Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan beberapa kelompok masyarakat yang tidak produktif menjadi masyarakat yang mandiri secara ekonomi.Hasil kegiatan yang telah dicapai meliputi: (1) telah dilaksanakan proses seleksi dan rekruitmen peserta program KKN-PPM; (2) kegiatan pembekalan telah dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga tahap dengan tema pembekalan umum kegiatan KKN yang diberikan oleh pimpinan institut dan LPPM, dilanjutkan dengan pembekalan khusus tentang topik KKN-PPM yaitu biografi daerah sasaran KKN-PPM, pembuatan kumbung jamur, dan cara membuat budidaya jamur tiram; selanjutnya pelatihan budidaya jamur tiram;  (3) terbitnya buku petunjuk budidaya jamur yang bisa digunakan masyarakat sebagai panduan dalam budidaya jamur; (4) terlaksananya pelatihan budidaya jamur tiram; (5) terbentuknya duakumbung budidaya jamur tiram; (6) pemasaran dilaksanakan melalui penjualan langsung dan melalui media sosial.Empowerment of Farmers in Pringgabaya Village, Lombok Timur through Cultivating Oyster Mushrooms as Efforts Towards Independent VillagesAbstractThis service activity aims to empower several unproductive groups of people to become economically independent communities. The results of activities that have been achieved include: (1) a selection and recruitment process for participants in the KKN-PPM program has been carried out; (2) debriefing activities have been carried out in three stages with the theme of general debriefing for KKN activities provided by the institute and LPPM leaders, followed by special briefing on the KKN-PPM topic, namely biography of KKN-PPM target areas, making kumbung mushrooms, and how to make mushroom cultivation. oyster; then training in oyster mushroom cultivation; (3) publication of a manual for mushroom cultivation that can be used by the community as a guide in mushroom cultivation; (4) implementation of oyster mushroom cultivation training; (5) formation of two oyster mushroom cultivation basins; (6) marketing is carried out through direct sales and through social media.

