Abstract

One of the most important sciences for humans is mathematics. Mathematics has been taught to students from elementary level or Primary School to high level or College. Its existence is essential to humanity because all human behavior is independent of mathematics. One of the learning materials in mathematics lessons for the elementary level is the operation of addition and subtraction in length. This material is now an important component of mathematics subjects in school. But in fact, it turns out that the level of mastery of this material among students is still very low. In addition, mathematics is still a scourge in itself because many students consider it a difficult subject for many reasons. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the problem of difficulties in learning mathematics that occur in students in material of long stacked addition and subtraction operations. This research method uses qualitative research that takes a case study approach. The subject of this study was a student who was in grade II elementary school with the initials AS. The data collection procedure includes (1) interviews, (2) observations, (3) tests, and (4) documentation. In this study showed that subjects had difficulty learning in long addition and subtraction operations. Such difficulties include difficulty understanding concepts of matter, as well as a lack of memory and interest in learning mathematics that cause the subject confusion when working on mathematical issues related to the matter.

Abstract

This study provides a solution because students have low learning motivation in Akidah Akhlak subjects and lack of interpersonal communication skills. This study aims to see how AI-assisted Canva Media has an influence or not on interpersonal communication skills and learning motivation of grade V students at MIN 1 Sidoarjo. The method used is quantitative method with quasi-experimental type and Noneqeuivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. Questionnaires were given as pretest and posttest for data collection. In this study, grade V-A students were used as the experimental group and grade V-B students were used as the control group. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Descriptive statistical analysis, partial t test, and simultaneous F test were used to analyse the data. The results showed that there was an effect of AI-assisted Canva Media with Interpersonal Communication Skills, a two-tailed Sig value of 0.001, and a two-tailed Sig value of 0.001, respectively showing the effect of AI-assisted Canva Media with learning motivation and both. As a result, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

Learning success is supported by various components, one of which is the use of media. Learning media as a link of interaction in the learning process so that learning is effective for students. One of them uses Pop-Up Book media. The objectives of this study are: 1) to determine the difference in the learning outcomes of social studies students in grade V who use Pop Up Book media and classes that do not use Pop Up Book, 2) to measure the effect of the use of Pop Up Book Media on the learning outcomes of science science students in grade V of SD Negeri 88 Singkawang. A type of quantitative research with experimental methods. Research Design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research population of students of Grades VA and VB. The sampling technique uses Total Sampling. The Prerequisite Test uses the Saphiro Wilk Normality Test and the Homogeneity Test. Hypothesis testing, Independent Sample t-test and Effect Size Test. The results showed that 1) the average score of the posttest of the experimental class was 56.09 higher than the result of the control class which was 40.00. In addition, it can be seen that the output of the Independent sample t-test has an Equal Variances assumed significance value of 0.004 ˂0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the learning outcomes of classes using Pop Up Books and classes not using Pop Up Books. 2) Pop Up Book has a high effect on the learning outcomes of science science students in grade V with the result of the Effect size = 0.94 which is in the High criterion.

Abstract

The needs analysis for reconstructing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka-transformative curriculum of the Primary School Teacher Education program at IAIN Curup was conducted to design a transformative MBKM curriculum aimed at strengthening students’ 21st-century competencies (4C). Specifically, this study aimed to (1) explore the needs analysis for the reconstruction of the PGMI-transformative curriculum; (2) describe the stages of designing and developing the MBKM-transformative curriculum; and (3) assess the feasibility of the MBKM-transformative curriculum reconstruction based on expert validation. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach following Borg and Gall’s framework with modifications from the Dick and Carey model. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and Likert scale questionnaires (1–5). The data analysis utilized both qualitative methods, including data reduction, display, verification, and conclusion drawing, and quantitative methods, employing percentage and Total Critical Response (TCR) techniques. The findings revealed: (1) The needs analysis for reconstructing the MBKM-transformative 4C curriculum, based on interviews, observations, and questionnaires, indicated that the MBKM-transformative curriculum for PGMI is “highly needed”; (2) The developed MBKM-transformative 4C curriculum design includes a conceptual draft outlining various curriculum design aspects; and (3) Expert validation of the MBKM-transformative 4C curriculum, involving experts in curriculum, language, and media, yielded a total score of 88%, indicating that the curriculum is “fit for use.”

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model which is integrated with the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach on the cognitive learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Negeri Plaosan 1. The sample in this study was 28 students.  Carrying out the diagnostic assessment was carried out using descriptive quantitative research and continued with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research techniques used are cognitive diagnostic tests, interviews, questionnaires, pretest-posttest, and with data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis and paired t-test. The findings show that there is an increase in cognitive learning outcomes with the high category 7.14%, the medium category 89.29%, and the low category 3.57%. These results are strengthened by the t-test value with sig 0.000 < 0.005, so it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average value before and after treatment and research show that class IV students have a diversity of characteristics and learning needs and the implementation of TaRL integrated PBL has a significant effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes. Thus, the TaRL integrated PBL model can be used as an innovation in learning with different subjects and at different grade levels.

