Abstract

Based on the results of initial observations conducted by the team in the PKK community in Pantai Mekar Village, there are at least 3 aspects of problems related to women's empowerment, namely: the majority of families in Pantai Mekar Village depend only on their husband's income, so it can be said that women in Pantai Mekar Village are less empowered Economically, Pantai Mekar Village is an area in Bekasi which has a fairly extensive mangrove forest. At present, mangrove products such as dodol mangrove, mangrove syrup and crispy crab have been created. It's just that currently the packaging is still very simple, so it can't compete with similar products on the market. Products that are very innovative at this time do not have a massive marketing system. The current marketing pattern is still very simple, it only includes bazaars which are sometimes held by the local government. On the other hand, a more modern marketing system is needed for the introduction and market penetration process. PKK Desa Pantai Mekar has tried to make culinary delights made from mangroves to be processed into syrup, dodol and jam. Currently, the Ubhara Jaya PKM Team and the Pantai Mekar Village PKK are also carrying out improvements in the production, marketing and licensing processes related to brands. It is hoped that Mangrove-based culinary can be a source of economic improvement for women in Pantai Mekar Village

Abstract

The better the literacy of the people, the better the level of thinking and the achievement of the progress of the community in various aspects of life. However, in reality our current literacy culture is still low.  Currently the partner has a side of the reading garden established in 2021 known as Fontabaca Park. But unfortunately, the establishment of a reading garden was not fully utilized by children and teenagers. This is exacerbated by the lack of reading material available in the reading garden. The lack of interest in reading or borrowing books is partly due to the lack of socialization related to literacy activities to children and adolescents in the Fontania region. The method of implementing activities starts from counseling, training, mentoring and evaluation. The results of each stage of the implementation activity start from the counseling activities carried out by analyzing the problem then continued with mapping the solutions provided for partners. Followed by providing training activities related to reading literacy and the formation of reading garden cadres. Mentoring activities are in the form of procurement of needed reading book materials and involving participants to label and collect reading books. Evaluation activities obtained an average percentage of 98% of the impact of activities carried out by the implementation team as an effort to optimize the existing Fontabaca park.

Abstract

The importance of monitoring and checking children's health at the golden age of children in the age range of 0-5 in terms of the adequacy of nutritious food to produce a healthy, smart and productive generation of children. Through the Posyandu program, activities are carried out regularly every month to monitor height measurement, weight, immunization and vitamin administration to children. The key to the success of Posyandu is the existence of Posyandu cadres. There are approximately eight cadres at posyandu Mawar Grand Residence. As an effort to increase knowledge in posyandu cadres, the implementation team initiated training activities related to a comprehensive understanding of child growth and development which should be an important role in controlling child development at an early age. In addition, as an effort to increase understanding of technology for Posyandu cadres and as a solution to overcome problems related to unstructured data recording, a website-based Posyandu data recording application was made.

Abstract

Desa Mangunjaya is one of the tofu producers in Bekasi. Tofu is a soy-based food that is usually produced by household industries using traditional technology, which currently experiencing environmental problems with inadequate waste disposal. Production activities from the tofu industry will certainly produce solids and wastewater. These wastes can harm the environment. Tofu wastewater contains very high organic compounds and nutrients so that it can be recycled to produce other useful products. Therefore education was held for residents around the tofu factory regarding the utilization of tofu liquid waste into handicrafts by processing the liquid waste into nata de soya first. The method used in this education is to provide information and explain the stages of manufacturing. The purpose of education is to explain to residents so they can process tofu wastewater into goods that have a sale value, beside that residents can know the importance of processing waste so it does not cause environmental pollution. The result of education is that residents understand the use of tofu liquid waste and the program implemented has succeeded in achieving the expected goals.

Abstract

The purpose of the PKM activity is to be able to strengthen the personality of students which will add a plus value to the educational process that has been carried out by the school by introducing anti-corruption education. In accordance with the problems experienced by the partners of SMKS Harapan Baru, Bekasi, namely the problems experienced by partners namely 1) There is no understanding from students related to the insights of religious norms contained in learning. 2) Partners do not yet have an independent learning teaching curriculum related to anti-corruption education. 3) The need to provide information regarding anti-corruption education to students to produce quality human resources. The method of carrying out the activity was by providing counseling in the form of lectures and FGD which was held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in the Harapan Baru Vocational High School hall, Bekasi, with 30 student representatives participating. The results of the activity are increasing participants' knowledge about corruption, increasing the patriotic spirit of students/wis, helping partners in adding anti-corruption education as one of the MBKM curricula and as motivation for partners to be able to carry out activities that can create quality human resources for the world of education.

