Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of technology utilization and learning motivation on students' learning concentration. The study used a quantitative explanatory approach with the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire with 100 PGMI students as respondents. The research instrument consisted of 14 statement items divided into three variables: 4 statement items for the technology utilization variable, 5 statement items for the learning motivation variable, and 5 statement items for the learning concentration variable. Data were analyzed through evaluation of the measurement model and the structural model. The results of the validity and reliability tests showed that all constructs met the required criteria. Bootstrapping results show that learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on learning concentration (β = 0.748; T = 13.235; p < 0.001) with a very strong effect, while technology utilization also has a positive and significant effect on learning concentration (β = 0.127; T = 1.898; p = 0.029), although with a smaller influence strength. The R-square value of 0.689 (adjusted R-square = 0.682) indicates that 68.9% of the variation in learning concentration can be explained by learning motivation and technology utilization. The results of the effect size analysis (f-square) show that learning motivation has a very large effect on learning concentration (f-square = 1.155). In contrast, technology utilization has a small effect on learning concentration (f-square = 0.033). In conclusion, learning motivation is a dominant factor in improving learning concentration, while technology utilization plays a supporting role. Effective technology integration needs to be accompanied by motivation-enhancing strategies so that student learning concentration can be optimized.

Abstract

Social Studies learning regarding the geographical location of ASEAN in grade VI is often constrained by extensive and abstract material, making it difficult for students to visualize interregional connectivity spatially. This research aims to analyze in detail visual media innovation trends from 2021 to 2025 across four focuses: publication patterns, media-learning outcome matrices, pedagogical implications, and research gaps. Utilizing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 52 studies were selected from 300 articles on Google Scholar for in-depth analysis. The findings reveal these four trends and highlight the limitations of static visual media compared to interactive media in explaining complex geographical dynamics. The primary contribution of this research is the synthesis of visual media effectiveness in overcoming cognitive barriers for sixth-grade students. Furthermore, the results of this analysis serve as a practical guide for educators in selecting the most relevant visual tools to enhance the quality of Social Studies learning. By integrating appropriate media, spatial obstacles can be minimized, ensuring that students' understanding of ASEAN regional connectivity becomes more comprehensive and meaningful.

Abstract

This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 25 students from class IIA. Data collection techniques included observing teacher activities and completing questionnaires on student learning motivation. Data analysis was conducted by drawing and calculating percentages. The study showed that using e-modules through educational games can increase student learning motivation. This was evident in the improvement in the learning motivation questionnaire results. In the pre-cycle, learning motivation reached 32%, with 8 students completing the questionnaire. In the first cycle, this figure rose to 65.65%, with a sufficient qualification. Furthermore, in the second cycle, learning motivation jumped significantly to 82.10%, with a very good qualification. Teacher activity in the teaching and learning process increased from 75% in the first cycle to 89.58% in the second cycle.  The implementation of e-modules using educational games was carried out in several stages: a technical introduction to the e-module, exploring the material through e-modules supplemented with images and videos, playing the educational game Wordwall (guessing symbols and connecting images), group discussions, presentations of results, and completing worksheets (LKPD). This study shows that using e-modules with educational games successfully increased second-grade students' enthusiasm for learning the Pancasila Symbol. Teachers are encouraged to use this digital learning medium for other materials and subjects as a way to enrich learning in a more innovative, interactive, and enjoyable way.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low speaking ability of elementary school students, which is indicated by limited vocabulary, low self-confidence, and a lack of student participation in oral communication in Indonesian language learning. Previous research has focused more on Peer Teaching in the context of collaborative learning and foreign language learning, so its application in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools still requires further study. This study aims to analyze the application of the Peer Teaching method in improving the speaking ability of fourth-grade students at MI Al-Fajar Pringsewu. The study used the Classroom Action Research design model of Kemmis and McTaggart, which was carried out in two cycles involving 20 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and assessment of speaking skills based on indicators of pronunciation, intonation, vocabulary, mastery of material, fluency, and expression. Data were analyzed using quantitative and reflective descriptive analysis. The results showed an increase in students' speaking ability from an average pre-cycle score of 59 to 70 in cycle I and 82 in cycle II. The percentage of learning completion increased from 35% to 90%. The research findings indicate that Peer Teaching creates more participatory, supportive, and collaborative learning interactions, helping students improve their self-confidence and oral communication skills. This research provides a practical contribution to the development of social interaction-based Indonesian language learning strategies in elementary schools.

Abstract

Educational transformation in the digital era has intensified the need for collaboration between schools and parents in supporting children’s learning processes. Previous studies have predominantly examined parenting programs in relation to parental capacity building, character education, and the prevention of negative student behavior, while limited attention has been directed toward how school–family partnerships through parenting programs shape students’ learning behavior and academic readiness at the elementary madrasah level. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a parenting program and its implications for students’ learning behavior at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Ulama Metro. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving the headmaster, homeroom teacher, parents, and third-grade students as research participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using interactive techniques consisting of data reduction, data display, coding, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that parenting programs strengthen parental involvement through intensive communication and learning collaboration between schools and families. Consistent parental engagement contributes to the formation of disciplined learning habits, increased motivation, stronger responsibility, and better student readiness in classroom learning. School–family communication also functions as a mechanism that aligns learning practices at home and school, thereby supporting more adaptive student learning behavior. This study contributes theoretically to the discourse on school-family partnership by demonstrating that parenting programs function not only as communication forums but also as socio-educational interventions that shape students’ learning behavior through collaborative parenting practices.

Abstract

Deep learning encourages students to connect knowledge to real-life contexts and develop critical and reflective thinking skills. This research aims to raise awareness for all parties, especially academics, of the importance of science learning in understanding science concepts. This research was conducted through a literature review. This literature review involved reviewing relevant concepts and theories based on available literature, specifically articles published in scientific journals containing theories related to understanding science concepts in elementary school through a deep learning approach. Data collection was conducted through journal searches and scientific sources in electronic media, such as digital libraries and the internet. The study's results indicate that the deep learning approach enhances the quality of learning. Its application includes: First, learning about living things and the environment in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) not only builds understanding but also shapes students' attitudes towards the environment. Second, there is great potential for this approach to help MI students understand the concept of energy and its changes in depth. Third, the nature and changes in the state of matter play a crucial role in building students' basic understanding of the natural phenomena around them. Fourth, learning about the earth and the universe becomes more meaningful and not just a matter of memorising the material.
