Abstract

This study discusses the use of code switching for new students at the Ulil Albaab Islamic boarding school when conducting peer tutoring. The peer tutoring lasts for six months running. The students conduct peer tutoring by learning two foreign languages, namely Arabic and English. The sample of this study was the new students in the Ulil Albaab boarding school. The method of this research is the method of tapping and documentation. Thus, the data that will be obtained is in the form of vocabulary, sentences that contain the use of code switching during peer tutoring. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative. The result of this research is finding the use of code switching by students from three languages, namely Indonesian, Arabic, and English.

Abstract

This research can be formulated as follows: (1) How is the use of language style, especially the style of Personification in the novel My Beautiul Black Pearl by Indriani Taslim. (2) What is the meaning of language style, especially the style of personification language found in the novel My Beautifull Black Pearl by Indriani Taslim. This research is about language style which aims to (1) Describe the style of language, especially the style of personification language in the novel My Beautiful Black Pearl by Indriani Taslim Taslim. (3) Implies the results of language style research in the novel My Beautiful Black Pearl Indriani Taslim's work in learning Indonesian in high school. The result of personification language research in the novel My Beautiful Black Pearl by Indriani Taslim received nineteen personified language style quotes. Based on the results of this study it is advisable for students to improve their ability to understand the contents of the novel in order to add insight, and on the part of the teacher it is advisable to teach more about literature appreciation. Not only that, the novel can also provide an example for students through the values ​​of life and a positive attitude from the characters in literary work.

Abstract

This study aims to develop students' curiosity and creativity through the professional competences of teachers. This research is motivated by the number of educators who want to re-emphasize the presence of character education. In addition, the low level of curiosity and creativity of students to learn new things results in the knowledge obtained by students is not optimal.This study used a naturalistic qualitative method with cluster random sampling technique. As for the subjects of this study, students and teachers at MI Ma'arif Mangunsari and MI Ma'arif Kumpulrejo 02 Salatiga. The results showed that teachers who have been certified have understood the concept of professional competence by carrying out the obligations that are their responsibility. The teacher provides additional quality of learning that has an impact on the development of curiosity of students through their professional competences. Teachers who are able to provide additional quality of learning that have an impact on the development of student creativity. The character development of students must continue to be carried out to create a superior generation not only in academics but also in character.

Abstract

This study was aim to compare between free inquiry learning model and free inquiry modified model on chemistry learning. Free inquiry Modified model is the combination of guided inquiry and free inquiry. This study is quasi experimental by using 2 x 2 factorial design. Each of learning model is prepared with learning device in the form of syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, and written tests to measure the students’ learning outcomes and validated by experts earlier. The sample of study were grade X IPA- 2 and X IPA- 3. The sample grade X IPA- 2 is taken by using guided inquiry models. Meanwhile, grade X IPA-3 is taken by using free inquiry modified model, with the previous semester's scores as the students’ initial abilities. The initial ability score that higher than average as high initial ability and under average score as low initial ability.The student learning outcomes of grade X Senior High School 2 Selong who were taught by free inquiry learning have higher score than students who were taught by free inquiry modified model, it can be seen from the average score of each class, namely X IPA- 2, 78.75 while X IPA- 3, 76.25. Each of grade has increasing score before and after treatment. As the result, the average score for grade X IPA-2 before treatment is 66.75 become 78.75. Whereas, the average score for grade X IPA-3 before free inquiry modified treatment is 64.93 become 76.25.