Abstract

Program pelatihan bahasa asing diberikan secara langsung di lokasi pelaku wisata menjalankan profesinya masing-masing. Peserta dilatih dengan materi bahasa asing yang aplikatif atau kalimat-kalimat yang sering digunakan dalam melayani wisatawan pengguna jasa kusir cidomo, penyewa sepeda, pemandu wisata, supir speedboat dan pedagang asongan. Pelatihan dan pendampingan dilaksanakan setiap hari selama 1 bulan. Peserta difasilitasi pula dengan buku panduan praktis bahasa inggris. Kegiatan KKN-PPM telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni-Agustus 2018 dengan hasil capaian yaitu: (1) buku panduan praktis bahasa inggris bagi pelaku wisata Gili Meno sudah diterbitkan dengan ISBN 978-602-50418-9-1, (2) pelaksanaan KKN-PPM telah dipublikasi di media cetak Lombok Post edisi 17 Agustus 2018, (3) mahasiswa peserta KKN-PPM telah diberikan pembekalan untuk mempersiapkan kompetensi dan penguasaan teknis kegiatan, (4) Kepala Dusun Gili Meno telah memberikan izin pelaskanaan KKN-PPM, (5) pelatihan dan pendampingan  bahasa inggris dilakukan setiap hari dengan teknis mahasiswa mengunjungi lokasi pelaku wisata menjalankan profesinya dan mendampingi pelaku wisata dalam melayani wisatawan asing, (6) kemampuan bahasa inggris masyarakat pelaku wisata mengalami peningkatan seperti penambahan penguasaan kosa kata (vocabulary), conversation dan tata kalimat yang lebih terstruktur sesuai tenses.Building a Community of Active English Communication in the Gili Meno Tourism Area, LombokAbstractForeign language training programs are provided directly at the location of tourism actors carrying out their respective professions. Training and mentoring are carried out every day for 1 month. Participants were also facilitated with practical English manuals. KKN-PPM activities have been carried out in June-August 2018 with the following results: (1) a practical English guidebook for Gili Meno tourism actors has been published with ISBN 978-602-50418-9-1, (2) implementation of KKN- PPM has been published in the Lombok Post print media August 17 2018 edition, (3) KKN-PPM participant students have been provided with training to prepare competency and technical mastery of activities, (4) Head of Gili Meno Hamlet has granted KKN-PPM implementation permit, (5) English language training and mentoring are carried out every day with technical students visiting the locations of tourism actors carrying out their profession and assisting tourism actors in serving foreign tourists, (6) the English language skills of the tourism actors have increased such as additional vocabulary mastery, conversation and sentence structure which is more structured according to tenses.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah edukasi pemanfaatan limbah cair kelapa dan limbah tahu berbentuk nata dan mengembangkan keterampilan Siswi di MA Annajah Yayasan Pendidikan Al-Halimy. Sasaran kegiatan adalah siswa putri kelas XI MA Annajah Yayasan Pendidikan Al-Halimy sejumlah 17 orang (tinggal di asrama sekolah). Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 1 (satu) bulan meliputi survei lokasi, diskusi penentuan jadwal kegiatan dengan pihak sekolah (mitra), sosialisasi kegiatan kepada calon target binaan, pengenalan produk biologi terapan berbasis mikroorganisme, sosialisasi promosi IKIP Mataram, pelatihan sterilisasi alat dan bahan, pelatihan pembuatan nata (nata de coco dan nata de soya), monitoring hasil produk olahan, dan evaluasi kegiatan (respon kegiatan dan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan). Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan >90% peserta mengikuti kegiatan secara aktif, 94,12% menggap bahwa kegiatan sangat bermanfaat dan 5,88% cukup bermanfaat, 76,47% sangat tertarik untuk merintis usaha dan 23,53% cukup tertatik. Uji organoleptik/kesukaan produk yang dihasilkan menunjukkan tingkat kesukaan responden adalah pada produk nata de coco dibandingkan nata de soya. Hal ini disebabkan bahwa indikator kualitas nata (tekstur, warna, dan rasa) sebanyak 98% lebih menyukai nata de coco.Training on Making Nata De Coco and Nata De Soya for Class XI MA AnnajahAbstractThe aim of this community service is to educate the use of coconut liquid waste and tofu waste in the form of nata and to develop the skills of students at MA Annajah, the Al-Halimy Education Foundation. The target of the activity is 17 female students of class XI MA Annajah Al-Halimy Education Foundation (living in school dormitories). Activities carried out for 1 (one) month include a location survey, discussion on determining the schedule of activities with the school (partner), socialization of activities to target target candidates, introduction to microorganism-based applied biology products, promotion of IKIP Mataram, training on sterilization of tools and materials, training in manufacturing nata (nata de coco and nata de soya), monitoring of processed products, and evaluation of activities (response to activities and quality of products produced). The results of the evaluation of the activities showed that> 90% of the participants participated in the activities actively, 94.12% thought that the activities were very useful and 5.88% were quite useful, 76.47% were very interested in starting a business and 23.53% were quite interested. The organoleptic test / product preference showed that the respondent's preferred level was nata de coco compared to nata de soya. This is because 98% of the indicators of nata quality (texture, color and taste) prefer nata de coco.