Abstract

Digital literacy is the ability to search, understand and use information from various digital sources wisely. UNESCO has created a framework for measuring digital literacy levels called the Digital Literacy Global Framework (DLGF). That DLGF has instruments consisting of 1) Information and data literacy, 2) Communication and collaboration, 3) Digital Content Creation, 4) Safety, 5) Problem Solving and transformed by KOMINFO into 4 pillars of literacy to support digital transformation, namely 1) Digital Skills, 2) Digital Ethics, 3) Digital Safety and 4) Digital Culture. The purpose of this community service is to measure and improve the digital literacy skills of the Bekasi City community in dealing with hoax news and to analyze the extent of digital literacy competence through the DLGF framework. Where as many as 234,444 participants took part in the activities carried out by cybercreating in the city of Bekasi with a total of 2,564,941 and only about 9% of the population had just participated. for the method used is descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique is a questionnaire method and library research (Library Research). The results obtained are an increase in Digital Skill 5.47%, Digital Ethics 8.79%, Digital Safety 7.63%, and Digital Culture 8.47%).

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and training for students and the community in Sungai Besar, Banjarbaru, regarding fish farming in buckets, especially in terms of making fish feed by using alternative base materials for the survival of fish in buckets. Participant responses were obtained from a response questionnaire distributed to participants consisting of eight statements in the form of a Likert scale 1 – 4. From the implementation results, it was found that 95.83% of participants stated that the material presented during the training added to participants' insights about making alternative-based fish feeds. In addition, participants stated that the training was quite interactive. However, in terms of the use of tools and materials, administrative processes, and the media in the delivery of socialization materials still need to be improved so that this training activity gets more optimal results.

Abstract

This article discusses educational activities on the use of new media as an effort to deal with disaster events in Demen, Pakembinangun, Pakem, Sleman. This community service activity is carried out by providing training on the use of new media, such as: YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Google Maps. The methods used are reflections, lectures, simulations, discussions, and evaluations regarding digital media. The result is that the Demen people know that most of the people quite understand the types of communication media, both conventional media and new media that present disaster information. Only about 18 out of 20 participants thought that television and Facebook did not have a positive effect on disaster management. Meanwhile WhatsApp, Twitter and YouTube actually provide a lot of information that has a positive impact on them, mainly used to find the latest information updates, coordination and cooperation. This service activity also invites the public to use Google Map as a new form of collaboration in mapping evacuation routes and 3 gathering points when natural disasters such as the eruption of Mount Merapi occur. This effort was made to reduce the risk of social panic and reduce the possibility of traffic accidents when evacuating.

Abstract

Abstract GAPOKTAN Wonosegoro is one of the GAPOKTANs of Cepogo Village which produces cassava, chayote and corn. One of the problems that is often faced by GAPOKTAN is the decrease in the price of crops when the harvest is abundant, even though the shelf life of these commodities is not long lasting. The selling price of agricultural products during the main harvest experienced a very significant decrease. For this reason, it is necessary to process agricultural products into finished products. Diversification of processed corn is one of the solutions for increasing sales value, increasing shelf life and indirectly increasing the profits of the Association of Farmers Groups (GAPOKTAN). The purpose of this community service is to reduce the sale of raw agricultural products to finished products. Processing, packaging and marketing training is expected to be a solution to existing problems. The expected outcome of this service is that GAPOKTAN Wonosegoro is able to process and sell corn-based food products in collaboration with BUMDesa Tumang as a distributor so that they can improve shared welfare. Abstract

The value added of a university is strongly influenced by the high or low number of studies. But unfortunately, the interest of lecturers and students in writing scientific articles is still low. This training activity aims to improve the research and publication skills of lecturers and students. This activity was attended by 134 participants consisting of lecturers and students. Methods of implementing activities include the stages of preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. The training implementation technique is carried out online. The results of this training activity showed that the participants were quite satisfied with this activity. During the activity the participants actively participated in discussion activities. This activity is able to contribute to lecturers and students to improve the quality of research and scientific publications in Higher Education.