Abstract

This study was aim to investigate the effect of cooperative learning model with environmental nuances assisted by audiovisual media towards students’ social learning outcomes reviewed from students’ outdoor interest on grade IV SDN Gugus 2 Selong, East Lombok. This study used quasi-experimental approach with post test two group factorial design. The population of the study were 143 students. The sample of this study was 76 students taken by random sampling technique. Student outdoor interest data were taken by questionnaire. Meanwhile, students’ learning outcomes data were collected by tests. The Data of this study were analyzed using Anava AB assisted by SPSS 16.00 for windows. The results showed that: 1) There was a significant difference of students’ social learning outcomes between students cooperative learning model with environmental nuances assisted by audiovisual media and students conventional learning (FA count = 14.489, with p <0.05), 2) There was a significant interaction effect between the cooperative learning model with environmental nuances assisted by audiovisual media and outdoor interest towards students’ social learning outcomes (FA count = 36.202, with p <0.05), 3) For students high outdoor interest, There was difference students’ social learning outcomes between students Cooperative Learning model with environmental nuances assisted by audiovisual media and students conventional learning (tcount> ttable = 6.934> 1,980), 4) For students low outdoor interest, there was no significant difference of students’ social learning outcomes between students Cooperative Learning model with environmental nuances assisted by audiovisual media and students conventional learning (tcount <ttabel = 1.561 <1,980).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe the behavioral values and content of science learning as well as the local cultural potential of its support in the curriculum 2013 in the theme of Ecosystem at the fifth grade of elementary school. The reasearch was conducted under descriptive qualitative design. The data analysis were done by using descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research are cultural observer, teacher of grade 5 elementary school, SBdP teacher, ande the parents of grade 5 students. The research toward teachers and students book about Ecosystem reveals that: (1) the spiritual behaviors which appear are the obedience of worship (2) the social behaviors which appear are being honest, discipline, responsible, well mannered, care and having self-confidence. (3) The content of science learning that apper are the environment, the univers, and natural resources. (4) the local cultural values which appear in the higher class activities that support the development of behavioral values in Ecosystem theme are, some traditional games, kids story (waran), singing (melawas), greeting, and obligation to pray. Furthermore, the result of this research reveals prototype kids book stories based on local culture in the theme of Ecosystem in grade 5 elementary school.

Abstract

This study were aimed: (1) to know the effect of using scramble method in basic reading skill of the kindergarden students group B. (2) to know the effectiveness of the scramble method in basic reading skill of the kindergarden students group B. The type of research that used was quasi experimental study, with Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group Design. The population of this study were all students of group B TK Pertiwi Selong and the sample were student of groups B1 and B2. The technique of data collection were using interview, validation of research instrument and observation. The data analysis in this study was used an independent sample t test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that there were the differences in the final results after being given treatment between the results of the control class and the experimental class with a percentage of 70.83% in the experimental class and 56.49% in the control class. The t-test results showed p <0.05, namely p = 0.024, so it can be concluded that the scramble method is effective to use in the beginning of reading skills of group B children.

Abstract

This research is an effort to improve the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education through the Snowball Throwing method for grade VI SD No.107 / IX Lopak Alai students. This study aims to ask whether there is an increase in learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Religious Education in the matter of Avoiding despicable behavior in grade VI SD No.107 / IX Lopak Alai academic year 2017/2018 using the Snowball Throwing Method. The application of the method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The study was conducted in 2 cycles, each of which contained 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The result of the average value in the pre-cycle was 64.07 with a completeness percentage of 25.92%. In the first cycle, the average value became 75.37 with a percentage of 66.66% completeness. In the second cycle it increased again with an average score of 86.48 students with a passing percentage of 92.59%. Thus it can be concluded that learning using the Snowball Throwing Method can improve the learning outcomes of Islamic Education in class VI SD No.107 / IX Lopak Alai in 2017/2018. Abstract

This research is supported by: 1) For the work of teachers in carrying out teaching and learning activities is very varied and the quality of the teacher varies. 2) The progress and development of science and technology (IPTEK) requires adjustment and professional development of teachers to be able to develop education in schools. 3) Ministerial Decree: Number 84/2002 regarding professional positions and credit figures requires teachers to further improve their professional abilities, work, excel in carrying out their daily school duties. 4) The natural conditions of Indonesia require a communication system and professional development of teachers by using multi dimensional. From the above background, the writer conducted a research entitled "Organizing School Based Inset as an Effort to Increase Teacher Professionalism in Teaching and Learning Activities at SD No.75 / IX Muaro Kumpeh Academic Year2019/2020". The results of the study show that School Based Inset at SDNo.75 / IX Muaro Kumpeh is a very important instrument to advance the teaching system in the classroom and School Based Inset has an important role in efforts to improve teacher professionalism in teaching and learning activities, because it makes teachers more advanced, insightful. more modern science and technology.

Abstract

This research investigated Moral Value and Character Building Education in Folklore of Batu Gantung. In daily individually with society, we must have culture, attitude, character. It depends in moral and ethnic that can build our national character. The research aimed to find out the moral values and character building education that implied in Folklore of Batu Gantung. The research was conducted in the Public Library and National Library. This research was conducted by using Library Research Method. The instruments for collecting data was library research and documentation. The data analysis was the result of research in Public Library and National Library or some library which keep many documents of Folklore of Batu Gantung. After analyzing the folklore, the researcher found some moral lessons and character building education such as; strong belief, kind-hearted, love affection, sacrificing for others, bravery, enthusiasm, fairness, responsibility, citizenship and caring.