Abstract

Melimpahnya hasil pertanian berupa ubi kayu didesa Raba belum dapat meningkatakan pendapatan para petani, selama ini hasil panen ubi kayu hanya dijadikan bahan makanan tambahan, dan beberapa olahan tradisional untuk di jual. Kondisi ini disebabkan masih kurang pamahaman dan keterampilan dari warga dalam pengolahan ubi kayu yang memiliki nilai jual yang lebih tinggi. Kondisi ini menjadi sadar dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) dengan tujuan  memberdayakan masyarakat desa Raba dalam pengolahan ubi kayu sebagai bahan dasar pebuatan tepung singkong. Kegitan ini bermitra dengan kelompok usaha ruamahan olahan singkong di Desa Raba yang berjumlah dua kelompok. Metode dalam kegitan PkM ini adalah metode knowledge transfer dan Model Community development yaitu pendekatan yang melibatkan mitra secara langsung sebagai obyek dan subyek dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Adapun tahapan-tahapan dalam kegitan PkM ini adalah persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegitan pemberdayaan antara lain 1) meningkatkan pemahaman mitra dalam pengolahan ubi kayu, 2) terbentuknya keterampilan mitra dalam pengolahan ubi kayu menjadi tepung singkong, 3) produk berupa tepung singkong dalam bentuk kemasan, dan 4) terbentuknya unit usaha baru dalam pengelolaan dan pengolahan singkong berbasis ruamh tangga. Kegitan masih perlu dilakukan pendampingan secara kontinu agar mitra benar-benar dapat mandiri dalam pengelolaan dan pengolahan ubi kayu menjadi priduk tepung yang higienis memiliki sertifikat halal. Community Empowerment Through Training in Processing Cassava into Cassava Flour  The abundance of agricultural products in the form of cassava in Raba village has not been able to increase the income of farmers, so far the cassava harvest has only been used as additional food ingredients, and some traditional preparations are for sale. This condition is due to the lack of understanding and skills of the residents in processing cassava which has a higher selling value. This condition became aware that Community Service (PkM) activities were carried out with the aim of empowering the Raba village community in processing cassava as a basic ingredient for making cassava flour. This activity is in partnership with two groups of cassava processed domestic businesses in Raba Village. The methods in this PkM activity are the knowledge transfer method and the Community development model, namely an approach that involves partners directly as objects and subjects in the implementation of community service activities. The stages in this PkM activity are preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the empowerment activities include 1) increasing the understanding of partners in processing cassava, 2) forming partner skills in processing cassava into cassava flour, 3) products in the form of cassava flour in the form of packaging, and 4) the formation of a new business unit in the management and processing of cassava. household-based. Activities still need continuous assistance so that partners can truly be independent in the management and processing of cassava into hygienic flour products that have a halal certificate.

Abstract

Persiapan menghadapi persaingan dunia kerja penting bagi mahasiswa, salah satunya melalui magang kerja industri berbasis CoE MBKM. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah implementasi magang industri di orchid nursery sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas mahasiswa menghadapi persaingan dunia kerja. Metode yang digunakan adalah praktik langsung, yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian bersama dengan mitra, yaitu mahasiswa magang dan pemilik orchid nursery.  Terdapat 4 orang mahasiswa yang menjadi mitra sekaligus pelaksana lapangan. Sementara mitra pembudidaya anggrek yang merupakan representasi dari DUDI adalah owner DD’ Orchid Nursery dan seorang staf yang bertugas. Kegiatan ini dipusatkan di DD’ Orchid Nursery, selama 10 bulan. Kegiatan berjalan 100% yang diwujudkan dengan kegiatan berupa inisiasi Kerjasama dengan DUDI, penyepakatan MoU, dan penyelesaian modul, rekrutmen mahasiswa yang akan magang, pelaksanaan magang, monitoring evaluasi, pelaporan, dan publikasi program. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian telah berjalan sesuai dengan target. Kegiatan ini perlu diperpanjang, berupa menjadikan DD’ Orchid Nurcery salah satu mitra untuk lokasi sekolah unggulan anggrek Prodi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UMM. Industrial Internship at Orchid Nursery as an Effort to Improve Student Quality in the Face of Workplace Competition Preparation for the competitive world of work is important for students, one of which is through MBKM-based industrial internships. The purpose of this service is the implementation of industrial internships at the orchid nursery as an effort to improve the quality of students facing the competition in the world of work. The method used is direct practice, which is carried out by the service team together with partners, namely interns and orchid nursery owners. There are 4 students who are partners as well as field implementers. Meanwhile, the orchid cultivator partners who represent DUDI are the owner of DD' Orchid Nursery and a staff member on duty. This activity is centered at DD' Orchid Nursery, for 10 months. Activities run 100% which are manifested by activities in the form of initiation of Cooperation with DUDI, agreement of MoU, and completion of modules, recruitment of students who will do internships, implementation of internships, monitoring evaluations, reporting, and publication of programs. It can be concluded that the service activities have been running according to the target. This activity needs to be extended, in the form of making DD' Orchid Nurcery one of the partners for the location of the flagship orchid school for the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP UMM.