Abstract

This research focuses on the character education process through the 7th batch of teaching campus programs conducted at SD Negeri 3 Nasol. The focus of this study is the process of implementing character education through the teaching campus program in elementary schools. Character education is carried out through habituation, integration, and imitation processes.   This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of this study show that there is a character education process carried out during the 7th batch of teaching campus assignments.  Of course, the success of character education is inseparable from the role of assistance from the school which always helps in the implementation of the 7th batch of teaching campus work programs. The character education program in the habituation aspect that is carried out is the duha prayer together, reading asmaul husna before learning, and praying before and after learning. Meanwhile, the character education program in the integration aspect is carried out through fun learning activities, mini cinemas, and Ramadan Islamic boarding schools. The character education program activities in the imitation aspect are carried out through 5S habituation. These various activities succeeded in making students know about virtue values. Students are seen to be increasingly obedient to worship, disciplined, responsible, independent, and creative.

Abstract

The use of teacher-centred learning models and the lack of media utilisation in the mathematics learning process contribute to the low numeracy literacy skills of students. This study aims to determine the effect of the Ethnomathematics-based Realistic Mathematics Education learning model on students' numeracy literacy. This type of research is quantitative research with Quasi Experiment method with Non Equaivalent Posttest Only Group Design. The population in this study was elementary schools in Kaliwadas Village and the samples in this study were class V of Kaliwadas 01 Elementary School as the experimental group and class V of Kaliwadas 03 Elementary School as the control group. The data collection technique used test, observation, and documentation. Data analysis technique used regression test and independent t-test. The result showed that Fcount was 65.89 and Ftable was 4.225 so Fcount > Ftable. From the results of the independent t test, it shows that the tcount is 7.2216 and the ttable is 2.01537 so that the tcount> ttable.  It can be said that learning with the ethnomathematics-based RME model affects students' numeracy literacy.

Abstract

The implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has proven to be effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills by encouraging active engagement in solving real-world problems. This study aims to improve students’ critical thinking skills through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Social Studies instruction at MI Islamiyah Kedungwaru Ngawi. The method employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subject comprised 25 first-grade students observed during the learning process. Data collection methods included quantitative data obtained through written tests at the beginning (pre-test) and end (post-test) of the research, and qualitative data derived from interviews and observations. This study was conducted over two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The results indicate that the implementation of PBL significantly improved students’ critical thinking skills, as evidenced by an increase in the average critical thinking indicator scores from 59.6 in the pre-cycle, to 70.7 in Cycle I, and 81.0 in Cycle II. Moreover, students’ responses to PBL were positive, with increased engagement and motivation. Thus, the PBL model is proven effective in improving critical thinking skills in Social Studies learning, while also fostering a positive classroom environment. This study suggests the broader implementation of PBL model in school curricula.

Abstract

This research is based on the background that every school is required to implement the Merdeka curriculum including SDIT Juara, in order to succeed the implementation of the curriculum there is a P5 programme in the form of an Entrepreneurship programme. The purpose of this study is to describe 1) Implementation of P5 in the Entrepreneurship programme, 2) supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing P5 in the Entrepreneurship programme. This research is descriptive qualitative research, the subjects of this research are class I and IV teachers, curriculum vice principal, principal, students. Data collection methods are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis with steps; data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Test data credibility by triangulating sources and techniques. The results of this study are: 1) The implementation of P5 is carried out with a team of facilitators, organising dimensions and time allocations which are carried out once a week on Saturdays, as well as project modules as a reference in project activities. The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is implemented in 6 dimensions. P5 has three stages, namely the implementation, planning and evaluation stages. 2) Supporting factors involved are good facilities and infrastructure, enthusiasm of teachers and school residents as well as support from the surrounding environment, cooperation between teachers and and the budget. While the inhibiting factors are the new curriculum, lack of monitoring and differences in student characteristics.

Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking ability is a very important thing needed in solving various problems, especially in the field of mathematics. The ethnomathematics-assisted congklak game can be a learning medium used in improving mathematical critical thinking skills. Congklak ethnomathematics is a traditional game that can teach mathematical facts, skills, concepts and principles. This study aims to determine whether there is an effectiveness of the integration of congklak game assisted by ethnomathematics on students' mathematical critical thinking skills on the material of number counting operations in grade II SD. The sample of this study was grade II SDN Cipanas. The research method used is quantitative with experimental techniques, quasi experimental design, and non-equivalent control group design which is analysed using the help of SPSS 29 for Windows. Data collection methods are tests in the form of descriptions and documentation. Based on the results of research data analysis and discussion, it is concluded that learning by using ethnomathematics-assisted congklak game media (experimental class) improves much better than learning by using a conventional method approach (control class) on students' mathematical critical thinking skills on number operations. As well as the integration of learning media in the form of ethnomathematics-assisted congklak game is considered to have moderate quality and is quite effective in providing a significant increase in students' mathematical critical thinking skills in number operations. Meanwhile, learning with a conventional method approach is considered to have low quality and is not effective in providing a significant increase in students' mathematical critical thinking skills in number operations.
