Abstract

This study aims to review, investigate, and compare various research published in Scopus-indexed journals related to the theme of literacy for disabilities so that it will contribute to the development of literacy studies for disability groups. This study used the systematic literature review method with the PRISMA 2020 model. The search was conducted in the Scopus database, inclusion-exclusion, to obtain 41 articles. Data were collected from the Scopus database tend to increase in 2019-2023. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The study results showed that this theme (literacy and disability) has broad dimensions and involves all parties. Various aspects of literacy can be promoted for people with disabilities, although there are adjustments. Ahlgrim-Delzell is the dominant researcher, the reference, and the pivot. The disability aspect was related to education, children, and young adults. Interestingly, the theme "literacy and disabilities" is the focus of researchers from all continents and is generally written in groups. Although this theme deserves global attention, it is not yet interesting for international cooperation. We discuss all aspects of the trend. Researcher interest continues to increase regarding "literacy and disabilities," which can be seen based on distribution year, research types/methods, instruments, study aspects, author, keywords, author's nationality, and collaboration.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between social comparison and hypercompetitiveness, and the moderating effects of academic self-efficacy. In addition, we also compare the different effects among urban group students and rural group students. This study used a non-experimental design witha quantitative approach. The final participants included 146 high school students aged between 15-18 years. There are three instruments used in this study: the Hypercompetitiveness in Academic Scale (HIA) for measuring hypercompatitiveness, the Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM) for measuring social comparison, and the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (TASES) for measuring self-efficacy specific in academic setting. All of the data questionnaires were analyzed by descriptive, correlation, and moderation analysis. The result shows that academic self-efficacy plays a significant role in the association between social comparison and hypercompetitiveness. In addition, the relationship between these three variables is different for urban and rural students. Taken together, these findings can provide theoretical and practical guidance for teachers, counselors, and school psychologists to understand hypercompetitiveness characteristics among students, increase their awareness about hypercompetitiveness characteristics, and provide support through counseling or training that can encourage collaborative work among students and improve their academic self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types, forms, functions, and assessment techniques of Indonesian teachers based on the Merdeka Curriculum, as well as the obstacles encountered in its implementation. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research was carried out across six junior high schools within the Banyuwangi Regency. The participants of this study were Indonesian junior high school teachers. Information was gathered from primary and secondary sources. Primary data stemmed from observations and interviews, whereas secondary data encompassed assessment-related documents. Data analysis was performed using Milles and Huberman flow analysis techniques in three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of the research reveal the existence of two distinct assessment approaches in Indonesian language education within Banyuwangi Regency's junior high schools: formative assessment and summative assessment. Formative assessments included those at the beginning and during learning. Most teachers use written test techniques to diagnose students' cognition using the rubric as an instrument. Meanwhile, the teacher used questionnaires, interviews, and observations to diagnose students' noncognition. Formative assessment during learning is conducted using a variety of techniques and instruments adapted to the achievement elements of learning in Indonesian language. Summative assessments were carried out by the majority of teachers at the end of each chapter, midterm, and end of the semester using a written test technique. This research has implications for school stakeholders, teachers, and future researchers.

Abstract

This study aims to portray the implementation of inclusive education policies organized by two different educational institutions for students with disabilities, namely Special School Angkasa Lambeyan and Primary School Bintang Poncol in Magetan Jawa Timur. A qualitative multiple case study was selected as the research method by involving school principals, support teachers, and student guardians as participants. Data were collected through unstructured interviews, observation, and analysis of policy documents implemented by the two schools. All data collected from the two cases were analyzed using an explanation technique and the credibility of the data was guaranteed through method triangulation techniques. The results of this study showed that the implementation of inclusive education policies in each school positively impacts the ability of students with disabilities  to obtain an equal education. The readiness of those schools to implement inclusive education programs is also reflected in this study. Communication, interaction, and collaboration between local governments and educational institutions need to be improved to guarantee and realize accessibility for inclusive education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher needs in Indonesia regarding the development of multicultural learning models based on local wisdom and integrated gamification. This research uses a mixed method that begins with a quantitative approach and continues qualitatively. The quantitative process starts with a literature review to synthesize research indicators and research instruments and distribute instruments to 301 teachers as respondents (urban teachers = 42%, rural teachers = 58%). Quantitative data analysis used the Rasch Model. This qualitative approach uses in-depth interviews with teachers and experts to explain quantitative research findings. The results of this study show a high need for teachers at all levels of education to develop a multicultural learning model based on local wisdom integrated gamification. The need is even greater for public schools and female teachers. This research implies that there must be further efforts to develop multicultural learning models so that they can be implemented in various schools.

Abstract

This study aims to compile and validate Pancasila character instruments using three methods: Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and the RASCH model. This research is a survey involving 681 students from universities throughout Indonesia. The study consisted of three stages, namely (1) item preparation, (2) construct validation through EFA and CFA, and (3) item validation using the RASCH model. The preparation of Pancasila character instrument items was carried out through a literature review and 44 statement items covering six aspects of Pancasila character. After EFA was conducted, 44 items were eliminated into 33 items which were divided into five constructs or factors, namely factor 1 = Ethics, Nationalism, Independent and Critical, factor 2 = Self Efficacy, factor 3 = Empathy, factor 4 = Creativity, and Global Knowledge, and factor 5 = Discipline. This result is reinforced by the CFA, which shows that the factors formed are in accordance with the model and have items that can describe the character of Pancasila (loading factor ≥0.3). Further analysis using RASCH shows that the instrument developed has good validity and reliability and can be used to measure students' Pancasila character.