Abstract

Pada era teknologi informasi saat ini proses pembelajaran sudah mulai menerapkan inovasi yang menarik. Proses pembelajaran tidak hanya melalui komunikasi langsung atau tatap muka dengan metode ceramah yang menimbulkan rasa kejenuhan pada siswa. Pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi pada tahun 2020 merubah seluruh tatanan kehidupan manusia mulai dari ekonomi, sosial, agama hingga sistem pendidikan. Selama pandemi Covid-19, sebagian dari guru di sekolah belum siap melaksanakan proses pembelajaran melalui media-media interaktif seperti video pembelajaran untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran dari rumah. Melalui media pembelajaran yang menarik dan efektif mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan kemauan belajar siswa. Target serta tujuan yang diusung melalui pelatihan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru SMP 30 Kota Palembang agar bisa menguasai aplikasi capcut dan az screen dalam membuat video ajar melalui smartphone atau perangkat komputer untuk menunjang sistem pembelajaran dari rumah baik berupa daring atau luring yang dicanangkan oleh Kemendikbud selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut diperlukan suatu metode yang tepat, adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah dan diskusi, bimbingan dan demonstrasi, serta evaluasi. Training on Making Teaching Videos through Capcut and Az Screen Applications as Learning Media at SMP 30 Palembang In the current era of information technology, the learning process has begun to implement interesting innovations. The learning process is not only through direct or face-to-face communication with the lecture method which creates a sense of saturation in students. The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in 2020 changed the entire order of human life, from the economy, social, religion to the education system. During the Covid-19 pandemic, some of the teachers in schools were not ready to carry out the learning process through interactive media such as learning videos to support the learning process from home. Through interesting and effective learning media, it can increase students' motivation and willingness to learn. The targets and objectives carried out through this training are to provide knowledge and skills to SMP 30 Palembang City teachers so that they can master the cap cut and az screen applications in making teaching videos via smartphones or computer devices to support the learning system from home either online or offline launched by Ministry of Education and Culture during the Covid-19 pandemic. The solution to these problems requires an appropriate method, while the methods used are lecture and discussion methods, guidance and demonstrations, and evaluation

