Abstract

Verapamil HCl is Calcium Channel blocker (CCB) used to treat hypertension and angina pectoris. Verapamil HCl has a bioavailability of 10-20% and half-life of 4 hours so it can be made gastroretentive preparations for defending drug therapy concentration. This study was purposed to know the effect of pectin and HPMC K15M on floatation behaviour, swelling and drug released of verapamil HCl floating tablet. This study used four varying matrix concentrations of pectin and HPMC K15M with direct compression method then evaluated physical properties of powders and tablets. Effects and interactions between pectin and HPMC K15M were given by factorial design method using software Design Expert®. Matrix of pectin and HPMC K15M gave effects to floatation behaviour, swelling and drud released of verapamil HCl floating tablet. HPMC K15M was dominant influenced about decreased floating lag time and increased floating time. Increased of HPMC K15M and pectin could be decreased initial burst and drug released rate but increased swelling. Pectin and HPMC K15M (1,5:1) combination had the fastest of floating lag time, the longest time of floating time, the greatest of swelling and followed zero order.

Abstract

Sirosis hati merupakan keadaan patologis yang menggambarkan stadium akhir fibrosis hepatik yang berlangsung progresif ditandai dengan distorsi dari arsitektur hepar dan pembentukan nodulus regeneratif. Berdasarkan profil kesehatan DIY tahun 2008, sirosis hati masuk dalam sepuluh besar penyebab kematian tertinggi di Provinsi DIY dengan prevalensi 1,87% pada urutan kesembilan. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran peresepan pasien sirosis hati di Instalasi Rawat Jalan Rumah Sakit Panti Waluyo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif  yang dilakukan secara retrospektif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sampel jenuh, yaitu semua anggota dari populasi data rekam medik pasien yang didiagnosis sirosis hati di Instalasi Rawat Jalan Rumah Sakit Panti Waluyo, dijadikan sebagai sampel dengan tetap memperhatikan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yaitu pasien sirosis hati dari poliklinik internis dengan atau tanpa komplikasi, memiliki data jelas, lengkap dan pada data rekam mediknya minimal memuat data nama, umur, jenis kelamin, diagnosa, terapi dan tanpa komplikasi HIV dan onkologi, yaitu sebanyak 61 lembar rekam medik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian selama tahun  2019 didapatkan pasien laki-laki sebanyak 55,74% dan perempuan 44,26%. Penyakit penyerta komplikasi pada pasien sirosis hati adalah asites sebanyak 39,34%, hipertensi porta sebanyak 19,67%, varises esofagus 11,48%, ensefalopati hati 3,28%. Pasien mendapat terapi obat tunggal yaitu propranolol dan spironolactone masing-masing sebanyak 1,64%, dan mendapat terapi kombinasi kombinasi 2 obat paling banyak yaitu propranolol+curcuma sebanyak 19,67%, dan mendapat kombinasi lebih dari 2 obat paling banyak yaitu propranolol+spironolactone+curcuma sebanyak 11,47%.

Abstract

knowledge about aseptic dispensing at RSUD Dr. Morwardi. This research is a non experimental research with a descriptive survey design. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 50 people. Respondent’s knowledge data was collected using a questionnaire with a total of 10 questions that had been tested for validity with Pearson’s correlation and reliability test with Cronbach’s Alpha which was then analized using SPSS 25. The results showed that knowledge about standard precautions was good, as many as 44 people (88%). Respondents with sufficient knowledge were 4 people (8%), and with poor knowledge were 2 people (4%). The conclusion of this study is that the level of knowledge of pharmaceutical technician about aseptic dispensing at RSUD Dr. Moewardi is good.

