Abstract

This research aims to describe students spatial abilities based on cognitive load theory in geometry learning. This research approach is a qualitative approach and the type of research is descriptive research. The data obtained in this research includes qualitative data obtained from observation sheets, tests, interviews and documentation. To check the validity of the data using the data triangulation method. The subjects in this research were students of class XII Science 3 SMA Negeri 13 Jambi City. The research results showed that students' spatial abilities were still low and there was a cognitive load on students. The cognitive load that arises in learning can be seen from the complexity of the material studied, media, methods and learning strategies used by the teacher. To improve students' spatial abilities, teachers can design learning with appropriate media, methods and strategies so as to minimize the cognitive load on students.

Abstract

This study is based on the low ability of students in mathematical communication in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Kuok, which can be seen from their learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether there was an impact of the implementation of the problem-based cooperative learning model on students' mathematical communication skills in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Kuok. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a sampling technique using simple random sampling. The population studied were students of class X of SMA Negeri 1 Kuok for the 2024/2025 Academic Year which were divided into two classes. The selected sample was class X.1 as the control group and class X.2 as the experimental group. The instruments used in this study included observation sheets and test questions to measure mathematical communication skills. The data analysis method applied was the Independent Sample T-Test with the support of SPSS 25 software. The average Pre-test score of students' mathematical communication skills in the experimental class was 40.00, while the control class reached 47.39. The average Post-test score of students' mathematical communication skills in the experimental class increased to 72.17, while the average control class was 61.96. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' mathematical communication skills in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Kuok. This can be proven through the Independent Sample T-Test which shows a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical communication skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Kuok which can be seen in the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Kuok. This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model on the mathematical communication skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Kuok. This research is a quasi-experimental study, with a sample technique used simple random sampling. The population in this study were class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Kuok in the 2024/2025 Academic Year consisting of 2 classes. The samples in this study were class X.1 as the control class and class X.2 as the experimental class. The instruments used in this study were learning implementation sheets and mathematical communication ability test questions. The data analysis technique used was the Independent sample T-Test and the N-Gain test with the help of SPSS 25 software. The results of the Independent sample T-Test obtained sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, namely 0.000, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted and it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the Think Talk Write type cooperative learning model on mathematical communication skills and is also quite effective to use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze commognitive conflict in collaborative problem solving in high, medium, and low category subjects. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. The place where this research was conducted was at SMA Negeri 1 Kuok. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Kuok, consisting of six students with a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis techniques used in this study were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions/verification. After the data was analyzed, the data was validated using triangulation techniques, namely by comparing the results of students' diagnostic test answers to test questions and interview results with the subjects. From the results of the analysis that had been carried out, it was found that commognitive conflict in collaborative problem solving in high ability subjects was minimal. While in ability subjects, commognitive conflict in collaborative problem solving occurred, but not in all commognitive indicators. However, in low category subjects, commognitive conflict occurred in almost all indicators. Factors that cause commognitive conflict in collaborative problem solving are due to internal factors such as the subject not being used to reading questions, the subject does not understand the contents of the question, the subject does not know the formula or solution strategy in solving the question, is not careful in working on the question, etc.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning media in the form of Javanese songs that is valid and effective for statistics material. The research method used is R&D with the ADDIE model, which includes the phases of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were obtained through validation questionnaires, students’ response quisionnaire, and students’ learning tests. The research subjects were students of class VIII D at SMPN 2 Mojokerto. The validity test results from the validators showed good results, with an average score of 79.85% in the very valid category. Learning media using Javanese songs has also proven effective based on test results and students’ responses. The result of students’ learning outcomes show that the overall average score is 82.2 in the very good category. The results of the student response questionnaire indicate a very positive response category, with a percentage of 78.4%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the learning media using the Javanese song "Lir-Ilir" integrated with statistics can serve as a means to improve the students’ learning outcomes and the classroom atmosphere.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh angka kelahiran kasar dan angka kematian kasar terhadap laju pertumbuhan penduduk di Kecamatan Karanganyar beserta model persamaan regresinya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang mana data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang diambil dari website badan pusat statistik Kabupaten Purbalingga dari tahun 2010 sampai 2023. Data yang diperoleh berupa data angka kelahiran kasar sebagai , angka kematian kasar sebagai , dan laju pertumbuhan penduduk sebagai Y. Dari data yang diperoleh kemudian dilakukan intepretasi menggunakan metode regresi linier berganda melalui SPSS. Kesimpulan dari empat uji asumsi klasik yaitu uji normalitas, uji multikolinieritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, dan uji autokorelasi adalah (1) data berdistribusi normal, tidak terjadi multikolinearitas, tidak terjadi gejala heteroskedastisitas, dan tidak terjadi autokorelasi. (2) dari hasil uji t diperoleh hasil angka kelahiran kasar tidak berpengaruh terhadap laju pertumbuhan penduduk, sedangkan angka kematian kasar berpengaruh terhadap laju pertumbuhan penduduk (3) dari hasil uji f dengan kesimpulan bahwa secara simultan angka kelahiran kasar dan angka kematian kasar berpengaruh terhadap laju pertumbuhan penduduk. (4) Diperoleh persamaan regresi linier bergandanya yaitu Ŷ=0.343+0.016+0.077