Abstract

Sektor industri kerajinan merupakan salah satu sektor yang dianggap mampu dan memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat desa. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan harus dimiliki oleh masyarakat desa agar mampu mengolah sumber daya alam yang ada menjadi produk kerajinan. Pelatihan industri kerajinan di desa Gajah Mati merupakan suatu upaya yang dilakukan untuk memberikan stimulus kepada masyarakat desa dalam mengolah potensi alam mereka menjadi produk kerajinan. Salah satu potensi alam yang terdapat di desa ini adalah batok kelapa, sejauh ini belum ada suatu upaya yang dilakukan masyarakat dalam mengolah batok kelapa menjadi produk kerajinan. Permasalahannya adalah minimnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dimiliki warga desa. Di samping itu,  potensi bahan batok kelapa seharusnya bisa dimanfaatkan sebaik mungkin untuk mendukung program utama pemerintah desa Gajah Mati dalam membangun dan mengembangkan destinasi wisata alam Embung Senja. Kegiatan pelatihan ini bersifat stimulus yang bertujuan untuk memberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan dasar bagi peserta pelatihan dengan menggunakan metode survei dan wawancara, ceramah atau diskusi, praktik dan demonstrasi, serta evaluasi. Melalui pelatihan ini masyarakat desa Gajah Mati sudah memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah batok kelapa menjadi produk kerajinan. Di samping itu, masyarakat desa juga sudah bisa menggunakan peralatan mesin baik dari segi cara kerja, fungsi dan kegunaannya. Berdasarkan bentuk dan fungsi dari produk kerajinan yang dihasilkan sudah cukup layak untuk dipasarkan dan dijadikan souvenir atau cinderamata objek wisata alam Embung Senja. Coconut Shell Craft Industry Training in Gajah Mati Village, Babat Sumpat District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra  The handicraft industry sector is one sector that is considered capable and has the potential to improve the economy of rural communities. Knowledge and skills must be possessed by rural communities in order to be able to process existing natural resources into handicraft products. The handicraft industry training in Gajah Mati village is an effort made to provide a stimulus to the village community in processing their natural potential into handicraft products. One of the natural potentials found in this village is coconut shells, so far there has been no effort made by the community in processing coconut shells into handicraft products. The problem is the lack of knowledge and skills of the villagers. In addition, the potential of coconut shell materials must be utilized as well as possible to support the main program of the Gajah Mati village government in building and developing the natural tourist destination of Embung Senja. This training activity is a stimulus that aims to provide basic knowledge and skills for training participants using survey and interview methods, lectures or discussions, practice and demonstrations, and evaluation. Through this, the people of Gajah Mati village already have training and skills in processing coconut shells into handicraft products. In addition, the village community is also able to use machine tools both in terms of how they work, their functions and uses. Based on the form and function of the craft products produced, they are worthy enough to be marketed and used as souvenirs or natural attractions for Embung Senja souvenirs.

Abstract

Sekolah Menegah Atas (SMA) Erenos memiliki visi yaitu membangun manusia seutuhnya dengan fokus pada Kristus sehingga menghasilkan lulusan yang beriman, berilmu dan memiliki karakter Kristiani serta mendatangkan damai sejahtera bagi diri sendiri dan sesama manusia. Salah satu misi dari SMA Erenos yaitu menumbuh kembangkan budaya ingin tahu, gemar belajar, menganalisis, kerja keras, melakukan percobaan dan kreatif. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah SMA Erenos ingin Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di SMA Erenos bertujuan agar para siswa mampu menjelaskan konsep dasar bioteknologi dengan benar dikaitkan dengan peran manusia sebagai mahkota ciptaan Allah serta memahami contoh penerapan bioteknologi dalam bidang pangan/pertanian dan lingkungan dengan tepat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah secara online dengan menggunakan aplikasi zoom. Hasil kegiatan PkM menunjukkan bahwa 86.34% siswa dapat memahami dengan mudah konsep dasar Bioteknologi, 81.95% mengatakan bahwa contoh atau aplikasi dari penerapan Bioteknologi juga disampaikan dengan baik oleh narasumber. Dari segi keterkaitan ilmu, 71.95% mengatakan bahwa penyampaian keterkaitan Bioteknologi, Genetika, dan Mikrobiologi tersampaikan dengan jelas. Kemudian 84,88% siswa mengatakan bahwa mereka mendapatkan pengetahuan baru terkait teknologi dari materi yang dipaparkan, dan 80% siswa semakin memahami mengenai peran manusia sebagai mahkota ciptaan dalam menjalankan mandat budaya, secara khusus pada bidang Bioteknologi. Training About Biotechnology and Its Applications in the Erenos Middle High School Erenos High School (SMA) has a vision that is to build a complete human being with a focus on Christ so as to produce graduates who are faithful, knowledgeable, and have Christian character and bring peace to themselves and fellow human beings. One of the missions of SMA Erenos is to cultivate a culture of curiosity, love of learning, analysis, hard work, experimentation, and creativity. The problem that arises is that Erenos High School wants to foster a culture of curiosity and love for learning for high school students. Erenos High School wants to realize learning that can open up students’ insight in depth to overcome the lack of connection between the topics discussed in class and their connection with the latest scientific developments, especially regarding biotechnology. Community Service at Erenos High School aims to enable students to be able to properly explain the basic concepts of biotechnology related to the role of humans as the crown of God’s creation and to understand examples of the application of biotechnology in the field of food/agriculture and the environment correctly. This activity is carried out by means of lectures online using the zoom app followed by a question and answer session. The activity was held on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 08:00-09.00 WIB with a total of 47 participants. The results of the PkM activity showed that 86.34% of students could easily understand the basic concepts of Biotechnology, and 81.95% said that examples or applications of the application of Biotechnology were also delivered well by the speakers. In terms of the relevance of science, 71.95% said that the delivery of the linkage of Biotechnology, Genetics, and Microbiology was conveyed clearly. Then 84.88% of students said that they got new knowledge related to technology from the material presented, and 80% of students increasingly understood the role of humans as the crown of creation in carrying out cultural mandates, specifically in the field of Biotechnology.