Abstract

Among the diseases caused by Candida albicans and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. On the other hand some plants from the Zingiberaceae, among the plants temu ireng, turmeric, temu giring, and temu lawak has been demonstrated to have antifungal activity by previous researchers. Temu kunci is one of the plants from the Zingberaceae, for it has done the research activities of temu kunci ethanol fraction (Boesenbergia pandurata (Roxb.) Schlecht) of the fungus Candida albicans and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. Antifungal activity assays performed with solid dilution method. The results showed that Minimal Bacterisid Concentration (MBC) of the temu kunci ethanol fraction to the growth of the fungus Candida albicans and Trichophyton mentagrophytes are the same is 4%. Thin Layer Chromatography test for examining the content of the compound in plants using a mobile phase of ethyl acetate: benzene petroletum (9:11) with vanillin spray reagent-phase sulfuric acid and ethyl acetate: methanol: water (100:13,5:10) with reagents sitroborat spray and NH3 vapor. Profile kromatrogram temu kunci ethanol fractions showed that fractions containing compounds group terpenoids and flavonoids.

Abstract

Curcuma domestica and Phyllanthus niruri was two plants which has been shown to have an effect hepatoprotective. This research was conducted to determine mechanism study of hepatoprotective combination of Curcuma domestica and Phyllanthus niruri extract to animals induced by paracetamol. Animals devide into 8 groups in random order of 5 each rats. Normal groups were give aquadest, negative groups (Paracetamol) were give CMC Na 0,5 %, positive goups were give silimarin with dose 100 mg/kg, Curcuma domestica groups with a dose of 100 mg/kg, Phyllanthus niruri groups with 200 mg/kg BW as well as a combination of I-III with Curcuma domestica and Phyllanthus niruri extract comparison of each of 75: 50; 50: 100; and 25: 150 mg/kg in BW. Test preparations are given for 7 days. On day 7, all groups except normal induced with paracetamol single dose2.5 g/kg for peroral 30 minutes after administering the test preparations. Hepatoprotective activity were analyzed using liver histopathology. The results showed that the combination I can inhibited liver necrosis and gives better hepatoprotective activity comparable with single dose with optimal Curcuma domestica and Phyllanthus niruri extract dose of 75 and 50 mg/kg.

Abstract

Myrmecodia pendens Merr.& Perry. is a plant that has been widely used as a traditional medicine. One of the chemical active componen in Myrmecodia pendens is flavonoid . The purpose of this study was to determine flavonoid group and that content in Myrmecodia pendens. Extraction method used maceration with 96% ethanol. Qualitative test conducted by phytochemical screening and TLC with stationary phase silica GF254nm and buthanol:acetic acid: water ( 4:1:5 ) as mobile phase. Flavonoid group dan quanitative assay used UV- Vis spectrophotometry methode. The results showed that in Myrmecodia pendens extract contains flavonoids kind Flavonols 3-OH-free and 5-OH-free. Flavonoid total of Myrmecodia pendens ethanol extract 0,6126 % b ⁄b of quercetine.

Abstract

Liver cirrhosis is a pathological condition that describes the end-stage progressive hepatic fibrosis characterized by distortion of the liver architecture and the formation of regenerative nodules. Based on the DIY healthprofile in 2008, liver cirrhosis was among the top ten causes of death in DIY Province with a prevalence 0f 1,87% in the ninth place. The purpose of this study was to determine the picture of prescribing liver cirrhosis patients in the Outpatient Installation of Panti Waluyo Hospital. This research is a descriptive study conducted retrospectively. The sample in this study was a saturated sample, that is all members of the population medical record data of patients diagnosed with liver cirrhosis in the Outpatient Installation of Panti Waluyo Hospital, used as a sample with due regard to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, namely liver cirrhosis patients from internal polyclinics with or without complications, have clear,complete data and the medical record data at least contains data on name, age, gender, diagnosis, therapy and without complications of HIV and Oncology, as many as 61 sheets of medical records. Based on the results of research during 2019 it was found that male patients were 55,74% and women 44,26%. Complicating comorbidities in liver cirrhosis patients were ascites 39,34%, portal hypertension 19,67%, esophageal varices 11,48%, liver encephalopathy 3,28%. Patients received single drug therapy namely propranolol and spironolactone as much as 1,64%, and received the most combinations of 2 drug combinations, namely propranolol-curcuma as much as 19,67%, and received a combination of more than 2 drugs at most, namely propranolol-spironolactone-curcuma as much as 11,47%