Abstract

This reserch aims to analyze the relationship between students’s self-efficacy and critical thingking in using artificial intelligence (AI) in Number Theory course. The method used in quantitative survey with a correlation approach. The research sample consisted of 30 students in the 5th semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University, Tangerang. Data was collected through questionnaires and critical thingking tests. The research result show that the majority of students are in the medium category in terms of self-efficacy, critical thingking skills, and use of AI. The correlation test shows that there is no significant relationship between self-efficacy and critical thingking on the use of AI. It is hoped that the results of this research can be a reference in developing learning strategies that utilize AI effectively by considering other factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji penggunaan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Proses penelitian meliputi identifikasi, seleksi, dan analisis 15 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, yaitu artikel peer-review yang dipublikasikan dalam 10 tahun terakhir dan mengkaji pengaruh model CPS dalam pembelajaran matematika. Analisis menyoroti prosedur penerapan CPS yang beragam, mulai dari empat hingga enam tahapan, dengan fokus pada kolaborasi aktif antara siswa dan guru dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa model CPS terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, sekaligus meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan komprehensif mengenai peran guru sebagai fasilitator dan siswa sebagai peserta aktif yang dikembangkan melalui tahapan CPS. Rekomendasi bagi penelitian selanjutnya dan pengembangan praktik pendidikan juga disajikan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran CPS di kelas.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems is essential for students to develop into quality individuals. This study aims to describe the definition, indicators, and ways to improve problem-solving skills in students. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is the method applied in this article. There are 20 articles that have been reviewed, but only 12 articles in the last 5 years that match the criteria for study materials on students' skills in solving mathematical problems. The results of this article explain that 1) mathematical problem-solving ability is an ability that relies on students' intellectual abilities to be able to solve non-routine problems related to mathematics logically, carefully, critically, and in accordance with the stages that are in accordance with its rules; 2) indicators referred to in problem-solving ability come from Polya, Lynch and Wolcott, and John Dewey; and 3) how to strengthen problem-solving skills in mathematics by using appropriate learning models in this case are problem-based learning, creative-based learning, realistic mathematics education. In the continuation of the research, it is hoped that more theories can be found other than those referred to in this article from other researchers in the context of problem solving.

Abstract

The transformation from the 2013 Curriculum (K–13) to the Revised 2013 Curriculum (K–13R) in Indonesia represents a significant shift in mathematics education. This study aims to analyze the differences between K–13 and K–13R through six key aspects: (1) curriculum structure and competency formulation, (2) pedagogical paradigm including the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), (3) emphasis on literacy and numeracy, (4) teacher readiness and classroom implementation, (5) availability and contextual quality of textbooks and learning media, and (6) student learning outcomes based on PISA and national assessment data. Adopting a qualitative descriptive-comparative approach, this study uses document analysis to explore official curriculum guidelines, textbooks, and supporting literature. The findings reveal that K–13R introduces more structured and concrete competencies, increases focus on contextual and HOTS-based learning, and places greater emphasis on numeracy skills. Nevertheless, classroom implementation remains problematic due to gaps in teacher preparedness, lack of relevant instructional materials, and insufficient understanding of authentic assessments. These results highlight the need for integrated curriculum planning, sustainable teacher training, and contextual resource development to realize the intended transformation.