Abstract

Permasalahan pangan menjadi di masa depan sulit dihindari, banyaknya lahan pertanian menjadi lahan pemukiman, kawasan industri berpotensi menurunnya produksi lahan pertanian. Solusi untuk mengatasi krisis pangan adalah mengoptimalkan lahan pekarangan setiap rumah untuk lebih produktif. Permasalahannya adalah banyak lahan pekarangan yang belum dioptimalkan pemanfaatannya. Kondisi ini dapat yang menjadi alasan mengapa kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan. Adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat lebih memahami bagaimana mengoptimalkan lahan pekarangan bernilai ekonomi sehingga dapat menjadi rintisan kawasan rumah pangan lestari. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 1 kelompok wanita tani yaitu KWT Tunas makmur. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan bulan Maret-Mei  2022. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu sosialisasi materi, pendampingan dan monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan didapatkan bahwa terdapat 33 jenis tanaman yang dibudidayakan. Masyarakat memiliki pemahaman yang baik terkait budidaya tanaman dalam pot, vertikultur, dan KRPL. Empowerment of Women Farmers Groups in Using Yard Land as a Pilot Area for Sustainable Food Houses Food problems are difficult to avoid in the future, many agricultural lands become settlements, and industrial areas may decrease agricultural land production. The solution to overcome the food crisis is to optimize the yard of each house to be more productive. The problem is that many yards have not been optimized for use. This condition can be the reason why this service activity is carried out. Some activities are expected by the community to better understand how to optimize their yards that have economic value so that they can become pioneers of sustainable food house areas. This activity involved 1 group of women farmers, namely KWT Tunas prosperous. Service activities are carried out in March-May 2022. Activities carried out in community service are material socialization, mentoring and monitoring, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that there were 33 types of plants cultivated. Abstract

The Science and Technology Transmission for Society (STTS) activity is a community service activity that aims to improve the ability of Madrasah Aliyah teachers in developing learning tools (RPP) and teaching materials (textbooks and worksheets) to train students' critical thinking skills. Partners in this activity, namely the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Sengkol and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) NW Remajun teacher groups. Both schools are located in Central Lombok district, NTB. Members of the partner groups in both schools consisted of teachers of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Physics and Chemistry). This STTS activity has been carried out with a series of In Service Training (IST), On Service Training (OST) activities, as well as the implementation and measurement of students' critical thinking skills. IST activities provide education and training to the two partners on learning analysis, the concept of learning tools which include lesson plans and teaching materials (textbooks and worksheets), the concept of developing learning tools that can train students' critical thinking skills, and critical thinking ability test instruments. OST activities are carried out by providing assistance to the two partner groups in preparing lesson plans and teaching materials (textbooks and worksheets) that can train students' critical thinking skills, as well as preparing critical thinking ability test instruments. Implementation is carried out to ensure that the learning tools developed can train students' critical thinking skills. Furthermore, the measurement of students' critical thinking skills was carried out using the critical thinking skills test instrument that was developed previously. The results of STTS activities in general are that teachers in partner schools have the competence to develop learning tools to train students' critical thinking skills.