Abstract

Ketapang has flavonoid content that is quercetin. The appropriate solvent can attract the active compound of quercetin on ketapang. The selection of solvents adjusts different levels of polarity with the aim of obtaining the best solvent. This study aims to determine the difference between extraction solvents to the quercetin levels of ketapang leaves.Simplisia leaves of ketapang made by winding. Maceration is carried out on ketapang leaves using 3 different solvents namely n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol 90%. The viscous extract obtained was analyzed for yield value and the phytochemical screening test was do qualitatively. Quercetin level measured by UV-Vis Spectrophotometry at a maximum wavelength of 375.6 nm. The absorbance value obtained is entered into the standard quercetin curve equation with the equation y=0.0885x+0.0037.The results of the yield value of ketapang leaf extracts with each different type of solvent resulted in different yield values, as well as the results of phytochemical screening and percent quenching levels obtained.Keywords: Terminalia cattapa L., Yield Extract, Phytochemical, Quercetin

Abstract

Beras hitam (Oryza Sativa L.) merupakan beras lokal yang memproduksi antosianin dengan intesitas tinggi pada aleuron dan endospremia sehingga warna beras menjadi ungu pekat menjadi hitam. Beras hitam memiliki kandungan kimia flavonoid, tanin, dan alkoloid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol dan fraksi etil asetat beras hitam (Oryza Sativa L.) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Serbuk beras hitam dimaserasi menggunakan etanol 96%, kemudian difraksinasi menggunakan pelarut etil asetat. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol dan fraksi etil asetat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Pengujian metode difusi dengan menggunakan konsentrasi 25%,30%, dan 35% menggunakan kontrol positif Ciprofloxacin 5µg terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Hasil pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan ekstrak etanol dan fraksi etil asetat beras hitam dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri dengan adanya daya hambat. Fraksi etil asetat konsentrasi 35% merupakan fraksi teraktif dengan rata-rata diameter zona hambat sebesar 17,47 mm pada bakteri Staphylococcus aureus sedangkan pada bakteri Escherichia coli rata-rata diameter zona hambat fraksi etil asetat sebesar 14,52 mm. Berdasarkan uji analisis data one way anova, masing-masing konsentrasi ekstrak etanol dan fraksi etil asetat menunjukkan adanya perbedaan bermakna dalam aktivitas antibakteri dan tidak memiliki kemampuan aktivitas antibakteri setara dengan kontrol positif Ciprofloxacin dengan nilai sig.(P<0.05).

Abstract

Pseudomonas aeruginosa merupakan bakteri Gram negatif berbentuk batang bersifat patogen oportunistik yang menjadi penyebab utama infeksi nosokomial dan mampu membentuk biofilm pada media pertumbuhan, biofilm sering mengakibatkan pengobatan penyakit infeksi menjadi lebih sulit.  Media pertumbuhan bakteri ada beberapa jenis, komposisi dan merek. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan P. aeruginosa dalam membentuk biofilm pada beberapa media biakan cair. P. aeruginosa diisolasi dari sampel klinis dari rumah sakit, media cair yang digunakan adalah nutrien broth, laktosa broth, brain-heart infusion (BHI), luria bertani broth, dan tripticase soy broth.  Uji pembentukan biofilm menggunakan metode microtiter plate culture technique, kemampuan pembetukan biofilm diukur berdasarakan optical density dengan menggunakan microtiter plate reader pada panjang gelombang 570nm, dengan pewarnaan crystal violet 0,1%, setelah inkubasi 24 jam pada suhu 37oC, dengan replikat 8 kali.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa P. aeruginosa memiliki kemampuan membentuk biofilm pada nutrient broth 0,926±0,081, laktosa broth 0,521±0,041, BHI 1,283±0,031, luria bertani 1,301±0,043, dan media trypticase soy broth 1,563±0,032.  Pembentukan biofilm tertinggi pada trypticase soy broth, dan terendah pada laktosa broth, sedangkan pada media BHI dan luria bertani kemampuan pembentukan biofilm yang setara.  Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah P. aeruginosa memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda dalam membentuk biofilm ketika ditumbuhkan pada media cair yang berbeda.Kata kunci : Biofilm, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, media cair
