The purpose ofthis study is to improve teachers' teaching skills, student learning activities, and student reading skills by using the speed reading methodassisted by smart envelope media.This research method used a two-cycle classroom action research (CAR) conducted at Suntri Elementary School, Suntri Village, Gunem District, Rembang Regency, with 10 fourth-grade students as subjects. Data were collected through observation, tests, structured interviews, and documentation, using observation sheets, interview guidelines, and test questions as instruments. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively to see the increase in reading ability anddescriptively and qualitatively to describe the activities of teachers and students during theaction.The results of the study showed that teachers' teaching skills improved from 80.5% in cycle I to 90.5% in cycle II. Student activity increased from 72% in cycle I to 92% in cycle II. The results of student reading ability were 70.0% in cycle I and increased to 82.8% in cycle II. Overall, the results of the research conducted over two cycles showed that the speed reading method can improve students' reading skills using smart envelope media in grade IV at SDN Suntri.
